I haven't been very active here lately, so I feel like I deserve some kind of explanation for all my watchers and customers out there. First thing you need to keep in mind is that I'm brazilian, and we were having our elections for president the last month.
Since the result was out, I was taken aback by grief and I'll explain you briefly why: the chosen president is a machist, homophobic, misogynist, dictator and torture sympathizer man. Brazil's democracy is at stake, and we'll be having him in power for 4 years.
If you want more in depth info on that, you may want to read this article. I don't want to talk about him further.
Many of you may not be aware, but both me and my mate are biologically female, and thus, obviously, a homosexual couple. Brazil is already the country that most kills LGBT people in the world, and our history with machism isn't good either; women are harassed and killed in great numbers as well. I don't fear the new president himself, personally, but I fear his followers. His hate demeanors gave these people voice and courage to hurt, kill and persecute minorities: LGBT people, black people, immigrants, very poor people, women (that aren't exactly a minority, but suffer due to machism's antics).
It's similar to what's happening to you, american people, with your president, mr. Trump; ours is rather well acquainted with yours, so you can get a grasp of how similar their thinking is.
So, naturally, that had me feeling disheartened for a few days. Despite living in a pacific town, I was afraid to go outside while people were still so euphoric their preferred candidate was elected. However, people are willing to resist for their lives and rights, and so am I; in a safe way, so you need not worry.
However, my dearies, I need some time รณvo I'm still letting all the info sink in, and even though I don't feel as dishearned and hopeless as I was feeling a few days ago, I'm aware that I still need some time to myself. Time to get my hopes up, and convince myself things won't be as bad as people fear, that both me and my loved ones will be okay if we do our best to stay safe.
Hard times are coming for brazilians, indeed, however, he wasn't elected by majority, so we, the ones who don't agree with his ideals and followers, actually outnumber them. I believe we may have to fight, but we're not alone! I'm not alone for sure, and for my brazilian followers out there, I'll repeat, you're not alone either.
โ I'm so sorry for the long "vent", if I can call it like this, but I think you deserved to know why I'm being more reclusive lately รณvo To distract myself, I've been taking part in cute little events on closed species groups on dA, so that leaves me little time to interact and be my usual self online.
I've decided to take a brief break from commissions and new YCH content for a while (this time for reals; whenever I say I'm gonna take a break, I actually keep working hahaha). There's a new YCH planned, but it won't be my top priority. I'll be drawing for myself for a while, getting back to my Pokรฉmon gijinka projects, maybe draw some fanart... I don't know, what floats my boat so I can cheer myself up!
Commissions aren't exactly closed, but are on hold, meaning I'll still take inquiries but start working on them only some time later instead of immediately as I usually do.
I'll be still doing closed species stuff as well, so I'll always have something to post. And also, I'd like to announce the gijinka month!
I know many of you like my gijinka designs, so I'll have at least 1 new design per week to show! I'm really pumped to get to work again on these outside of commissioned ones, so I'll be doing that!
Well, I feel like I've talked enough haha Thank you very much for the attention and continued support, everyone! Please don't worry about me, I'm fine, I just need some time not to let despair reign over me. People are afraid and scared, so it's easy to get carried away. We have to be strong now, so I'll be doing my best!
And you, who's brazilian too, and are scared: you're not alone! Don't let them scare you! You're bigger than what's to come.

Firstly, the Halloween YCH is open! It's that time of the year again, ohohoho~ I've decided to update last year's YCH to provide a better finished picture (now with shading and a cute bg!) for everyone who gets a slot, so head over there to claim yours! The new milestone on which I'd do a raffle again has been surpassed sometime ago! Things have been a bit hectic over here with my moving and all, but I think I'm all settled to at least launch it~ ยดv`
The way it works is just like the last raffle: you comment here and I'll assign you a number (if you've followed the rules properly!) and, after the ending date, I'll randomly select a number using a generator.
(yes, I'll be listening to all the songs you guy send my way! haha Not having a favorite song is okay, too, just let me know if you don't!)
The winner gets a full body drawing with flat colors of a character of their choice: it may be an OC, a fictional character from anime/manga/TV series, a fursona, etc. I can draw human, humanoid, anthro and feral characters, so feel free to pick a favorite as your prize!

Some news + became a Trusted Artist!

August is now gone, but that doesn't mean all work is done! รฒvo9 I'm very happy with my progress but as far as living beings limitations go, I'll be going through a quite busy time this month too; so here's a heads up for anyone that may be interested on knowing how I'll make things work.

๐ I'm in moving to a new apartment! Me and my relatives have been unsatisfied with how far from town our current apartment is, and with how expensive rent became; we moved here because three years ago rent was reasonable, but for a while it's been bothering us. It seems we found a new and nice apartment in town, so we're going through all that moving process of cleaning things up and packing. I may have some delays and be a little inactive due to that, but I'll be sure to tell whenever we're all settled in.
๐ Comments will take a while to be replied due to that; as if I'm not slow enough already haha :'D But no worries! If you need to talk to me about commissions and the like, please feel free to send me a note here on FA, I always reply to these. Within due time, all comments will be properly answered, and I apologize for the delay, but also thank you all for leaving comments รงvรง I read every single of them, and your support and kindness gets me going!
๐ Because of what has been stated above, no new YCH will be done for a while. I closed two of my very very old YCH (Pokemon GSC and Pokemon Villains) because I think they spent a good time around! I want to be able of bringing a brand new YCH next. I have some ideas, but these will have to wait a bit~ ยดv`
๐ As I promised I'd do once reaching 300 watchers, I'll be hosting a free art raffle again, hopefully soon! Since I have Patreon rewards and commissions to prioritize, I'll wait until I'm all settled in the new apartment to launch the raffle, but if everything goes well, it shall be surely done during this month! Some delays and mild inactivity to be expected!๐ฆ
Posted 7 years agoHello, everyone! August has barely begun, but things are already really busy on my side. There's a lot of stuff I'm currently doing, and some other stuff I'm planning to do which will take a bit of my time, so here's a heads up for all of you!
๐ I'm in the proccess of lecturing some online art classes! I got an invitation from an enterprise after they found my work online and have been working with them for a while to get this going :3c
While I'm already somewhat used to teaching others stuff (that's the degree I pursued in university), getting the video classes done takes some time. I'd love to share more on this with you, but for now, this is all I'm allowed to say.
(Sadly, these classes are being taught in portuguese instead of english, just so you know before showing any interest on them :'3)
๐ In September, me and my mate tiaamaito will be reaching our 2nd anniversary! Tiaa totally deserves not only my love but also my dedication, so I'll be dedicating some of my time to make him a gift. Usually our anniversary gift ideas are way through the roof, so these tend to be elaborated drawings that require some work from us, and because of that we need time to do so. Hope you guys can understand that!
๐ Because of what I stated above, commissions and Patreon rewards will be delayed a bit. No worries, though! I won't be delaying these too much (i.e. more than two weeks), and if any of them has a deadline, it'll be completed within the required time.
I'm working hard to keep my usual quality not only regarding my art, but also regarding my customers! However, I tend to feel tired way more than usual since I'm tackling all of this all at once, so some inactivity periods are to be expected; I have lots of art done which I didn't have the chance to post yet, but it takes energy to sit at the notebook to post them and I've been lacking the latter haha :'3
๐ Again, because of the reasons stated above, no new YCH will be done for a while. I intended to do one regarding summer but WELP, haha, I let it slip past me. The ones listed in the end of this journal are still open, though, so if anyone wants to grab a slot, feel free to!
Welp, hope everyone understands, and thank you so so much for all the support so far! You guys' love gets me very far, trying to do my best more and more so I can keep showing my art, and making it!

I'm back home from my travel now, it was a heck of a wonderful week spent with my dearly beloved tiaamaito โค๏ธ We ate some delicious stuff together (had never tried crepes until now!), saw some nice places and rested a lot. I'm really happy and refreshed from this little time we had only for us, but now it's time to go back to work~ ยดv`

I'll refrain from checking FA and the like during next week because this is meant to be not only a break for us, but also a very needed private time together.

Posted 8 years agoThe poll for my upcoming Pokemon YCH is now officially closed! Votes cast after today won't be counted in. And the winners were...
RSE Archie and Maxie, in the first place!
And Rainbow Rocket Giovanni, in second place!
Cyrus and Guzma were tied in third place, and sadly I don't think I could do anymore bases since the main 4 I planned to do were already sorted out. Maybe next time, guys!
I'll start working next week to bring them out asap~

Since by now everyone is pretty much with their Ultra Sun or Ultra Moon copy already, I feel like doing a villainous themed YCH to help fill the expense I had buying mine! I plan to do at least 3 bases.
The one that's been decided already is a Rainbow Rocket grunt one, but I need help deciding on the other two! So, which would you like to see the most going along in this YCH?
Giovanni? Maxie or Archie? Faba??? There are lots of options since there are lots of villains, so go ahead and cast your vote!
