Wow.. So... Really?
Posted 14 years agoSo apparently people can post smut, crap, and doodles on notebook paper, as well as photos of their front steps, but I get a submission taken down because it included plush that I own? I'm sorry but this is the biggest load of crap I have ever heard. This site is really starting to Piss me off. I have a lot of great friends here and the community for the most part is pretty cool, but the way this site seems to be moderated, organized, and run seems a bit juvenile to me. It was an artistic pic where i had set up lighting, and posed my new baby kitten with the three hyenas that someone on this site Bought me in exchange for an art commission. I decided in return to take some cute artistic shots of the gift and our new baby. It was moved to scraps later to organize my gallery as best as I can on this site, and has been there for months, until today I received this note:

ok REALLY?? That wasn't just a candid shot of cheeze-its or something stupid it was an artistically composed picture of some stuffed animals I received that I am happy about with my kitten interacting with them. I would call that humorous photography and art. I am pretty P.O.d over this. ESPECIALLY seeing some of the crap that clogs the pores of the front page of this site most of the time.

Commissions are Closed until Spring
Posted 14 years agoI have a few more commissions in my que that I am finishing up, but otherwise commissions are closed until probably March. I will still do some random streaming perhaps here and there, depending on my work load from my class. However, I am really trying to take this time to push my art career and pursue getting a tv series for Waffles. I will do my best to keep you all updated, and I may take some smaller one session stream commissions here and there if time allows, so keep your eyes open. I will be making announcements via my journal and submissions!
Thank you to all those that have been wonderful supports and contributors to my mate's teeth fund. He thankfully has a decent job now, so he is also saving towards his teeth. That is pretty much where all of our money is going to go for a bit. I will hopefully be able to raise even more in the spring, but for now, I am HOPING that cap that was glued back in holds for a couple more months while I take this class. He isn't biting into anything and tears all his food into tiny pieces to try and be careful, so hopefully it lasts that long. I just can't both work on my career and do the professional timely commissions that I would want to do. I only think it fair that if I am paid for something I treat it as in high regard as any of my other professional work. If it's paid for, it is a professional job. I am keeping my price list up as I stated so that those of you who didn't get to commission me this time around, can make notes of what you will want, and get a rough estimate so you can save up and be ready as soon as I open. I hope you all have a great holiday season and a wonderful New year filled with hope and joy!

A very WTF Dream
Posted 14 years agoThought I would share this will of you as well. SOMEDAY I plan to take all of my WTF dreams and do a series of oil paintings. One of my many lifetime project goals before I die.
Had yet another completely WTF dream last night. It involved an evil Kevin Bacon who was staying at this ladies house, or was renting from her. He wound up being completely insane, and having some sort of dismorphia where he thought his face was melting. It was like I could see through his eyes, and he thought that his tongue was dripping out of his mouth, and his innards were spilling out through... a widening hole in his cheek. He wound up screaming and losing his mind, and accidentally killing the ladies small dog. Randy and I were called to arrive on the scene as cleanup crew. I was asking her about a coffee thurmous lid, whether it was trash or not. She said yes, and then changed her mind and took it from my hand. Randy and I continued to pick up trash around her house, until I realized Crazy Kevin Bacon was still there, freaking out in another room. We decided to leave and come back later. We walked out of the house, only to realize it had gotten dark. We walked through the front porch and into what looked like a long hallway of screen and netting. Almost like a mosquito net, only thicker. There was a window and Randy told me that I needed to see something. We looked out the window and saw that a herd of dinosaurs were running by. I was shocked and excited, so I tried to call to a small one, not thinking. Randall looked at me, panicked, and exclaimed, "don't do that! What are you going to do if one comes over?" I hadn't thought of that.. Then my dream got even more bizarre. Randy and I tried to squeeze up against the side of the wall as far as we could hoping the duck billed dinosaur wouldn't see us. It eventually did, and ripped through the screen. Then it tried to talk to us, and wound up insulting Randy about HIS trenchcoat, saying that the one he was wearing wasn't as good, as the dinosaurs.. Yea... Then the "Anatosaurus" apoligized and said that he was only SAYING that because the trenchcoat he was wearing was really a gift for Jessica (my sister)'s friend Danielle, but it was a guy's coat and he didn't want her to know. Sounded reasonable, I know... HAHAH Then I woke up.

probably about 4 or 5 in people years (young prime of life equine age)

Standard donkey, but he is a bit large for his species
5. Do they have a crush?
Eventually there will be one, but not until probably second season or so. It will be a surprise :) Mainly I would say he is in love with food though haha.
6. Do they have many friends?
He has two animal best friends, and one human best friend. Waffles is friendly to a fault, but usually tends to make friends wherever he goes.
7. What planet is your character from?
The planet Ohio
8. Does your character like to eat?
That is an understatement. Waffles main motivations in life usually revolve around his large butter colored fat stomach in some way. He is fat and happy, and spends most of his time eating.
9. What's his/her favorite food?
Waffles, but pretty much anything sugary and doughy.
10. What's his/her favorite drink?
Water, or apple juice. He will go crazy over applejuice.
11. Is your character annoying?
To his arch nemesis, extremely. It is most frustrating when you are attempting to piss someone off, and ruin their life, and they seem to think that everything you do is so nice and wonderful, and you are best friends.. haha
13. Is your character loved?
By just about everyone on the farm he lives at. He is a very lovable guy.
14. Is your character hated?
Yes, by Buck, and Burger and Bagel just because they pretty much do what Buck says.
15. Is he/she emo/goth?
LOL no.
16. Is he/she straight, bisexual, or gay?
Straight.
17. Is he/she a virgin?
Yes. God that is just weird to think about! Its a donkey for crying out loud ahaha. Oh wait, *looks at the site she is writing this for...*

Eating, Eating, Being lazy
19. Is your character normal?
I would say he is a pretty abnormal donkey.
20. Is your character attractive?
LOL he is attractive in his own way I guess. He attracts people with his friendliness and likability. And he has nice hair haha.

He eats. Or sometimes if something is REALLY bad, on a VERY rare occasion, he may ACTUALLY lose his appetite. He sort of goes off alone though if he sad. Most of the time though he is extremely happy, or accommodating. He doesn't anger easily.

Nope.
23. Does your character overreact?
Nope he is pretty easy going.
24. Is your character a criminal?
Not at all, although he HAS been known on occasion to "liberate" food from someone else.
25. Does your character go to school?
He's a donkey on a farm, so nope.

He is actually pretty smart, but very naive. He is a genius when it comes to finding ways to be lazy, however at times it proves more work than just doing the task.

He did, but he was separated from his mom long ago when she was sold to another farm, and he was sold young. He hasn't seen his family for a long time, although he does have a skinny red neck cousin named Flap-Jack somewhere out in Arizona.

Yes. He was staved as a foal on the farm he was sold to. There is more but that will come in time.
31. What's the best time in your character's life?
Probably when he was bought by Samantha and her Grandfather to live on the Wildwood farm, and given lots of good food to eat.
32. If you could name 1 friend, which would you relate to your character?
Hopefully a lot of people in many ways will aspire to be like Waffles. He is a really good friend, who is happy with the way he is, although he is flawed just like anyone. He is relate-able which I think hopefully many people will identify with.

In the future of the series he might, but as of now he just has his close friends on the farm.

He is in an entire series pitch proposal as well as an entire storyboarded pilot episode which i plan to refine and get ready for pitching.

ONLY if he hasn't eaten in a while. But that is rare.

He can get lonely if no one pays attention to him or spends time with him.
40. What's your characters favorite animal?
Probably horses. I think he finds them magnificent.

Bees, being emaciated and starving again, wolves, herd dogs, having his gut pinched or scratched, by something on the farm. (He looks before he walks, since his gut is a bit lower to the ground)

Posted 14 years ago******Decided to upgrade all commissions to simple airbrush shading like the Big Horse Holiday Pic, as long as the characters are simple enough! Still just 30.00 for Single Characters, or 45 to 50 for two! Includes Snazzy Holiday Card looking background!******

Why can't people leave religion out of things?!
Posted 14 years agoI am not meaning this to offend anyone, so let me say that first. I know that some of you are christian and I have some very nice christian friends that are respectful and good people, and know how to shut up about it. I haven't had ANY problems like this in this community yet, so just want to say thank you for that. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, I am simply venting about some stupid crap I have had to endure time and again.
This is more referring to Christian zealots and something I JUST had to deal with today, which wasn't the first time.
Why, more than any other religion, must Christians feel the need to throw their beliefs in your face? They are cruel to gays, Jews, and just about anything outside their strange smelling little soap box.
Why does it seem that Christians are the ONLY people who feel the need to spout their beliefs in your face, especially the most unexpected, and inopportune times, like during a paypal business transaction? You would think some things are safe from religion, but no. I happened to find a crazy lady who used the notes of her invoice as her personal soapbox to teach me about Satan.. I'm glad she knows so much about him, because she will probably go visit him soon. It really is surprising to find out there are some REALLY crazy and horrible people out there.
I was simply trying to buy a stuffed Tyco Kitty Kitty Kitten for my little sister, that looked JUST like the one that was destroyed by a mean ex friend of my brother's when they were little. I have been searching for this same cat for years as a surprise gift for my sister, and now that her boyfriend broke up with her it seems like perfect timing that some lady FINALLY replied to my add on a lost toys forum.
Then it all seemed fine, but she emailed me and at first I thought not much of it, but it should have been a red flag when she asked me, "Are you a believer" I figured that maybe she just meant, "it was meant to be" that I had searched so long and she had the kitty, and she was JUST deciding to sell some things, etc. So I simply said, "Well I believe in god and am Jewish if that is what you mean."
Then she sent me next this entire BOOK long email about her life, and a TON of christian stuff thrown in as if to tell me that it was the right way to believe. OMG was I in for it.. I TRIED to read through almost all of it, but it was so long, and it was such a waste of my precious commission time, and a lot of it didn't make sense because she kept speaking in code, about some "Hobby" she had that ruined her life that she no longer has, etc. So I didn't know how to respond so I simply didn't. I had already told her that I would not be able to pay for the stuffed cat until this week, and she had told me that was fine. She decided to sent an invoice anyways, and told me to pay it when I could there was no rush. So I waited and then RIGHT before I was to get paid she canceled the invoice.
THEN I saw a forwarded message to me from a message she has sent someone else bad mouthing me about how I didn't respond to her long email, AND proving that she has gone onto my FB and stalked me and looked at a picture of my boyfriend and my brother and proceeded to say how I didnt' seem like a "real Person" ACTUALLY here is the exact message she wrote:
"This is what she responded to last night.
Note: She never replied to the testimony on the invoice last week when it was sent NOR
did she respond in any way to that long email explaining why I am who I am.
Just that she & her brother can pay the FULL amount.
Also it even occurred to me that this could even be her doofus boyfriend & brother USING
her and her sister's ID to SCAM. Like Brian Necker.
There was a photo of her bf and brother and she had wrote they were her 2 favorite people!
EVEN NINA said last night that the bf & brother looked crazy."
First of all Doofus? Really? What a stupid old and pathetic insult. What did they ever do to her? They had nothing to do with this. It is fine to say what you want to me, but once someone bad mouths my family they have crossed the line, and should prepare to face the full wrath of me.
I actually responded to this and went off on her about how rude she was, and how I was INDEED a real person and she has no right to bad mouth my family. Then she sent me another invoice to still buy the cat, but in the invoice notes were a bunch more stupid christian quotes, and garbage I don't care to read. SO, basically, I finished the transaction like this:
"You may cancel your invoice again. I have already reported you for bringing religious and abusive banter into a business transaction. Hopefully paypal will deal with you accordingly. I never did anything wrong to you, and you have proceeded to slander my family who have had NOTHING to do with our business dealings, as well as write nasty remarks to me. Say what you want to my face, but when you start speaking about people I love, you cross the line. I will never buy anything from you, and I will see to it that others know of your horrible rudeness, and that you are a horrible person to buy from. You had no business spouting your religious dogma at me, when all I wanted to do was buy a stuffed cat for my sister. It is also deeply inappropriate to use an invoice as your personal soapbox forum to spout even MORE bible versus. I don't care what you believe, it has nothing to do with me. You say you are a christian, but you behave as someone working for the devil, sitting atop your high horse and looking down on others. ESPECIALLY making fun of someone with a disability, like my brother. For shame. It's so nice that you believe in hell, because with behavior like that, you probably will go there. Have a nice sad life. I want nothing more to do with people like you."
I am seriously so sick of crap like this. I should not even have had to deal with such a stupid pathetic situation over a small stuffed cat I wanted to by for my sister, whose bf broke-up with her. People like Lynn Black make me sick. I am proud to be Jewish, but I don't go around telling everyone else that that is how they have to live, or what they should believe. Eventually everyone will die, and figure out one way or the other, just live with kindness, openness, forgiveness, and love in your heart and life will be fine. Anything else keep to yourself.
Good thing I am confident enough in myself to stand my ground. It is a fight us Jews will have to endure until the ends of time no doubt. Its not like this is a new struggle for us. Just helps to remind me of where I come from, and how much we have fought to be who we are. Guess we will always have to fight that battle.

I will only accept more holiday specials up until 2 weeks before Xmas for the remaining slots so that I will have time to complete them all for you for the holidays!
After I finish the que I have and the new holiday commissions, I will not be open again most likely until sometime in the spring.
I will be taking another class with Joe Murray (creator of Rocko's Modern Life and Camp Lazlo) in hopes of furthering my Waffles series pitch proposal, perhaps finishing an animatic, and getting more mentoring on having my own show. I will be VERY busy once this starts so I won't have much time for commissions. I am going to do my best to finish all commissions before Jan 14th, but if I can't I will try to work on them here and there along with my homework.

Sadz My craptop died :(
Posted 14 years agoWell today right when I got to work my unfaithful friend Craptop died. It won't turn on at all. My dad called the laptop guy and we THINK we can recover all the files which is my biggest hope because I have 3 art pieces I am working on on there, and a ton of important pictures. My dad proceeded to take my craptop friend apart, he took out its brains and gave me its Heart (the harddrive) to take to microcenter to hopefully get a case put on it so it can be transferred to a new laptop if I can get one. I have no idea how I will afford one right now. Sucks so bad. Things were turning around and now this.. UGH BUT there is some light at the end of this tunnel! My mate finally got a new job, and it is a manager position so he will be making much more than at this other job! HOPEFULLY that can help us pay our rent and get groceries once he starts getting paid and we can finally save more for his teeth to get fixed! Just bear with me though. I luckily have been doing most of my art on my desktop at home, but I was using my craptop to also work on things during my part time job, to hopefully get things done faster. ANYWAYS this JUST happened thought I'd update you all. Using the slow ass crappy old DELL desktop at work to type this. Sad face!!!

SICK
Posted 14 years agoUgh sucks soooo sooo bad. My mate got me sick, and so the two of us are sick together, wanting to die. My throat hurts, I have horrible sinus problems, I am sneezing and we are both coughing. And my eyes hurt. His head hurts, its just ugh all around. AND I have to work tomorrow and went to work sick today, and have to answer phones sounding all gross. It's awful. I drew a little sick sketch today of my sona, but I can't post it because of the stupid read only mode. First pic I've ever done full body of my 'sona in feral form, although she is sick face lol. I WAS going to use Waffles, but then I thought, "Waffles isn't sick, I am, maybe this would be a cute chance to draw my new 'sona while at work to take my mind off of hating the world and blowing my nose." lol. So, I guess as soon as I can post it, I will. It is by no means clean pristine artwork of the finished caliber, as I did it in like 20 minutes, but I think you will all enjoy it anyways. My mate and I have been watching stupid things on tv since I got home. We ACTUALLY tried to sit through the old school super mario super show, or whatever. I got through ONE episode and said, no fucking way I can't watch another. It is sooo much worse than I remember. My mate actually would have watched more hahah, but I just couldn't stomach it. I am surprised usually I am the BEST at watching horrible stupid child cartoons when I am sick, but that was was just beyond retarded even for me. I mean this is coming from the girl that ACTUALLY watched a stupid Barbi movie last time I was sick, AND like watched a TON of the stupid Land Before Time sequels lolz. The two of us have also been watching some silly kids anime called "Card Captors" Its also sort of dumb but good at the same time, and has quickly become a guilty pleasure for the both of us.. haha. Oh well, I just hope this sickness goes away soon, I can't afford to stay home form work and I am MISERABLE. I am going to take a leftover vicadin from my surgery and hopefully sleep through the night.
Commission status Update (Commissions CLOSED for time being)
Posted 14 years ago Hey all, just wanted to update you all on what's up. I would like to get through the commission que I have so far before I start taking on more, especially since some are series pics. We could still REALLY use the money, but I don't think it is fair to make you all wait TOO long for your art, so once I get down to perhaps one or two clients left I may open back up for my other slots.
In case you didn't know, my mate wound up actually getting fired from his job over the missing deposit that he had nothing to do with. Actually, they were all pretty sure that this other tech stole it, since they had issues with him in the past, AND he quit soon after it went missing, before the police started interviewing people. However, my mate was the one to close that night so he had to take responsibility, while the trash gets off scott free. We are going to be struggling a bit until he can find work, and I still am putting all of the proceeds I receive through commissions towards fixing his teeth, but now that he has lost his job, I am more worried than ever about how we will make up the rest. Thank you to ALL of you that have been so supportive, and who have participated in my fund raiser thus far.
I have also been having some wrist issues, possibly due to how hard I have been working, and I am finally seeing a specialized doctor about it on the 31st. HOPEFULLY it's nothing permanent or serious, but I have been very scared lately. Art is part of my soul and if it was ever taken away from me, I don't know how I would live. So, in the meantime I have been trying to take it easy, but still keep to a production schedule on all of your pieces, so that I can have them done and to you in a professional and timely manner. You have all paid, and are helping us out so much, so just know that I will keep the status list updated often, and move on down through the list.
Since you have all commissioned me for varying styles and levels of complexity, as I work on a bunch simultaneously doing preliminary sketches and such, I MAY move on to a simpler commission that I can churn out faster to narrow the list down more. Things like sketch commissions that don't need to be carried to completion will possibly be moved slightly ahead of full blown painted scenes etc. Just so I can keep my gallery updated, and keep chugging along! Not much considering sugar makes me kind of sick, and I always thought those tasted like disappointment. I mean if they actually had some sort of AWESOME icecream inside I'd be like FUCK YEA! But no it's mediocre vanilla, and boring milk chocolate.
2) Would you consider Bugs Bunny a furry?
Not really, more just an anthropomorphic character.

I think sadly cartoons have really gone down hill. Most are shipped to people oversees to be churned out for cheap which also cheapens the art, and the life of the cartoons. I am sick of all the flash animation and miss the days of traditional smooth living characters. I love to animated but sadly can't do it all alone either. Nowadays people just want to make money and don't care as much about story, and aesthetics. I hope to change that someday.

Posted 14 years agoJust got back from dinner at my Uncle's with family and my boyfriend. For us Jews Rosh Hashana is the beginning of the new year. I truly hope this year brings good health happiness, good fortune, love and wonderful memories for my loved ones, me, and all of you awesome people that watch me :) This past couple of weeks have really been trying and really have tested my character, and my passions. I lost loved ones, and have had a lot on my plate to try and sort out. I am grateful for all the support I have been given and all the friends I have made. We are considering a new little baby kitten to carry on where Spike left off, although we know it will never be Spike, we believe the new baby will be a joy and wonder all in itself. I will keep you guys updated on how things go.
I have also been suffering from severe pain the bottom of my palm and wrist that a few people believe to be carpel tunnel. I really hope its nothing serious as I have so much art to do and this is just seriously the last thing I need right now. My boyfriend bought me a brace, and I will hopefully see the doctor soon. I am still working on my commissions through the pain, but with the holidays I will be a bit tied up. Hopefully I will get back to livestreaming and back on a regular production schedule soon. I am almost done with the commission at the top of the list, so there will be new submissions to the gallery soon as well!

Hardest Descision of my life...
Posted 14 years agoMy mate and I had to make the hardest decision of our lives today, and it was actually one of the first times I REALLY saw my mate cry. We had to say goodbye to the largest member of our family today, my cat Spike. He had severe bladder disease and it hit him fast. We would have had to spend 3,000 dollars for two surgeries that may or may not work for a period of time with other complications in his future. He was only 5 years old, but in those short 5 years, he managed to touch the hearts of MANY MANY people. He had a small not really used blog as well as his own FB page, and everyone that had met him in his life loved him dearly. He was the world's most tolerant cat, and had a very funny sense of humor, as well as was very vocal. He had a permanent mush grumple face, even when he was happy, that no one could resist. Spike will be surely missed, and it will take me a LONG time to get over the loss of my best friend. He always sat on the back of my chair as I did my art, and things just won't be the same. Our other cat Desmond will miss him dearly as well. My mate and I are going to bury him on the farm where I grew up that is still owned by my family tonight. This truly has been the worst week of my life.. What a befitting end to it.

Things need to get Better SERIOUSLY?? Why this now?!
Posted 14 years agoOk, so not only am I pushing and trying to raise money for my boyfriends/mate's teeth in the next two weeks of over 6,000.00 but we just got back from the emergency vet at 2am because my cat seemed sick and I could tell something was wrong. Had we not brought him in when we did he could have died. It turns out that Spike, my companion and best friend who sleeps on a pillow on my night stand every night to be near me has a urinary blockage that was seriously bad. He had a defecation accident on our bed tonight and had he not done that me and my mate would have gone to bed and not thought anything of anything. I know my cat and knew something was wrong. It also was obvious with the strange primal growling he would do as he just lied on his side. But that didn't happen until later tonight, so we had no idea. It all happened so fast. It is going ot cost ANOTHER thousand dollars including all the tests, the drugs, the catheter and overnight stay. I believe he has to be there two days.. So I just don't know how my life can REALLY get any more stressful right now. You do what you have to for the ones you love, but I just REALLY wish that I could be cut a break every now and then.
Anyways my commissions are still open and in DIRE need of promotion. I am currently working on the ones that have been paid and will be working ferverishly on them all week. Emergency! New Development in Mate's Teeth Fundraiser!
Posted 14 years agoWell one of my biggest fears and worries has come to light today. I brought lunch to my mate today, like I do every Saturday, and we both heard the most awful sickening sound that NO one ever wants to hear. We heard a loud snap and realized as he quickly paniced knowing what that sound meant, and spit out the remainder of the taco that was in his mouth and sifted through he found one of his front teeth. He now had a large gaping hole in the front of his face making him look like some crazy red neck from a corn field. What's WORSE is it happened right in front of his manager and one of the techs in the back. He was humiliated. He left work with me, and we quickly emergency dialed our dentist who happened to be out of town on a trip. LUCKILY we caught his partner who has also done some work for my mate in the past, right before HE was to catch a flight. Since we still had the chunk of tooth and cap, he did a makeshift bondo job on my mate's mouth so that he didn't look scary since we are supposed to also be leaving to go out of town tomorrow for two days for him to meet a very close friend of mine that I haven't seen in 10 years and has never met my mate. Great first impression right? "Hey thar! Nice to meet 'cha! Wanna go gets ourselves a squirrel to eat?" lol yea... He would be so embarrassed and wouldn't have even opened his mouth.
Anyways, they really want to get him in by next week since he said the slightest bump can knock that tooth out again. They ideally want to do all six of his top caps at once so they will be matching color and size, so I was completely right in my estimate of 6,000. He still needs root canals and caps on the bottoms but those aren't as in your face, and can wait and be done separate from his top teeth that you really see when he smiles. We have no insurance and his credit is shot from buying the temporaries three years ago and then losing his job and not being able to pay off the care credit. He is working now, but barely makes anything, but uses his paycheck to pay for our rent and food, so it is REALLY up to me to help him!
I am currently 560/6000 all thanks to the wonderful people here on FA, but PLEASE PLEASE spread the word scrounge if you can! I will work hard and do awesome art for you just to help my mate be able to smile. I REALLY have to raise this money so please if you can't commission pimp this and the link to my commissions if you can! When the movie first came out they only released a small plush of Shenzi with a plastic head which I have. Then years later the 3 small bean bags came out which my mom got me when I got sent away to boarding school. Now for the anniversary release they have FINALLY come out with actual plush of the Hyenas. They have been 3 of my all time favorite characters! Stress Galore
Posted 14 years ago I don't know why it is but my mate really seems to have the worst luck of anyone i know in the world... I am so stressed right now. We are supposed to be leaving on Sunday for two days to see a friend I have not seen in 10 years for his and my other friend's wedding together. Then it turns out that a deposit is missing from his work, and they don't know who took it and guess who happened to be one of the last persons to deal with it? Yup, my mate. He would never take anything or do such a thing, but now he has to deal with all this crap and be suspect and it would look even worse if he were to leave supposedly even though he had scheduled this time off months ago. Bad things always seem to follow him.. but I am hoping some good luck comes soon and breaks the cycle. I am just so stressed beyond comprehension. I am terrified of him losing his job even though he barely makes ends meet as it is, and I am struggling to make money to help with his teeth and other odds and ends to survive. This just couldn't come at a worse time.. I keep trying to make commissions which has helped tremendously, but I just don't know what I will do if he loses his job.. Need Commissions!! Also Cat Updatedness
Posted 14 years agoWhy is it that for someone just to look at your pet it costs like hundreds of dollars?? MY GOD. Anyways the good news is my cat Desmond's eyes look pretty good, nothing wrong with the actual corneas. They did this eye exam for him today, and put on this strange goopy stuff in his eye that also came out his nose a bit, and glowed all neon green with a black light. It was really trippy and awesome! I told my cat he should go to raves. He didn't think it was too funny though.. haha He was very well behaved for all the crap they were doing to check out his eyes. He has had this strange running red stuff coming out of his eyes but more prominently in his left one and its been so bad he started to lose his fur near nose. They believe he may have Feline Herpes which supposedly is common in most cats, and can lay dormant with no symptoms or can have flare ups. They aren't for certain that that is what it is so I have to squeeze a strip of this gross looking eye stuff into each of his eyes twice a day now. ANYWAYS all this isn't cheap, rent is due soon again like it is every month and It's so hard to make ends meet. I still want to raise the goal of 6,000 for my mate's teeth, but I also have to focus on more immediate priorities like not getting evicted and having food on the table.
I am still open for commissions at a variety of prices and styles, so PLEASE consider giving me a job. It will be done efficiently, professionally, and in a timely manner! At the moment I have a ton of slots open and no waiting list so you will be made a top priority! I am also still taking 3 slots for wire sculptures which are very unique and could be a nice gift for someone special. or something cool for you to have on a shelf or desk! I just can't catch a break!
Posted 14 years agoSo, I am struggling hard financially and still trying to raise money to finally help my mate fix his teeth, while he struggles to help us stay afloat with bills. Now on top of everything my cat Desmond has to go to the vet AGAIN. It's not enough that I had to spend around 2k 3 months ago for him to get over 6 tooth extractions because we found out he had bad dental disease. Now his eye has been leaking red/ brownish black goopy stuff for over a week, and no amount of wiping it makes it stop, so now I have to take him in for an eye exam that will cost another 80 or so dollars, not including the medication they will probably subscribe. I love my cats like family, but times have just been so hard, and I am also wanting to build up more for my portfolio to MAYBE get accepted into a more prestigious school, so I can finally fulfill my dream of being an animator. Anyways, I could REALLY use some more commissioners. I am not asking for handouts as I think that is just wrong since so many people in this economy are struggling as well, but I will work hard, and do quality work for those that commission me.

Posted 14 years agoCOMMISSION STATUS:CLOSED COMMISSION INFO: Commissions are first come first serve, you must pay up front in full, and I only accept paypal. (Paypal fee must be included, but it will show up as tax, so be sure to keep that in mind. It is estimated around 5.6%) Send me a note with what you want, and your email address and I will send you a personalized invoice with your commission info. You will have up to a week for me to receive payment or you will be bumped from the list. However, I won't start on your piece until it is payed. Posted 14 years agoI truly feel as though part of my soul were ripped out and eaten. I have been working for hours on a digital painting for a contest on DA along with my other commissions and projects, just to see something I've done, that I was really proud of and was a lot more detailed. Tonight when I got home from work the file was completely corrupted. Everything i have done is gone. It just comes up as a flattened black layer. I have cried a lot. It feels like someone died. It was sort of a scary fantasy picture, but no matter the content I was proud of it, and even my mate really liked it, and he is picky. He has surprisingly been very supportive through this, but I just feel heartbroken. Luckily there was some very crappy pixely film of it up on my livestream as I worked on some of it live. Unfortunately the quality was awful, and I had a lot more done on it that I did while at work the past couple of days, but at least I can piece together the few pixely crappy images screen grabbed from my livestream, and try to paint over it. I am pretty much going to have to do it from scratch, but at least now I still have some guidelines. I guess it could be worse to wear I would have NO proof or anything of my piece. I still feel really sad though. I can't stop obsessing and wanting to work on it to get it back to wear it was. Hopefully it will be even better this time around... I may livestream a commission tonight, or at least livestream as I doctor the shambles and remnants of my painting. It really depends though...
