Posted 7 years agoSorry I've been pretty quiet here lately. I'm mainly trying to whittle down a lot of my standing commission-list on Trello!
Once I have an appreciable set of past work completed, I'll go ahead and upload here! Just.. need to also reset a bit of my tools in SAI 2 as well. Some of them are acting funky recently.

Posted 7 years agoToday, an achievement has been met I never thought I'd actually have the honor of getting to, much less actually close to, NOR pass.
5,000+ watchers.
This is an achievement that I literally wouldn't have gotten had it not been for the constant support from everyone here, even in spite of my many ups and downs along the way.
The moving situation was one thing that helped me get to a better state of mind, but this is one thing that's been a long while coming, and honestly thought it would plateau FAR before reaching this..
THANK you all. Seriously. Here's to another few wonderful years with this awesome community. I'll try not to let y'all down too much after this.

5.00 - 7.50USD = Avatar (I can go CRAZY with detail on these~) Example: (Take a look at my profile pic!)
30USD = Sketch (I tend to go OCD on detail with these!)
40USD = Colored Sketch (Ditto with the detail, but with a decent amount of color!)
45USD = Inks! (Now with extra, VIVID detail! )
50USD = Flat colors and Inking (Just a step higher, now!)
60USD = Celshades (Two-toned coloring! Kinda like videogame-y / comic stuff!)
70USD = "The Whole Chimichanga" (Airbrush-quality detailing, shading, et cedera! Does NOT include a background, however.)
75 - 80USD = "The Whole Chimichanga" + Background (The whole shebang, but with a background! Price varies a few bucks, depending on complexity~)
DISCOUNT APPLICATIONS:
Using any of my characters automatically grants a $15-off discount.
Pricing works like this: Full Base-Price for one Character + 1/2 off for each additional character. Ex: For Celshade: 60 + 30 + (etc.)

New art desk has been acquired.. new bedroom. Lots more privacy, and hopefully the workings of a much more fruitful arting experience.

Posted 7 years agoWe finally have a place to move. It's been a long time coming, but we finally fucking did it.
Soonest we could move in is Friday. So.. we're pulling out all stops to pack NOW.
It's in a much better end of town.. I'll finally have some peace of mind to work.. as will my roommates be able to sleep comfortably together. This is the BEST news we've had in a long time.
And I'm HELLA fucking excited.

Posted 7 years agoI'm not exactly sure how to go about talking about this one, as it deviates heavily from my usual conversation relating to my art and commissions / convention-going and all; but..
Well.. I'm trying to get into dating. And while I know it might disappoint some people, I'm dating straight at the moment (despite what a bit of my art might have to say about my on-goings online.)
I'm not terribly sure how viable that would be even here on FA, or other places. I've tried looking into places like Pounced, but even THEY'RE gone now. And from several sources, apparently some other 'dating sites' are nothing more than bots and cash-grabs.
I've tried doing it IRL as well.. I'm not sure if it's just the nervousness of never being able to meet or connect with anyone in person yet or something, but I can't seem to find any luck in that means of dating, either.
That being said, I'd love to try with someone out there. Either comment here or pass along a note to me, perhaps?
..Or, if anyone has any useful advice, I'd be happy to at least.. take it into mind.

Based on the concern and feedback from people within this server and from several followers, I've closed off ALL instances of incoming commissions / trades / etc. for the foreseeable future. Beyond today, no more commissions or anything taken unless it is ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY necessary.
Commission Marathons, as I've been dubbing them lately, is moving from three commissions a day, to TWO commissions a day (if fullcolor.) Sketched commissions or colored sketch I'll try to set to three per Commission Marathon day.
Commissions during these Marathons will be done in the following manner:
2 from the current main / WIP list; +1 from the "To Be Done" list.
If I CANNOT get to a "To Be Done" commission during the time alloted for the day, it will be done or worked-on on the next Commission Marathon day.
Break-time will be increased to 30 minutes, rather than the paltry 5-10 minutes originally plot.
And NO work, WHATSOEVER, will be done during the 'off' day between each commission-dedicated day.
THis means NO trades, NO personal work, NO commissions. These are my days to take a break and not fuck up my hand.
If you CONTINUE to push during these days, I will ask, politely, to either wait out your turn, or ask for a refund.
Right now, health needs to be first on this. Without it, I can't do art for ANYONE.
It will take time, but I want to be done and dealt with my commission list before this year ends.

Posted 7 years agoAlrighty! I've been making progress in small strides on commissions again, and once again, I can finally see the bottom of the "WIP" List!
But, since now that I can see that once more, I need to start adding more from the "To Do" List into the "WIP" Queue as well.
It's been a slightly less bumpy ride, but I've been making it work! I further appreciate peoples' patience here, and will continue to work off the rest of this list in the coming days.
I've got a few WIPs I SHOULD at least have a public-post version of as well, doing them while doing off-time at Anthrohio this week! :)

Posted 7 years agoProbably still a bit young to be stating this, but it feels like time has been running by FAR too quickly lately.
There's been commissions I felt like I've been making good time on and completing fairly quickly, only to realize that, even just today, a couple of weeks or more has passed since last doing work on a piece.
I'm not sure if there's something legitimately wrong with my perception of time, or if.. maybe I'm slipping or something. Into bad habits.
...
Mm. I'll try to take note of my time spent working on commissions over the next couple of days, or perhaps a week.
I might need to start reallocating my time / scheduling, if need be.

Posted 7 years agoAlrighty. Working down the list still and accumulating some more art to post up on here. I'm also making a bulk upload to the alt-account today full of previously-posted stuff on this account, along with some alt-account-related items as well.

Onto the topic of the Journal header, I've been thinking and testing out a new scheduling / arting method for myself to avoid burnout and try to instill a 'work week' upon myself for commissions and all.
Monday -> Friday: Work on Commissions is guaranteed / required. Personal work or trades + collabs (unless commission-based) are placed by the wayside. As is gaming of any sort.
Saturday and Sunday: Mandatory days-off, or mental / physical recharge times, to keep from burnout both mentally and from wearing out my hands or straining my back too much. Commissions COULD be done here if I have nothing else to do.
Streaming: I will do this at commissioner's request. I usually work best on initial sketchwork off-stream, but I'm more than happy to provide a stream of the work I've got done so far / finish work on-stream promptly.
Wednesday Afternoons: At 8PM bi-weekly on Wednesdays, Battletech sessions are in play. No work done during this time, but after might work depending on how late it is. Time is in Eastern Standard Time.
