Wow it's really been a year since I've updated this huh
Posted 2 years agoAs you may know, almost two years ago my body gave out and I went homeless in the span of a month, but here I am now with things looking up:
Five moves later and all that time applying for jobs, and I'm finally employed... ...at a physically demanding overnight retail gig for far too little to afford a place of my own, but since I'm not under many financial obligations, I'm able to save a lot of it up and could start finally getting art again after so long. Don't worry about my knee, it still has chronic pain but keeping in motion is really helping it. Honestly most painful thing for me right now is driving for more than a couple hours at a time, especially with cruise control on.
I can't describe just how good commissioning art makes me feel inside, it's the most gender affirming thing I can do for myself right now, and while I do have a back catalogue that I still look at and appreciate, I can't wait to get something fresh and "revive" this page (even though I haven't really left, I've been active on Mastodon primarily, though nowadays with odd hours).
I've got something planned, but I've got to wait for the artist to go through their current queue. Though this means I can let my idea stew and write more down and make it even better!
In any case, I've still got a gazillion things from my old design's catalogue that, although I really love my current design, I still really really like to look at and will post them as I find out "wait, I haven't put this up". The link rot from the site formerly known as Twitter is probably turning a lot of my old comms into lost media now. If you know of something I've had in the past and I haven't posted it up, feel free to shoot me a note about it and I'll get around to it (and hopefully I routinely check here from now on).
Stay squeaky everybody! >:3c
(P.S. I am not liable for any sudden pooltoyification upon reading that closing signature)

I’m not paying to upload art at native resolution
Posted 3 years agoI don’t have the money to pay a subscription to literally everything I do, and I won’t put my art commissions here if it means making them look like an MS Paint JPEG due to horribly implemented pixel dimension restrictions (not everything is 16:9 so in reality uploads will be a lot worse than it looks).
Needless to say, if I’m ever in a position to get any more art and this change goes through, you won’t find it here.
It’s a shame because this site is the last somewhat usable gallery site on the internet that isn’t full of puritanical terms of service.
Twitter is a dumpster fire now too so as a reminder, here are all the places you can find me: https://seedy.xyz/about

Another Life Update
Posted 3 years agoIt's a bit of a long read, and I can't be arsed to copy it over here and format it properly, so here's the link to my blog post.
I highly encourage you read it, especially if you haven't noticed me leave Twitter

Imagination...
Posted 3 years agoA quick update before I get to the fun stuff: my leg is doing okay now, I'm living on campus and getting help to find a place to move into at the end of the semester with aid to help me get back on my feet. Things are finally calming down a bit...
...However no art for a while, but I'd like to extend an invitation for y'all to come up with some ideas of what you would imagine this funny airheaded shark would fit well in.
After all, daydreaming about it is how I cope with not having that body in meatspace, and letting others come up with creative ideas gives a bit of validation and also gets my wheels turning.
In this case, fanart is okay but no NSFW or kink (besides non suggestive pooltoy stuff) without asking first (but definitely don't force yourself, this is mainly a comment an idea thing and I might try drawing or commissioning it whenever I get money, but it'll be a while)
It's a magical shapeshifting nanite synth, anything is possible! Go wild! Or don't, I'm just trying to get some interaction here so it doesn't feel a bit dried out.
P.S. Look out for possibly posting short tidbits on Apto April prompts soon over on the seedy.xyz blog next month (I hope).

Life Update
Posted 3 years agoIn case you haven't heard from other channels, I'm being evicted from my home of nearly 12 years (out of no fault of my own, the landlord just decided to sell the place and only give me until the end of the month to find someplace to live)
I'll be couch surfing at a relatives' place while waiting for housing assistance, which isn't ideal, but the wait list is too long.
I'll be spending most of my time living in a dorm room on campus until the end of the semester when I'll hopefully graduate, assuming I can actually get back on track with my final project program after this whole thing started and my leg injury.
As such, I don't know when I'll be able to post anything here again, as I'm saving all my money to cover this emergency and will most likely not have enough time to draw anything myself.
Hopefully things turn out okay.

Profile Overhaul and Other Updates
Posted 4 years agoI decided I'd take posting here more seriously now that most of my other accounts elsewhere are private. So far, it's been far better for my mental health to keep things small online, but I miss being able to share artwork widely which is why I want to keep FA updated. Since this is art and art only, I can keep this more public without having people I'm not that comfortable with reading all my other more personal posts that I'd make elsewhere.
So, with that update out of the way, I have no real commissions or art ambitions in the near future. I may post more of my old stuff if I feel like it, but I've already posted most of the stuff from the old design that I like most. Nothing against the artists, it's just that now that I've gotten my absolutely amazing reference sheet, I just don't really vibe nearly as much with the older colors, especially with the common mistakes from working off the old reference (mainly the tail being a bit too narrow and fluke looking weird that I never really noticed until recently). But, this is a part of growing a character or fursona, all the changes that come while the core stays more or less the same. I've come a long way in the past 3 years and it's nice to reflect like this.
I hope you're all having a wonderful day.
PS: Feel free to leave some formatting tips, I was having trouble getting some of the BBCode working and I think that's due mostly to outdated documentation post-redesign and nuances I haven't learned.
