Well I THINK I finally got this livestream thing figured out for the most part thanks to  sarcy! Thanks so much! So, I will probably be streaming for the first time throughout tomorrow and taking on some live commissions.

I recently took my cats to the vet after some problems and realized that my one cat at only 2 has dental disease. He had to have 5 teeth extractions, and my other cat who is ok, but we wanted to have preventive care, wound up needing an extraction as well. On top of that we used to have these disgusting people living above us who brought fleas into the complex, which my cats contracted even though they NEVER go outside. Now they have tape worms which needed 3 separate visits to get rid of. 1 down 2 to go still for that. These cats are my family and I am pretty much in the hole now having to pay for them. Well Saturday was my birthday and it was really fun! My dad took me and my mate to go see "Water for Elephants" It is AMAZING but just warning all of you animal fans that there are some really upsetting scenes in it. I cried pretty bad hahahaha. It was totally awesome though, and I would see it again. My boyfriend surprised me with this beautiful star of David necklace that he sneakily bought me in a Judaica shop on our vacation. I also got a brand new Blue ray player from my father, and I am SOOOO happy! I have been using a really old dvd player that barely worked for years haha. This one has the internet streaming stuff too, so my mate and I decided to finally get netflix! I'm really enjoying it, and watching it on the computer while I work, also makes staying awake so much easier.

We actually just got back from MA a week ago. We were there for one week for passover and to see the family. It was a really nice trip, and I got to do everything on my list of things to do. However, there were some setbacks, and things to deal with coming home, like my entire trunk smelling like cat piss because my mom needs to deal with her cat. That sucked, but I was still happy to see everyone.

On another note I am exhausted I haven't gone to bed yet again. Still pushing hard to get this proposal done. I am a week behind because of taking that trip, but even so I STILL don't know if it will be in on time. I will probably not sleep much the rest of the week. I will have a few more awesome things to show you guys though. A lot is staying confidential, but I may show a couple elements. Anyways, its 10am so I think I will try to sleep for a couple of hours, and then wake myself up to work some more.

I find it so interesting that sometimes being a good friend just isn't enough for some people. I finally feel finished though, because at least there are no more questions in my mind that these, so called friends I had for over 5 years are just horrible people, and I am done trying to work things out. I am not trying to be one of those wah wah drama makers that so many furries love to be on here in their journals, I am simply sharing with my actual friends what is going on in my life, and getting out some thoughts on the matter.

As some of you may know  dreamkeepers and I went to college together, and for years my mate and I were inseparable from them. We would have thanksgivings together, spend other holidays together, birthdays, we treated them like family, and would help them out at the drop of a hat. I was always supportive of their art and what they wanted to do, and bought every graphic novel they came out with because I like their art, but more than that, I wanted to be a supportive friend.

It's strange for me to speak about this on this forum because they have their legions of fans while I haven't done much on this site yet, and haven't posted that much to really network in this community that much yet.

Anyways, as I'm sure some of you know I had a very serious surgery last July. Both of  dreamkeepers came to the hospital and I was so happy to see them. Their car broke down and my mate spent hours to try to help them fix it since he is a car guy and wanted them not to have to spend too much money, especially since they came to see me. If only I had known that this would just be a spiral excuse for craziness. When I was brought home, I spend some girl time with Liz, while my mate still tried to help Dave. I was high on vicadin but my mother was there, and she remembers as well, how much I told Liz that she was such a good friend, and how I felt about them. A week passes and we don't hear anything. I find out that my mate was a bit peeved that they had not come back to visit again. I told him not to worry as I was sure they were just busy and everything was fine. Little did I know that was far from the truth.

We wound up getting a long letter on facebook (which is more than other people they have done this to have ever gotten, so we were "Special") wow I mean we should be so honored to be unfriended on facebook instead of just ignored. Anyways, they went on together to tell us how I was trying to undermine their dreams, and get them to stop making dreamkeepers (pure insane egotistical craziness). They also went on to say that my mate trying to fix their car so bad, was "controlling." They also brought up the fact that we were trying to control their wardrobe when we spent hours trying to find really nice gifts for them on a trip to MA that we took, and bought Dave an antique fedora from an antique clothing store. Then basically at the end they just told us they didn't want to be our friends anymore, and blocked us on here, and every other forum they could, so we couldn't respond.

To me it was shocking and heartbreaking especially because when this was all done I couldn't even leave the house. I spoke to my mother who was there when they visited as well as some other people, and to everyone it just seemed like some sort of misunderstanding. This hurt as well because I always made it clear to them to please speak with me if ever there was a problem, because I will always work it out. That is just the kind of person I am. I tried calling them, and my mate tried to write them a letter as well, they just blocked us more.

They live in the same apartment complex as us still, so we unfortunately still see them around a lot. It has been almost a year so I decided enough time has passed to try one more time to make up, reconcile and perhaps be friends again. This time I actually got a response, and was told "never to try to contact them in any manner again."

What kind of awful people treat someone that has been nothing but loyal, and there for them, that way? I have just come to the conclusion that they are just crazy horrible people, and I deserve better in my life. I am going places, and know I will be very successful someday. If they don't want to take that ride with me, that is there loss, and from now on I will have that attitude towards everyone. I am loyal, and will be a good friend to the end, but I don't deserve to be treated that way. No one does. Artists should stick together, to network and help each other succeed in a world full of executives, art thieves, and people that want to cheapen your craft. Speaking with Joe Murray I have learned a lot, and he views things the same way. Gossip and drama are frowned upon, and everyone really needs to try and just help each other out to succeed. That is all I ever wanted to do. I critique and give help and advice and am always open to the same, because I believe it makes me a better artist.

So, at least now I know. With the silence there were all these questions in my mind, of maybe if I could just talk to them, and let them know how i felt that they would see that it was all a mistake, and we could be friends again. That is not the case it seems. They are just bad people that only care about themselves and their work, and each other. I don't believe they truly know how to be a good friend, and that just isn't my problem anymore. I have made plenty of new friends, that care about me, and I have always enjoyed talking to everyone on here, so thank you for that, and for looking at my art! Sorry for such a long journal, but I needed to get that out and let it go, to move on.



*update: On another note, my proposal is coming along. I have a bunch of episode premises that MAY or may not be disclosed at a later date, and I am working on my show logo, cover page, and my backgrounds. Joe Murray is very impressed with my work, and has been very supportive. I truly believe that if I get this finished to my standards and begin to present this, that some network will be interested, and hopefully you will all get to see Waffles and his friends in your own home!

Well today I had my conference with Joe Murray regarding my finished storyboard! I got a LOT of great feedback. He said the drawings were beautiful, and he was really pleased I got it in on time. I was one of about 4 who did haha. He said that deadlines are VERY important when it comes to production, so he is giving me some great reviews on my evaluation etc. I have now started the second part of my class with him, and he is now going to be helping us package and ready our stories, for pitching to different companies! I am so excited. I feel a lot more confident about Waffles, and the overall series premise. Right now I am trying to narrow down to an eye catching brief synopsis of the overall series, to try and hook the executives. There were a few small notes on some little jump cuts he wants me to fix, but overall he thinks that the storyboard is pretty good for pitching as is! I am shocked. I was happy with my work, but of course an artist is always his or her own worst critic. I have a few more sneak peak boards to share with you all, but then you'll just have to wait, in hopes that it becomes a series with me!

On another note, I am working on some different anthropamorphic characters, and a fursona to broaden my gallery on here, and how you guys what else I like to draw, and am good at drawing :) I am currently working on a cool Doberman character, that I sort of revamped from childhood. He is actually based on a stuffed animal that I used to play with, and came up with a whole personality for, so now he gets to live and breathe again. I hope you enjoy what's yet to come, and perhaps I'll get some more varieties of viewers on here too, now that I will be broadening my art subjects.

Well after two weeks of working ridiculously hard, and half of those nights being full all nighters staying up until noon the next day, I finished my storyboard for my Joe Murray class, and just emailed it to him. I will post a few sneak peaks of it without giving away the entire story short, that I think you will all enjoy! I am really proud of them, and will most likely be doing an animatic of it too. I won't show you guys the entire thing, because this may be what I want to use for pitching a pilot. However, I will show you guys a few of my favorite little storyboard panels. So, do any of you remember the very awesome show, "Rocko's Modern Life" ? It was one of my favorites as a kid and along with Cow and Chicken, and a few others one of my biggest inspirations as a kid. I had been feeling in a rut lately, and as if I had run out of time to get a great job, and make my dreams of having my own show a reality. I am now a college graduate, and after being out of school, so much real life stuff has happened, that I had very little time for my art. Then when I DID get time for my art, I had been out of it for so long, I truly felt rusty, and like I didn't know where to start now. Luckily my awesome friend  wingedweasel has had some free time, and together we have both been getting out of the cycle of the cooperate world and starting to do some fun art. Hopefully you guys will get to see the little flash the two of us are working on in the near future. SO MUCH ANIMATION!!

Anyways, back to the point. Rocko's Modern Life came on T.V. late one night and I instantly felt that desire and feeling of bringing my characters to life, and giving them their time in the sun again. I decided to research the creator of the show, and to my disbelief found out that he is offering an online masters class all on the process of creating your own cartoon, and getting it ready to be pitched! It was already booked for this next quarter, but I applied anyways, and sent my work samples. To my disbelief he actually contacted me, and told me that since I want to sign up for both his II and III class and some other girl hasn't yet payed or decided if she is able to do it this January, I'm in!! I will be getting personal one on one coaching for two classes via Skype or something, with a very prestigious and amazing director/creator of two amazing cartoon shows!! I really hope this leads to something good, but if anything at least I'll get some feedback on Waffles and the gang, and hopefully bring them a step further, to achieving my dream for them!

Well I am now officially 25! woopie! I can rent a car! Somehow.. I'm not that excited... hahaha 21 seemed much better. Anyways, My dad is taking me and my boyfriend to see How to Train your Dragon in 3d YAY! I can FINALLY see it! I have been wanting to see that for 2 years, since I first heard about it. Money has been a bit tight and we just haven't been going out as much, but I am so excited! Then we are going to a hibachi house for dinner, I LOVE those! It's nice to get to do something fun for me for a change.

These past two weeks have sucked otherwise. Well not all of it has sucked, I've had some laughs, and learned more on how to just make the most of things.

Well, I can't believe it... I'm going to be 25! ugh five years away from 30! Time goes really fast!
