Greetings to all my watchers and watchettes out there! It's high time I made this announcement, since I've been giving it a lot of thought. 2017 marks the 10 year anniversary of m Shuigetsu account. I created this thing back in the middle of high school after giving FA a fresh start and let me tell you, it has been one hell of a fucking ride. You guys can see firsthand what 10 years of improvement can really do, and also just how inconsistent my style has been, haha. From all of the ups and downs and side-to-sides I've been sticking with this profile for a long time despite the fact that, well.... I'm kind of getting tired of it.

No no, this isn't going to be a long "Goodbye FA forever" journal or something like that, but I feel like I need to address some things about it. First off, the name of the account. Shuigetsu. Is it that "Shui gets you" or he's cosplaying as some dude from Naruto, I dunno but it irritates me. Always had. And since FA isn't going to let me rename the account I've been keeping it up for the longest time in hopes that people would kind of just ignore it. But nah, people seem to think my character's name is Shuigetsu. It's lame and it stinks,

But other than that, there is a more serious reason why I feel like I need a change of profile. You see, there's one prevailing subject that has gotten me attention in the fandom in the art and well, if you're following my account you probably know what it is already. This really isn't a question of if I really like paws or not, but I want to give new watchers the opportunity of enjoying the style of work without feeling alienated by a pure fetishy nature of the subject. Basically, I'm kind of growing out of being a fetish artist. Feet and paws and all of that will always be something I enjoy and I wont stop drawing it, but I'll be making it less and less of the focal point of my work. I'm a very vanilla person in real life, kinks and stuff really don't get me going, so I want my art to reflect that, but I feel my watch base has come to expect more and more of that.

I hope you guys don't feel alienated or abandoned, but this is just a new start I feel I desperately need as an artist. That being said go and give  lazertooth a watch. It's empty now but it'll soon be full of wonderful things. Hope you guys enjoy the new stuff!

FOR THE FIRST TIME IN AGES

This was kind of a strange one for me since I didn't have a giant group of roommates to follow around, so I kinda had to make my own fun most of the time. That and I got a flu-type bug that I'm still fighting at this very moment. BUT, despite all that, I met some awesome new people and hung out with some cool old pals, and I really enjoyed the theme this year!

Like I said, I'm not leaving FA, but it seems like a great new startup site with a convenient and (most importantly) modern feel to it.

Also, sorry for the lack of art. I was hit with massive amounts of work and haven't done much in the past month or so. But, I do have something nice on the way!

Hey all you people, it's ya sabertoof here just giving you an update on things. Pretty recently, money has been a little tight and well, I've been working extra hard at my job to get more stuff saved up again! This was my own doing, spending money on a bunch of shit I probably didn't need and making some pretty weird decisions which set me back.

Does this mean I'll be taking commissions?
Possibly. We'll see! I haven't been feeling motivated to draw art for other people in a little bit, so I'm sorry if you're someone I know who has been waiting a really long time to get some art from me. When I'm ready to announce commissions, I will do it on here and on my Tumblr, since there's a few people I know on there who've been asking. There have actually been quite a few of you guys asking and I can't keep up with all of you, so I'm gonna announce it on a first-come-first-serve basis. Watch out for YCH's too!

Okay Shubert, so what will we expect from you?
I'm working on a couple pictures, and a few of them I haven't posted yet. I'm busy refining my technique and junk and still getting used to the Surface Pro 4 for drawin and art. I'm really digging this platform for art! I might even put up a couple YCH's (which I know people LOOOOOOVE) so watch out for those and bid hastily! I find those easier to do since people already know what they're getting and I don't have to interpret vague details.

Still making moving plans and also looking into college again (fina-fucking-ly). I'll be asking for some advice and examples so I do this right. I'll most likely be doing school online and something art related. Seeing a lot of beautiful animated movies as of late has really made me want to pursue a career in that instead of a retail/sales job for the rest of my life. It's never too late to get an education! :D

I'm also not gonna be putting so much emphasis on being single and dating and shit, since I should take the opportunity to use this free time to my advantage. Work out more, draw more, do schooling online, all that stuff. I'm gonna try this new philosophy where if I want something I'm just gonna work toward doing it and not have any second thoughts about it. So, yeh.

So what about them moving plans, hmm?
Still in the works! I'm putting it on hold a little and also rethinking what options I have here instead of putting my eggs in one basket and moving away somewhere (as much as I'd love that). That's still a bit undecided.

Hello hello hello people and cuties, I figured it was time for a brief update on the life of your favorite resident saberlion!

So I've was up in Orlando for the past week staying at  jazzwolf's house as part of an emergency trip to see my grandmother. She had pneumonia and the flu and wasn't looking too good, but miraculously might pull out of it! Talk about a scare and a "whoa".

As I was staying up in Orlando, I was getting a small taste of what it was like up there and, well, I really really feel in my heart that it's the perfect place for me to get moving to. The people are awesome, the rent is cheap, the parks are close, and I'm excited to get myself going in that bigass furry community up there!

So yeah, it's pretty much set that I want to move up there. If there's anyone looking to room there or split the rent with someone, LET ME KNOW. Send me a PM on FA so we can plan shit.

Oh, and I bought a surface pro. You can thank :userjazzwolf: for making me fall in love with them all over again. This stylus is super fucking legit and it can run all sorts of programs, so I'm in love with it <3

Times is rough and money is a little tight right now, so I'm going to be taking one full-color commission to draw. There are a couple of rules to this however:

1. Must have $50 onhand and a paypal
2. It will be a solo character picture
3. Nothing too complex, just a simple character in whatever pose you want
