Wanting to make him look similar to the heartbreak kid in my "Are you ready?" Pic i recently put up.
My main question is what would I need to look at to make him more like HBK? Or do any of you all out there know of a way to make me look like him?

Read a journal from one of my friends that the convention I always went to ... is gone. And then I read it from another person i follow. And then went to their facebook page and it was confirmed.
Furfright is no more.
I had some very fond memories of the convention.
It was my first furry convention ever, back in the hotel prior to the Crowne Plaza. I was told by two people to come and see what it was like.
tiltlongtail (who was guest of honor then) and 
coopertom told me to come and they were right. I had a blast and was sold from then on. Also was how I decided that I wanted to be a fursuiter as well. I got "Shuri" ordered soon after that convention.
It was a blast, and even one year won the "Attendee Guest of Honor" back in 2011, and then in 2012 one of my friends won the same award. And Belic said i had a "Cheating Ring." Much laughter was had in my hotel room that year.
This year i got to see someone I'd like to call a friend

I had a bit of fun there again this year. As i mentioned in a earlier journal, i got a new head and handpaws from

I am still kicking myself for not participating in the Masquerade this year, wanted to but things happened and couldn't. So grr... now i have to wait another year to get back on stage and attempt to entertain the crowd. Also the only other bad thing I suffered from the Con was the proverbial "ConCrud" attack. Even though I had the flu shot, here i am sick. My luck still holds good it seems.
Good points was seeing some of my friends from last year, considering this is the only time i can see them, its nice. Belic and K'Gra especially. Then we got a big surprise at closing ceremonies.
Jtigerclaw and 
katalina got engaged at the beginning of Closing ceremonies. So to you two. Its awesome you're engaged now, and soon will be married. CONGRATS!!!

Day two, furfright
General | Posted 12 years agoWell got to try out new head and paws with my full suit and I think i looked pretty cool. Did the fursuit parade. The wait was rather hot, i got there too early hehe. But did well on the new look. Saw some friends in the parade, like jtigerclaw which was cool. Only get to see alot of these furs at this time of the year. Didn't do the masquerade, kinda sad i didnt. Maybe next year...

General | Posted 12 years agoWell day one has been fun in many ways. I recieved my new head and handpaws from erisvalgen and they are awesome!!! I will be posting them soon as possible for you all to see. Tommorrow I will try to get good pics in full suit.

This Wolger Speaks Out on Recent Events

This is not supposed to be political, political correct or such. This is just me, speaking with my heart on my sleeve and wanting to get something off my chest. This is not to offend people in anyway. Again just me... speaking out.
We have just suffered a tragedy of national proportions, as events in Conn has shown us. The second largest school shooting outside of the events of Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Va. The victims were twenty children and seven adults. Students of an Elementary school and the faculty. Now I am not going to go into "gun laws" or such, but something else.
Twenty families lost their children. Sons and Daughters who will now be gone forever.. No more Christmas, Birthdays, et cetera. Seven other families lost a sister, wife, daughter, brother, husband or son. Many families in the Connecticut area are shattered.
Maybe I feel this way cause my father is a school teacher (40yrs) and so is my step-mother. But in my heart i want to know if there is something we as a fandom / family for these people. What I don't know, but I would like to know if we could help! As a Fursuiter or not. Just something!
I would ask any Connecticut fur if there is a way to help, could you find out - I'll drive the ten hours up there if it would help ...

Something Funny for you guys
General | Posted 13 years agoThis is a true story, nothing in this journal is made up. This is how weird the real world is.
I was at work at my store, a grocery chain - not mentioning name. And was busy at work. When a bagger came up to me and said "Hey (head customer service person) needs you outside." I thought something was really wrong here. So after a moments pause i head outside. I run into the Head CSA person and she asked me, pointing to the parking lot, "Is that your car?" I look up and sure enough she is pointing at my little prius. I walk up there wondering why is she asking me this and see there is a car that has run into the rear of my car. The Assistant Store manager is out there as well. I walk around and there is little damage (popped fender piece) on my car, their car... well its been dinged up so much you couldn't tell. But then I noticed the car's engine was still running... with the window down!
Doing the right thing we paged the owner of a (insert color and make of car here) to come up to the Customer Service desk several times, and while waiting i called the police dept. The police dept showed up before the people did by MANY minutes. They came out carrying 12pk of beer and other things.
So the officer got our info and such, and wrote out his report. Here's what some of what he wrote. "Driver left (insert car) running, out of gear, no parking brake set and on a downhill slope. Vehicle rolled forward and struck the parked Prius in the rear."
Now, for more laughs, imagine explaining this to your insurance company...
"Was there anyone hurt in the accident?"
"No Ma'am, no one was in either car."
"Excuse me?"
"Yes ma'am, i was inside working and they were inside gathering groceries.."
I just wished I could've seen her face as i was explaining that. We both got a laugh at it.

FurFright Wrap-up
General | Posted 13 years agoWell start off, the convention was great as always, had fun seeing some of my friends again that i can't see at all during the year. Had some interesting times and will go down that list here :) (forgive spelling mistakes)
1) Attendee Guest-of-honor: Last year I won this prestigious award, this year my friend
aurilyn won this award. It was her second or third time she's been to a furcon so she was excited. Belic "accused" me of cheating. Silly bear :)
2) The arrival of the "Legendary" ... The One, the Only... the eternally lonely (cause its lonely at the top) Oki Doki Coyote!
Okidoki was one of the people that i turned to for Furry stuff. Advice, questions, comments, puns and prank ideas on one ... Calamity Cougar. He's been a friend of mine since 2008. It was great to finally see him for the first time. Got to see erisvalgen, 
Fionnadh, and 
askari there, was a lot of laughs and pictures. ... Oki, when you see this i want copies of some of those pics she took :)
3) Watched the "Red Bandits" win the fursuit massacre this year. Went down to the final round of "musical chairs" to determine the winner. And the team stayed together and did well in the games. Finally coming down to Nbowla (spelling his name wrong I know!) and JTigerclaw. insuring the red teams win over the title, and JT won the last chair. Was awesome to see him win!
4) Fursuit Masquerade: I didn't participate this year and ... kinda wished that I did. But there was several amazing acts this year. Waiting for the CD for JT, Twitch and company's band, ... sleep dep is killing memory of the name. There also was a dance troupe that won the contest, They did an amazing job. I do hope that we can see more of them in the future!
5) Costume contest: Instead of "Franken-fursuit" event this year, there was a costume contest. Couldn't get mine to work, but will try harder for next year. But there was some amazing costumes, and felt good that the people that dressed up for the con got some recognition. Again memory loss robs me of the winners, but some good ones up there. I liked the costumer that did the "Bane" character from the newest Batman movie, he did a very good job!
6) Fursuit Dance Competition: There was an official Fursuit dance competition this year, got to see some amazing dancers. Got to see a friend of mine
Sadariuswolf win the big prize. Congrats dude! You earned it!! I would like to dance some, but this wolger has two left paws. Judges for the competition was JDPuppy, KwiK, Dex and one other (can't remember his name) an excellent panel for people to be judged by. Some of the great fursuit dancers.
7) Hurricane Sandy: This girl was playing a major role in a lot of our lives this year. She sauntered up the coast line and the forecasters telling us how strange she was going to be, and how dangerous. Me and my mate realized Saturday that we are driving through her projected path. So we left Early Sunday afternoon and began the long drive back home. Thankfully the weather wasn't too bad ... though have to admit. Drove 10hrs straight with only one stop for food and another for gas, ... this wolger was beat.

Well have now been married for a month now. I've not been killed yet so everything is going great. Lately have had some friends and family begging us for our wedding photos which is a rather fun event to plan. As my computer is the only one that can burn a disk. M'wife's is a BIT older model and can only read them.
But for our wedding as little place markers and souvenirs, we made little Magic: the Gathering style cards for everyone. And did some for other people as well. But when OkiDoki posted the playful card i sent him with his selection of wedding pictures: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/812...../#cid:56509503 someone made a suggestion i do stuff like this for commissions.
Would that be something that some of you would want? Your own face (or fursona) emblazoned upon a Magic the Gathering style card? I'm open to suggestions as we're constantly looking for new ideas and such to get my "Studio" name out there and such. Now i'm not taking commissions for it yet, but would want to definitely know who'd be interested in such a thing. Would definitely be a unique con badge and rather nerdy one too if you think about it haha.

The 4 F Tourney continues

Tomorrow (23-24 of may) I go against a popular (or least more popular than me) fursuit Dershep of the team Lav 'n Der. I know i may get kicked here, but would like to have all my watchers give me a vote so I can actually make it into qualifying.
Last time I was in the tourney 2yrs ago.. I never got this far. SO would like to say i at least qualified :)

I went into the first round already and barely knew it had begun.
My first Round was against "?" and won my round vs him. (Think its a guy.. correct me if i'm wrong "?", please) And now i look ahead and going into a battle versus. "Basil" on may 7-8. Thankfully now wikifur has posted schedules on who's going up for vote on certain days now. Will need everyone's vote to get me further in the tourney. Want to do better than my last appearance in this insanity :)
Also on April 30-May 1st, Please show love to "Diamond Chibi Dragon" by erisvalgen want to see her do awesome as well in this matchup
But for those out there that do vote in the FFFF, how do you get to. I thought I was able to, now i can't find it on any page i can get to. (sigh) Help a wolger here?

Wow some of these are hard... I'd have to say the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Cause as an artist i saw so much beauty in it and good storyline. Ultraviolet is another I like...Milla Jovovich is fun to watch and the gun-fu is great. League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. And Last .. and certainly not Least. Labyrinth with David Bowie. Love it.. think i got two or three copies of it here

Not sure on this one. Guess if i had to choose, it would be cheese. And yet i can eat pizza so its very very odd.

Would love to have Steak/Ribs/fries and southern sweet tea. But would hate to die.

We currently have a Prius (insert Dunham jokes here), and its funny to have since our fursona's are hybrids as well.
Wish I could drive? Lamborghini or high end exotics, just to say I have done it. Wish I could have.... A corvette. I drove one once, was totally amazing and they're so well built

Friday:
We attended the opening ceremonies and I was going to just hang around stage in suit and be all cute and all, and came time for the "Attendee Guest of Honor" award or such and out came, gosh i forgot who, and handed a box to Belic, He then read "Buddy" and so i was going "oh well, least it went to a good fur" ... then Buddy said "I don't deserve to be Attendee Guest of honor" so they went back into the box (which was the gag one) and tossed it around until another JD came up with the real attendee box. Belic reached in and pulled out a name and he said "Oh I know this fur" And again was going "oh well..." then he said a moment Later "Shuri" I was stunned as yes, I was announced the Attendee Guest of Honor. And thus I was sat in front of all those at opening ceremonies to answer his "James Lipton" questionare. Thus started a wild Friday for me, right after OC, I had to run to the dealers room to get info and such for Artist Alley, so there I am sitting in the AA in suit (mostly) and actually got commissioned (Yay a first for me) then off for a panel with KwiK and JDPuppy .. Watched them teach the "Thriller" dance. Was amazing to watch the whole thing. after that, ran back to the room to change and get out of suit and goto the Dealer/supersponsor dinner. The Food there was awesome.
Saturday
i got up, suited up as what i'd be wearing in the Masquerade, and practiced my Skit up there with JTigerclaw. Ozzy Ozborne's "Let me hear you Scream" Went well, didn't during the main performance, hehe, oh well "Welcome to FurFright" ... but there was concern when I was told by the act before me that i'd have to bring the crowd back up. Which i was worried about but halfway through the song I got the crowd to yell during the song and it felt good to have the crowd there.
Also got to help JD lead the Fursuit parade, which was awesome this year, got to walk outside in the nice cold breeze. Wonderful for us fursuiters
Sunday
Got up and went down to make the attempt to play the Fursuit Games. Which was rather interesting, save for having to put on a dress and sunhat to go driving around the track on a razer scooter thingie. The other games were fun as well, almost busted my tailbone on the Musical chairs game as I missed my seat and hit the floor (almost an injury tony) but got up and walked it off. Over all we got Second place which was alot of fun.
Only sad thing was the Closing Cerimonies, where we knew the con was over and we'd have to come back home.
But Thanks to all the Staff of Furfright (Belic, Wags, K'Gra, Skippy... all of you) for making this a fun convention as always. And to all the people that said "Hi Shuri" or "Congratulations" ... it was awesome, and to all the suiters i got to meet and hang out with. Nekomon, JDPuppy, all of you guys rocked. I had the best time ever this year.

Yet another art question for my watchers
General | Posted 14 years agoRecently, and I'm well aware i'm late to this party, my love had suggested that i attempt to do "Steampunk" stuff. I admit to not knowing much about this 'fandom' at all. It was once explained by Ezra (or Kuddlepup) on FPS one sunday as Victorian Industrial, with all the copper and wires and such. My love said it was Victorian era, but with technology.
I was wondering if you all out there have experianced steampunk and could either give me ideas or references. Something to explain this idea more.
Also for those who watch the MLP show, i have a question for you as well. I keep hearing the term "Bronies" (I guess that is the term) How many shows to you watch before you are considered a "Bronie"? Just out of curiousity

General | Posted 14 years agoHave an interesting question that i'm noticing alot, and maybe its just me... but not sure.
Why is an artist that wants to draw 'clean' art kinda ignored? I've noticed that if you draw porn, even a little bit, you can get commissions and such for your art fairly quickly. And if you draw good and good porn, you get your own websites?
But if you draw clean art, portraits and the like, ... no one wants to see you or your work it seems. Am I seeing things oddly, or am I noticing the trend a lil late?
Would like to hear what you all think...

General | Posted 15 years agoMan, This month has not been pleasant for me or my love at all.
Earlier this month i reported that i caught the flu before valentines day... well here it is 15days later and still not gotten any better, in fact, i've gotten worse.
had to go to the docs again today to find out what in the world is going on and funny to see him look at me with a look of "WTF" on his face. Yup, i was confusing the doctor with my symptoms.
He took blood and urine sample from me so they could to more extensive tests, but he wasn't sure what i had. lets just say that I'm not doing too hot and now out of work for a full week to try and take new meds to break up what I got.
If you all get a chance, give a hug to Kailla My love, she has to put up with me coughing and all the other things i'm going through. She's been truely awesome and very loving. And she needs your cheers too, she's putting up with a very sick wolger.

Flu bug attack and questions

I have ran afoul of this years nasty lil flu bug/virus. It caught me friday the 11th and through out all this past week i've mainly been lying on my butt in bed, suffering through it. Drinking medicines that are foul in flavor and design. And wondering how in the name of all that is holy did I get the honor of testing out this new nature made, weapon of mass death and misery?
So slowly i've been crawling out from under the rocks that Mother Nature put me under, realizing that sunlight is a good thing occasionally. Warmer air moving into our area, making me not so cold and ... now March-like winds trying to blow my house down. Life just doesn't get much better than this does it guys?
I have begun wondering, "When did the Flu become so strong that now it takes a guy like me a week to recover when sometimes 24-48hrs was all that was needed?" Has it been because of our good 'friend' H1-N1? And its possible mutations?
Hopefully all of you out there are dodging this bullet, or least are more prepared for it than i was :)

So slowly i've been crawling out from under the rocks that Mother Nature put me under, realizing that sunlight is a good thing occasionally. Warmer air moving into our area, making me not so cold and ... now March-like winds trying to blow my house down. Life just doesn't get much better than this does it guys?
I have begun wondering, "When did the Flu become so strong that now it takes a guy like me a week to recover when sometimes 24-48hrs was all that was needed?" Has it been because of our good 'friend' H1-N1? And its possible mutations?
Hopefully all of you out there are dodging this bullet, or least are more prepared for it than i was :)
