My computer's been acting weird lately. Gibberish has been showing up randomly in web pages and programs, weird sounds have been coming out of my speakers even when it's off, and my keyboard and mouse have been acting up, as if they had a mind of their own. Anyone else having the same problem?

Well god damn. I thought my name was totally original (quick backstory; I suffer from chronic fatigue, and I knew "karoshi" meant "burn-out" in japanese, so I took it and flipped it around to make "shiroka") but apparently, it's also a perfectly valid last name in countries such as Italia, Bulgaria and Albania.

So I guess my character's more European than Japanese after all. *shrugs*

...is how here, like 80% of the journals are either about streaming some shit or pimping commission spots.

The ability of the average furry to talk about interesting topics looks pretty bleak.

So I'll be living in a 3½ apartment on Gaspé street, with plenty of light, room and allegedly calm neighbors. That's sweet.

Now I have a job, a home, and I'm in the big city. Now all that's left is to treat my unipolar depression =C

I waited too long to actively search for a place to stay, so all that's left in my prices range are ugly basements or closets with a window. And with the kind of fucktardery that my sister's ex is making me endure, I just can't stay with him for long either.

I think I'll have to raise my budget a bit... again. God this city is expensive -_-

I don't have a vehicle, so I'm either on foot or public transport, I don't have an apartment so I'm stuck with my sister's ex-boyfriend, which happens to be a fairly dominant and borderline self-righteous type (although admittedly pretty helpful, even when you didn't explicitly ask him for help) and I don't have money to pay for "non-essential" services, so I must go to the library or local McDonald's for internet access...

...BUT, I'm finally a citizen of one of the nation's two biggest cities, both in terms of size and popularity (the other being Montreal, of course, but apparently it's in ruins and the homeless are coming out of the woodworks over there).

So, anyone up for a game of Scrabble later?

For me, having energy is as rare as a republican congressman not bringing up religion in his speech. And would you know it, today's the day!... I wonder if it has something to do with that new medication I took this morning.

Anyhow, maybe I could use this energy, if there's any left tonight, to finish that freaking drawing of Shiroka reading on a tree branch. The limbs and fingers look miserable, which is one of the many things that kept me from keeping up with it. That would look awesome once it's done though. I asked Freckles to do it but he said no. I think he's only into porn. Who am I to judge? =/

There's another piece I think I could actually hire a commissioner to do, unless I find the motivation and lack of shame in my skills to do myself; a three part pictures showing my character and a blank one (could be you if you want! Show me a ref and I'll do it) hugging in three different ways; standing up, laying on the back, and face to the ground. Hard to describe but that would be so precious. <3 I'd title it "Better than sex". Because it is. :3c

But these are just words. Knowing myself, that's all I'll have accomplished in the end. =( Cross your fingers is all I'll say.

Edit: Disregard that, by the end of the evening I had completely lost my good mood and fell in an existential crisis. Doesn't mean I don't want these drawings done anymore though, but now it's just wishful thinking, as ususal. =/

Last night I made a dream in which I was taking part in a theater play at FA:U where every actors including myself were in fursuits. I've never been this ashamed in my entire life.

So I just got this game yesterday (I'm always one generation late video game-wise) and from what I understand, it's like a MMORPG, but with no MMO and no RPG.

What the heck is that.

On the plus side, the music is stuck into my head. And the animals are fucking adorable. <3

On a side note, it's too bad I don't have a gameboy advance or e-card reader, looks like half of the game relies on that.

I'm all for public resources and wealth sharing, but communism always ends up in dictatorship. So I'm seriously considering starting a socialist furs account. I believe a lot of fuzzies would identify with this movement.

I don't really like arguing about politics though, but I know my stuff. This would just be a landmark of some sort. But anyway...

...and now I can officially say I don't get this craze about the show without having to excuse myself.

I mean, I can understand why this may appeal to grown men, and I might actually consider watching the first season if I have nothing else to do, but I still don't get why so many people, not even necessarily furs even, are so religiously addicted to this show, to the point of consuming more derived products than a busload of ten years old girls.

Still, I must say I'm glad this show is better than its 80's counterpart, despite being made in... ugh... Flash (no but seriously, animators are so fucking lazy nowadays. It's always money first, quality next. Give me some traditional hand-made animation, god damnit!).

I'm in a terrible financial situation and I need some help to pay my bills until I can find another job; As luck would have it, I lost my job three months after moving to this town, and my medical condition makes it even a little trickier. Now I hate begging so I thought that despite my non-existent drawing skills, I could offer commissions to the generous souls of the furry community. What do you think?

I can draw anything! clean, mature, fetish-y... just don't expect a masterpiece of epic proportions. You can see some of my work on my FA user page. I don't have a lot to show because I keep most of my drawings to myself.

I would charge as follows;

$10.00 - sketch
$15.00 - inked
$20.00 - colored
50% of the price for each additional character (eg. two colored characters would come to $30.00)

I can also make php or perl scripts, java applets or flash animations, if you need any of that. Prices would vary.

Well, it's not so much a bug or hack but rather basically a... form redirection? Just look at the source code.

This is, as far as I know, totally inoffensive. Still funny, though.

I'm going to break the emptiness of my journal spot with this, because over a year of membership without a journal is pretty shitty... can you say I had a membershit?

I got like two pieces uploaded here, which, even though they are in scraps, are barely enough to justify my presence here. I'd like to draw more (or at all for that matter) but I just can't seem to find the drive for it. I wish I had, I know I can draw, somewhat anyway, but it almost seems boring and like a waste of time compared to everything else I could do.

Anyway, I finally made an icon all by myself. It even blinks, go me! I'll try to draw something else in the current of the next year.
