9 years
Posted 2 years agoHoly hell it’s been 9 years but I’m still alive and my passion for art has been rekindled. Let’s gooooo!
Learning.
Posted 11 years agoThis morning (It's 6am now...so...4am?) I started a drawing that I just posted. I have no idea what I was going to be drawing and I had no guides in front of me. I let my imagination run wild to see what I would come up with and I'm rather pleased at what I drew. I'm particularly proud of the head and parts of the wings but looking at it only assures me that I have an extremely long journey ahead of me before I can call myself decent.
I have a huge problem with body parts. Namely torsos, legs, arms, hands, feet. I guess the entire body really. I can't really seem to find a guide that really teaches me step by step on how to go about improving on them.
But at the very least I can say that for the first time ever, I've been able to draw something at least semi-coherent without the use of a guide or a reference. And by that I mean it's not a stick figure :). It's a little funny to look at it and see the amount of eraser marks there are. My eraser is almost gone too so I'll need to pick another one up. Really goes to show you how sometimes these things draw themselves. They really take on a life of their own when you put pencil to paper.
A big thank you to people who are watching this. Knowing that people are watching is spurring my drive to draw and become better knowing that people are interested in my progress. Please feel free to send me tips or critiques! It will only help me learn. Or feel free to just say hello.
