No guarantees I'll be streaming these anytime soon, I'm still having some issues with our internet being spotty. I've lost service four or five times in 24 hours ish already and they just say they're working in the area. Sigh.
Since there wasn't much interest in the back to school YCH itself, I might start working on some Halloween/Fall ideas soon after these are done.
Halloween is so my favorite holiday so I'll be trying to have several ideas open, and hopefully also soon get an updated price sheet guide for everything non-YCH!

I will update on Twitter and, with close friends, on Discord how things are going. I'll check in when I can remember to. I've got all devices charged already, charging all the battery packs, and we're about as ready as we can be minus needing some batteries.
The package with our batteries is delayed in Longwood :/ So that might be a bit of time. We'll see.

I had a great time, there's some things that could have gone better, but we always learn from the past year.

The only one I have - Ashes! I'm going to pick out some outfits just for him this time, and try to make some slight fixes to it to make it easier to wear.

I've not had a tablet for about a year now, I can't remember how long ago I broke the stylus. But I've not been able to afford to replace it since it's like $70.
Luckily a good friend is being super generous and helping me out, so I'll be able to get back into things again.
I want to eventually get into doing commissions again, I do kinda miss doing art for other people and seeing what ideas people come up with. But I need to get my own obsessions and ideas out first, and then see how I go.
Bob and I might do collabs though! I like digital coloring and linearting.
In other news, I'll be at Megaplex 2017 again this year. Rooming with Kili and Drake da sheepy, and of course Bob.
I'll be around, and who knows what I'll be doing. Other than stalking down friends and surprise-hugging them and then going back to being a recluse. Like hugging Gem. Also I have Grub's long lost brother I'll be trying to remember to bring too just for Gem.

And since I want things in SL, I figured I'd try my hand at things again. If this becomes something I can regularly do, I'll try to do real commissions again and more frequently.

The past 4 months have been absolute hell on me.
Posted 12 years agoAnd this is going to be the truth as I ranted onto a friend about why I've had so much trouble with the commission I started. (And for the people too lazy to read everything- I AM working on it, and finally with a clear mind I'm making proper progress. I'm HOPING to get the hardest part done and over with soon. Promise!!! D:)
Anyway, I'm sure you guys have noticed I've detached from the community. Truth is, I hit a real bad rut with my depression and I couldn't get out of it. Every time I went to draw, I broke down crying because I couldn't break through the brick wall in front of me. I tried to pick up charcoals to release things- but I never got feedback which just further fueled the cycle. I was and still am in a sensitive spot. I desperately seek out and latch onto any sort of approval or compliments that I can get because stuff is so stressful around me.
I never got to see my SL sister like we planned to. Her mom had to get dental work due to the radiation/chemo ruining her teeth, and so the money that was raised to bring me over (I was raising money to bring Bobkitty with me) was used on that instead.
And then we almost lost our house because my mom's hours got cut to below part time, and the unemployment system was broken and wouldn't let us apply. For 2 months. My mom was desperately needing my help to apply to jobs, and every time I did and ran into issues on my own we both broke down. We weren't in a good spot emotionally. It was hard. It still IS hard.
On the online side of things, I lost my SL family after being with her for about 6 months. We were close friends, but she chose to replace us with someone else and be happy with her new family. We (me, bob, and Mickie) chose to leave so we would be happier elsewhere and not walk on eggshells any longer. She isn't a bad person- but we weren't a good match. And it hurt to let go like that.
As if all that wasn't enough, I had people all over SL secrets claiming I was a scammer. Which only further fueled the depression and deepened the rut I was in. No matter how many times I tried to prove I didn't just run off with the money and instead I had to turn it over to pay for the electric bill, I was still bombarded with rumors. And it hurt- bad.
Through all this time I tried my damnedest to pick up the pencil and draw. To pick up the tablet and draw. But each time I did I broke down crying again because I couldn't do it. I couldn't draw a muzzle right ,I couldn't get the ears right. I couldn't get the pose to look good or the eyes to look alright . It was coming out a mess every time I re-drew it.
So I went onto SL and buried myself nose deep into roleplaying on a Harry potter sim, so I wouldn't fall so deep into depression. It was just a cover up, but finally- FINALLY after the holidays are over, after the drama has subsided, the brain fog and the shut down and the everything has finally cleared away- I'm realizing what I need to do. And that is start over, re-draw it all traditionally. I've picked up Bob's drawing table and I'm starting to draw- and I already have one of the characters completed.
You all know how I'm usually quick to turn around on my art, how I'm always quick to complete commissions as long as i don't forget about it. I am human, and I'm struggling. And the chances of me losing my insurance (and thus therapy) are very high right now, too. So I'm fighting with everything I can to stay afloat. I'm so sorry for the wait, but I really hope you all understand.
Once the sketches are complete and I'm happy with them ,i'll post the WIP and then I'll get the inking and coloring done immediately after.

Megaplex post con report!
Posted 12 years agoI'm finally back from megaplex and after 7 hours extra sleep, another hot bath and some food, I can finally keep my eyes open enough to write this!
Megaplex, like always, was amazing. This year everything seemed to run so smoothly. I love the new hotel! They were very friendly to us suiters and it was a very welcoming environment. I was also super glad that most of the place was CARPET! It made it so much easier on my feet after walking for hours and hours.
I won't be able to recap every day, too much happened and my memory is shot.
Thursday we got there and wandered around til we found Bolt and Kilion. I ran around and also found Skippy and Amberyn and a few others who I wanted to see. :D I wanted to suit up already but I waited until the bowling event and had a blast there too. It was a bit overwhelming for me, but I did my best. I ran around like a nut, bopping people on the head and hugging people. I tried to bowl a little bit but lost interest because I don't care for bowling much to begin with. I just liked to run around and bother people :D
We got back to the con later on and I don't remember what happened then. lol. I probably ran around in suit more, I was in suit a LOT during the con!
I honestly can't remember what I did on what day. I woke up early every day, got my butt up and suited and ran down to the con center and had a blast. I ran around and played around with people, I ran around the dealers den, I hung out in the artists alley. I went to a couple parties and went to the pool a couple times too. My favorite event of all is always the fursuit games. It's so much fun! I loved screwing around with the other suiters, dogpiling on top of them, everything.
I had way too much fun. I got to meet Marinaneira Babydrake 
Tartii and quite a few others! I got to play around with Orlando who tried to eat my bear too D: I had a blast getting to know everyone. <3

We lost three very important men this weekend.
Posted 12 years agoI am very sad to say that most of these fatalities, if not all of them, could have been prevented this weekend during the Oklahoma tornadoes.
Three very important men were among the 14 causalities from the Oklahoma tornadoes this weekend. They were professional meteorologists and storm chasers, doing all this to save lives.
Storm chaser and meteorologist Tim Samaras, his storm chaser partner Carl Young, and his son Paul Samaras, were among the 14 people killed during those tornadoes. Tim Samaras was the founder of Twistex- a research experiment that was aimed to better understand tornado formation, the life cycles, and to measure the wind speeds along the ground during these tornadoes.
He designed, built, and deployed instrument probes to measure atmospheric variables such as pressure and wind in the path of tornadoes. Their goals were to help increase tornado warning lead times and also gather data so that we could design better and stronger buildings that can withstand these tornadoes. He and his team were some of the safest chasers out there, so this comes as a big surprise for all of us. He and his crew have saved countless amount of lives during the decades they chased these storms.
It's sad to say that this could have been easily prevented.
The roads were filled with people. There were at least 70 "storm spotters" out there on the road, not counting the novice chasers who don't understand the full danger or unpredictability of these storms. They had the roads clogged, making escape near impossible. The tornado was wrapped in rain, making visibility null and danger at an extreme. This tornado system also was extremely unpredictable and very fast moving. It took a sudden turn toward them and left them unable to get out of the way, picking up their truck and throwing it. There is a picture circulating around that shows their truck after it was found. It's unrecognizable. It's beyond sad that they lost their lives doing what they can to protect others.
The Weather Channel's crew was also on the road during that time. They foolishly got too close, spent too long watching it and didn't try to run sooner. Their SUV got picked up and thrown 200 yards away into a field. They were incredibly lucky to walk away with minor injuries.
A meteorologist on one of the news channels wrongly advised people to outrun the storm this time. The interstates were gridlocked- people could not escape. If the tornado had traveled across that road, we could easily be seeing death tolls into the hundreds.
If there's anything that people take away from this situation, please please know and truly understand just how dangerous it is to be inside a vehicle near a tornado. If you're in the path of one, and you aren't in a mobile home, find an interior room without windows and hide under sturdy furniture if you don't have a basement or storm cellar. A well built house can survive all but the strongest storms. Cars however can be damaged by the weakest of tornadoes and launched into the air like toys. Tractors and trucks are even more vulnerable to these winds. If you're stuck outside during a storm, get out of your vehicle and find the lowest lying area you can. Lay as flat as possible and hold on to whatever you can.
I'm sharing this because of how important it is to have the right information, to really know the strength of these storms on a deep level. So many people fall into complacency and then don't have an emergency plan set in place. So many people also don't know just how strong they can be on a person level.
The below images are of the two vehicles owned by professional meteorologists and storm chasers. It's extremely sad but also extremely important that people understand. I hope that this opens up a lot of eyes, especially to all the young storm chasers out there who don't know what they're doing. This could've been any or even all of them.

Yayy. I need a badge for Ashes though. I have 2 right now, one from RainyDays and one from Tailbiter. I like to swap out at least one every year though, and get new ones to show off. So I might do an art trade for that.

Have any of you noticed I've been quiet/gone lately? I got tired of stuff. I got tired of babyfurs and their obsession with diapers. I'm a babyfur, yes, but i'm not OBSESSED with padding. i can go days without even -thinking- about it. let alone talking about it. It drives me up the walls to see people talk about it nonstop to everyone they talk to. Just saying.
I got tired of the baby talk outside of RP situations. It's just annoying and hard to read.
Most of all though, I got tired of not feeling appreciated. I tried to do my best for a long time, offering relatively cheap commissions and spending soo many hours on them for people. Some people were extremely grateful, and I appreciate those people. But a lot of others gave nothing more than a "Thanks", a fav, and went on with their day.
I'd draw something and spend forever on it, and then finally turn to someone for help. But I never got help, or critique, or opinions. I got "it's cute". I was trying to improve. I still want to.
I started drawing what made me happy. But then I started to lose everyone's interest it seems. It feels like if I don't draw a cub in diapers, I won't get views, favs, or comments. People won't even take the time out of their day to look at what I drew. Even if I colored it! My full colored pieces were getting nothing in comparison to other people's sketches, or even some of my older stuff. And no one told me why.
I would livestream for people, and get 2 people who would then go afk and never return. And no one told me why they wouldn't come.
So I've stopped drawing for now until I get my spark back. Until I get the creativity back.
Lately I've been in Secondlife creating things for my store there. Making outfits and stuff. Spending time with family and friends.
In real life, I'm trying to stay afloat. I'm working toward applying to SSI. I'm working toward getting official evaluations and diagnoses done for all the things I struggle with. I'm working toward getting to a better place where I'm not miserable.
I'm going to Megaplex as long as I can afford the $45 for the initial cost. A good friend of mine let us room with him with no money pressure, letting us pay him however much we can manage, and however long it might take. I have Ashes still, and I love him. I'd love to get more art of him before the con, but I don't have money to spare.
I'm currently -25 in debt because of my phone bill and a monthly service fee for my bank. I'm working on it though. Somehow.
I'm working on still looking into a service dog. Chances are high that I can get one within the next few years. and places can help with the fundraising and costs. I just need to convince my mom and show that I'm responsible and stuff.
It's 4:30 and my meds have made me sleepy. so I'm going to bed. I got a new haircut today! It reminds me of
Tailbiter when she got hers cut.

Posted 13 years ago--A cleaner gallery. I moved everything that I didn't like to scraps. Sketches, old artwork not up to my standards, etc.
--A cleaned watch list. I went through and removed a ton of inactive accounts.
Hopefully new shoes soon, which will reduce my hip/feet pain when I walk.

I spent New years eve camping, brought in the new year by a camp fire as I heard the neighborhood ring out in fireworks. It was quite fun and It's really relaxing to be out in nature like that. Away from phones, lights, t.vs computers etc. It's refreshing and I need to do it more often.
