I still can’t believe I’m finally seeing some success after YEARS of planning and struggling it’s still a struggle as every penny of this is going into production but it may also launch me into my dream career! Posted 2 years agoWe are really really in a bind. We are looking into some disability but that takes time. I am supposed to be on work rest since my right shoulder and knee have been really bad since the car accident a couple years ago and have gotten worse so I got two cortisone shots and am in PT but I’ve been told not to sculpt or draw for the month and am doing some freelance editing to get close to rent. Without my only other option we are really in a bind. They are treating my shoulder and I WILL be back to drawing soon but will need to catch up on a few backlog things.
On top of this my landlord informed us our rent is going up by 500 more dollars when we were barely getting by. We are looking for a roommate but that also takes time.
We would have been ok had I gotten accepted to a local show this month I was counting on but I didn’t get off the waitlist. Hubby is still struggling to get steady work and has been helping take care of me.
My credit card is maxed out so we can’t even get food or cat food we are waiting to see if we are approved for food stamps. It’s bad. I don’t really share everything but it is really bad and it also feels embarrassing to reveal this. Like I’m a failure or something. My minimum card payment is 200.
I’m not asking for free handouts we have lots of art and products to sell.

Taking Two Emergency Commission slots or donation
Posted 3 years agoHey everyone, I am trying to catch up but with unemployment having run out, shows a few months off and all the increase in prices for groceries, gas, and our living expenses money isn’t stretching as far as I’ve made it before. I am behind on hours for my freelance work I need to catch up on but could really use some help from our amazing furry supporters to help us get through this month. I am opening for two commissions, but will need to push them back to after I catch up on my current work load for the month. Or if you just want to help us out without adding to my workload we would be ever so grateful! I need to purchase more cat food, cleaning supplies, and groceries, and pay for our internet and credit card bill still this month. Hey everyone! I have been crazy busy but also with my ADHD It’s hard to manage so many different social media accounts. I will try and post here more especially if I do any commission stuff but I’m actually doing a lot more professional fantasy art. If you like my character work, paintings or just want to show your support please follow me on Twitter! Just married! Raising funds for mini-honeymoon
Posted 5 years agoHello everyone! After five attempts (will be sharing some funny art to tell a bit of the story) my fiancé of five years, Malvir and I are finally married!
We have had a string of hardships first we wanted to get married at the titanic museum but that was during when I got accepted to my Don Bluth animation class. I got really busy and stressed and couldn’t both study and plan the wedding and even though my mom has put down a deposit on it we made the tough decision to postpone, so that “ship sank”...
THEN we picked a new theme, Disney’s tangled which we feel actually coincides a lot with our real life love story and Malvir looks a lot like the leading man from it. We picked a new venue called “Noah’s”. We wanted to do a more “do it yourself” since me and my friends are artists, but my other side of the family sort of took over and started to be like a train off it’s tracks, we were going along with it anyways because protesting did not good and My family hired a decorator we were all set had a new date and THEN... we missed the boat at Noah’s! As in the venue went bankrupt.
So my stepmom who was already taking control of everything anyways decided FOR us that we were now going to have a crazy huge extravagant wedding at the Hilton for 150 people we didn’t really want BUT we got to keep our theme and our date. Sure we’d rather put that money towards a roof over our head, or security and food but it wasn’t our money or our choice and were literally told “it wasn’t about us”. ANYWAYS we were all set to have our wedding THEN our Rabbi died suddenly while on a vacation. We mourned they loss, found a new officiant and were all set to go forward even got to keep the same date! AND... dun dun DUUUUN!!! Covid forced us to cancel our wedding.
Fast forward to two weeks ago and we FINALLY got to have a VERSION of our dream fairy tale wedding. It was beautiful still over the top and more than we asked (which we felt was sort of wasteful since less than 30 people came) BUT again not our money or choice and we got to sing and dance together and finally be married and start our life!!
We have been through many many difficulties over the last few years. Including my husband having to work a contract job that keeps him away from home during the week out of town where I only get to see him 2 days a week.
Because of Covid we can’t go to our larger dream destination of Japan, BUT We want to finally go to pigeon forge and the titanic Museum and all the sites in Tennessee we originally would have been able to see. We estimate we will need to raise around 3K to go.
This would include 7 nights of hotel, tickets to the museum, the food, and one couples massage to de stress.
I am selling 50 limited edition thank you prints that will be mailed, personalized and a small headshot sketch of your choice, done on traditional paper included with them for those that contribute 100 or more! I’ll link the image in a moment!

Life Update and Patreon! Pledge to see Don Bluth critique me

I am sorry I have been MIA between wedding planning, convention prep, Don Bluth class (this is a big one it is SOOOO hard! He has us doing like 40 drawings a week!) PLUS trying ot catch up on comissions, pricing toys to sell, physical therapy for my back, AND attempting to clean my house I haven't been able to be on as often! However, I am posting a lot of my work in progresses, as well as my critiques from Don Bluth himself on my patreon! You can learn from my mistakes, see what he says and how he pushes me to be a better artist and YOU guys can also help support me in this endever! I have a LOT of bills and I have had to cut a lot of my shows which is my main source of income in order to give me all to this class. Don Bluth has been my biggest inspiration since I was a baby.
My goal with this class is to apply for a job with him, OR if that doesn't pan out I will have a killer portofolio to apply at cartoon network, or nickelodeaon and pitch a series.

I am sorry I have been MIA between wedding planning, convention prep, Don Bluth class (this is a big one it is SOOOO hard! He has us doing like 40 drawings a week!) PLUS trying ot catch up on comissions, pricing toys to sell, physical therapy for my back, AND attempting to clean my house I haven't been able to be on as often! However, I am posting a lot of my work in progresses, as well as my critiques from Don Bluth himself on my patreon! You can learn from my mistakes, see what he says and how he pushes me to be a better artist and YOU guys can also help support me in this endever! I have a LOT of bills and I have had to cut a lot of my shows which is my main source of income in order to give me all to this class. Don Bluth has been my biggest inspiration since I was a baby.
My goal with this class is to apply for a job with him, OR if that doesn't pan out I will have a killer portofolio to apply at cartoon network, or nickelodeaon and pitch a series.

Posted 8 years agoFirst off I just got back from NYCC. I promoted my new plush, which I plan to launch the Kickstarter for this summer!
I got my cintiq replaced so I can do digital art again.
Did a COUPLE inktober drawings but I got so behind I'm just going to do my best to do some as I can. I am doing a different types of unicorns theme.
I am catching up on my biggest most pressing commissions and then to a few that have now been hanging over my head for YEARS I am going to be refunding the remainder of what is not finished so I can move on. My life is just too crazy and is showing no signs of slowing down, so unless it's a livestream commission or a single wire sculpture commission once I clear my current que, I won't be taking large scale commissions for a while.
Now for the HUGE news. First off my fiancé and I have finally set a wedding date and we plan to be married in December 2018. Weddings take lots of planning and coordinating especially admist life and shows. (Although I already planned to do less shows next year)
Now for the BIGGEST news:
I have just been excepted for one out of only twenty slots for a once in a lifetime opportunity to study under my lifetime idol Don Bluth creator of "All dogs go to heaven", Land Before Time, Secret of Nimn, Anastasia and more. It is a year long class studying script writing, stoeyboarding, layout, animation and at the end I'd actually get to go spend a week with him and Gary Goldman in Arizona for the final.

Only problem is it's 10 grand and with my wedding and life and still trying to climb out of debt I'm not sure if I'll be able to do it or not yet. I'm praying my dad will see what a huge opportunity this is and help, but I don't want to not have a wedding after waiting over eight years or so with my fiancé and finally planning it. ANYWAYS, I'll keep you all updated! Miss all my supporters and am hoping to be a bit more active soon!

My friend just passed
Posted 9 years agoIt is with a very heavy heart and utter disbelief that I have to tell you my good friend 
zorak-n-moltar has passed away. Words can not express how devastated I am. I got to know him well the past couple of years and he was such a great person and amazing artist we'd talk on the phone for hours. My hear is broken :(

Posted 10 years agoI'm still chugging away trying to catch up on work! I have some amazing news for all of you!
Malvir and I are finally engaged!! He proposed to me! Here is the story of how he did it:
For those that couldn't be with us yesterday here is the short story of how he proposed:
My fiancé and I had been together for eight years and I was beginning to think he would never pop the question. yesterday December 12th, he took me to breakfast where two members of his family from Indiana met us. This was a surprise. They said they were in town and wanted to see us. Somehow I had the idea for them to see "wild lights at the Columbus zoo" I had wanted to go for three years and it seemed like a good interactive activity. Little did I know this was what he wanted me to do.
He had planned this for a month. Even though I thought it was my idea, we arrived and were met with all of our closest friends. He had royally screwed up my bday this year so he covered saying this was a surprise party to make up for it. He purposely bickered with me all day so I would not think anything were out of the ordinary.
He is just that way. Ha-ha.
We walked around enjoying the lights whilst I helped herd our group, not wanting anyone to get separated in the dark. Suddenly, my boyfriend stopped and all my friends made a circle. I thought we were just taking a picture, when suddenly, my boyfriend turned to thank all of them for being there. There were tears in his eyes and he turned to me. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. One of our friends perfectly captured the moment when he asked me, and the embrace when I said yes. He got me a tanzanite and diamond ring because he told me I am more unique than just a plain diamond. He used to work in jewelry. I am so happy after eight years to start this new chapter with my soulmate, and so blessed to have such great friends that share our lives!
I am currently in the process of creating a patreon because we REALLY need funds so I can afford my art materials and also jumpstart my novel and graphic novel! I have already completed the first 10 or so Chapters that exclusive patrons will get to read before they are released, and there will also be other opportunities such as possible wire sculpture commissions!
I have had no access to my large computer as my office is temporarily being rented so I haven't been able to work on the last staggering commissions I owe. ALl of the started sketches and customer files are on that computer. However I do have my cintiq and have been working on my wire sculptures as well, so I can continue to create new things. I hope a lot of my loyal followers will take this opportunity to help me continue to create and support a story I think will touch a lot of people!

Hey everyone! Update Book and Patreon
Posted 10 years agoSorry I have been gone so long! Our convention season finally has drawn to an end! I apologize again for still being a bit behind on the few looming commissions I owe a couple people. My office is temporarily being rented and it is difficult to work on my big computer that has all my files. In addition I have been swamped trying to stay afloat, run my business, make new product, pay bills, and support two people and three cats. I have been putting off patreon because I really wanted it to be perfect and make sure I can deliver what I promise to everyone.
I think I finally have enough content and stuff I am working on to justify doing it. I HATE asking for help, but I really need it. I need to make my art to make money, but need money to make art.. its a vicious cycle and I sometimes feel like I should just never sleep again. We have a lot of looming bills, and we have realized in order to really grows as a business and make this work we need our own van, instead of always having to rent.
I am too behind and too swamped with my own design work to take on new commissions at the moment, BUT I have a lot of awesome products of my art for sale, and other great opportunities for all of you that are interested! More info below after my update!

My Unicone plush is in the prototype phase! I will be posting some adorable pics soon! It still needs a few revisions, but it is getting there! Once they are made I will have the first 125 available for test market, and then I will be launching a kickstarter to get the other flavors of those, and some other adorable fat mythical food related creatures produced!
2. I did the Nanowrimo challenge last month (Write 50K words in the month of november) And I am a winner! I completed the goal, and not only that I got in my local newspaper! You can check out the article here: http://www.dispatch.com/content/sto.....nterprise.html
I am writing a fully fleshed out novel series of the same story I am writing my graphic novel series on. It will be a little different and have a bit more backstory and other fun things that aren't easily accomplished with a graphic novel. I am doing both but the novel may be faster to get out there. I will be offering the first few chapters and possibly even more to specific patrons of my patreon that will have the opportunity to read it before it is released and even see some early versions of the story. I MAY (just like with the graphic novel) Have some opportunities for some higher tier consistent patrons to have their 'sonas or other characters that would work within the constraints of the universe make a couple cameos.
