Well, shit. Just got into it and now it's going away.

Worse, my friend's been playing for years and this essentially means his characters are just plain going to die. He's somewhere between livid and despondent over this. Can't say I blame him.

If I bitched as much about my life as much as a lot of people here do, I'd be at it all day. My job is shit, my house is a godforsaken sty, and I'm essentially alone in the world.

And you know what? I don't bitch about it - because it could be much, MUCH worse.

I've lost count how many artists I've seen trying to make Rule 34 Pokedexes. They start off well - a string of good pictures of the starters and their evolutions, maybe some creativity on the early bug-types, but sooner or later, the artist realizes this is a huge project and the pictures start to taper off. I think the farthest I've seen one go is about 30.

This is one of those things that people don't think about until they're already in it too deep to stop without losing face. The problem is, they aren't thinking ahead: How many pictures can one person really do?

So here's the actual suggestion: Get together on this. Come up with one of these as a group project, a collaboration of multiple artists. Cycle through artists so one person isn't doing all the work.

But I'm not an artist. Maybe there's something I don't understand.

What, you're surprised? I spend much of my time hanging around the worst shitholes the Internet has to offer outside of Usenet, and take time out of my day to clean up at places like Paheal when morons come by with no fucking clue how to do things correctly.
