Stream Tomorrow! Also, commission prices, finally!
Posted 8 years agoHey hey all!
I'll be doing a special stream tomorrow for the holidays and to celebrate a few personal issues I've been working on over the course of the year. Feel free to tune in anytime from 2-8pm EST at https://picarto.tv/TengokuDoodles.
For those of you interested, I will have two slots open to take on new requests. While I'll be working on new stuff almost exclusively tomorrow, including two fun little nerd works, I think it's about time I start the whole "doing those free commissions' thing again. Should to join in and bring a friend, we'll see about getting you something doodled up all nice and pretty!
That being said, in order to keep the requests I'm sure I'm going to get relatively low and reasonable, I think it's about time I actually start thinking about charging for my work. Now, those of you who follow me at all know I absolutely abhor the idea of taking money. This is for several reasons, most of them personal, but the main reason is, I don't see art as a business. I see it as a hobby. I don't do enough art well enough or fast enough to make any real money off of it, and a lot of folks don't have that much to afford to begin with, so why bother? Also, as soon as something becomes a business transaction, I tend to immediately loose interest, which hurts the final product of whatever I'm drawing.
But, if I ever want to pick up on some of my personal projects and make a start here, at some point I'm going to have to bite the bullet and start in on the whole PayPal and art thing. So, with that in mind, I'm going to be putting up a comission guide for me including examples and prices for the work I can do and how to get it soon. You know, the same thing you see on every channel halfway dedicated to art. Here's what I'm thinking;
1. Blue-line sketches are done for free! - This is my staple. I am a firm believer that everyone should have art done for them, for their characters, and everything in between that they can call their own. I will now be limiting all free work to a first-come, first-served basis, and I will be limiting free blue line sketches to only one per person. No more showing up a week after your first one with a new character asking for a free ref.
2. Inked worked - $2. I actually like inking and lining in work properly, and it's a relatively relaxing process for me, however I tend to take the long way around while doing it, and I fill in details that I simply don't do on my blue line sketches during this process.
3. Flat Color - $5. Colors, as I've found, are hard. I'm not particularly good at them, nor am I decent at choosing them on my own, but there are folks out there with an eye for it and it tends to work rather decently when I can pull it off. However, since flat color can get a little tedious at times (I have had folks change colors on me mid-drawing before.0 I think five bucks for a fully lined in and colored work is pretty cheap and the standard for most folks here.
4. Fully shaded - $10 - This is where things really start to take time for me. I'm getting faster and better at this process, and I do a sort of burned/cel shading style that takes me less and less time to do, but when I do shading I also do highlights, color variations, skin patterns, and details that I can't pull off in just black and white. Considering I've seen folks on here who are...less than talented asking for ten quid for just a sketch, I don't think I'm pushing my boundaries here, and it's a low enough amount of money to keep me from the above listed loss of interest.
5. Additional Characters - Price doubles. - Now, this is where things get tricky. I'm not opposed to doing multiple characters in work, far from it, but I also am utter crap (for now) at designing layouts with multiple people in them. And, correspondingly, the work load tends to simple go off the scale when we start throwing in three or four people in a hot tub scene. I'm just not that good yet to handle those sorts of things yet. Not that I won't do it, but I am trying to work under limitations here to keep from becoming buried in things and killing my motivation outright.
6. Fully rendered - $20 - Full background, fully shaded. Now, I'm going to be drawing two of these sorts of examples of what I can really do tomorrow, so tune in to find out what I mean, but the short and long of it, if you want this, if you want me to lavish my skill on a single pic of work for you to this extent, I feel like I have to ask for at least this much. I'm lazy, often out of touch, and hard to work with as anyone can tell you, but for this amount of money, my pride as a person and my own moral compass will refuse to let me do anything less then my best. With that caveat that my 'best; is kinda only slightly better then what I do regularly.
Now, this is just the skeleton of what I'm think of as far as prices go, and like I said, I'll be putting up a visual referance soon to better explain things, but until then, I think I've droned on long enough. For now, I hope to see you at the stream tomorrow, and I hope this answers a few questions I've been getting recently. Until later, thanks for lending someone your time!

Yay! Shenanigans!
Posted 9 years agoSo, I recently posted a little doodle of a certain blue vixen lady...
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/19423641/
And I don't know what to do with her. So we're going to try something and see what kind of interest it gets.
1: We auction off the character name, design, and all rights hitherto to whoever wants her, highest bidder style. Winner of the auction gets two more pics featuring their new character from moi free of charge.
2: I keep the girl, and we turn her into a public character, where folks can vote on where she appears, who she appears with, and doing what. Sort of like a Choose Your Own Adventure only with more blue-furred boobs.
Either of those two options sound like fun to me, but here's the kicker: you only get to vote if you comment on the picture. Tell your friends, get them to put their two cents in either for option one or two, and we'll have ourselves a grand old comment war. Then, after a week, we'll see what happens and which option got chosen.

Lazy Day

Its been one of those days, so I'll be working on some stuff in the stream and little else. Not taking commissions, but I'll be doodling for my own pleasure and maybe cranking out something. Come and have a look see.

SO!
Posted 10 years agoSome of you might be wondering where' I've gone. Others may not much care. Anyways: SURPRISE!
After a long hiatus, a marriage, two moves, two years at Disney, and another incident involving a lost cat, I return to do arts. For you. Yay.
I will now be hosting a livestream as well, where I will be taking requests as I post them, so if you're a fan or interested, you can now find me working my tail off nearly every day until I'm employed again from 12 to 5PM at https://picarto.tv/TengokuDoodles (YAY!)
I'll be blunt here; I'm not sure how all this streaming stuff works exactly, so it'll take some getting used to, but I've found this is an easy and friendly place to get things started. I tried TWITCH at one point, but it's about as user friendly as napalm toothpaste. So, until I can figure all this stuff out, that's where I'll be. Work from there will be posted with relative frequency if things go well.
So...yay! To the first few people who log into the stream: you guys are the best and I appreciate you sticking around for half as long as you should have. Its more then I deserve.

News
Posted 10 years agoSo, updates because I promised I'd be on here more to give 'em out.
Still drawing stuff, just gotta get everything up to par. Been working on my inking skills lately which should really help speed along stuff, so at the very least I'll be getting more linework up soon. Color will be iffy at this point. Haven't broken out my colored pencils since the last pic, and it's obvious I need the practice, so...maybe I'll be hand coloring stuff too. Get good and old fashioned.
Then again, if I don't get a computer with Corel Painter soon I might go insane.
Speaking of. Its the holidays. Will be busy as usual with family and work, but I;ll try and have something fun for you all when I can sometime next week. Big shout out to ATung231 for his pics, they will be up first, next to that X-rated Violet pic I promised. Which brings us to...
Which scene would YOU like to see Violet bare all in?
1. Fourth-wall c-c-combo breaker.
2. Obligatory shower/bath house scene.
3. Lazy Sunday couch shenanigans.
4. Mechanical arm failure.
5. Super Mega Ultra Double Bust Blaster Attack.
Your call, friends.

Ok. So. Updates and reminder I'm not dead.
Posted 11 years agoWhew boy....been a while, hasn't it?
So it's not a flippin year since I was last able to work on anything, and I figure you guys deserve an explanation. So here goes:
I live in Orlando Florida. I work two jobs, one as Disney, one at a tattoo shop. Both make barely enough money for me to life off of, and I have a few mouths to feed. So, work has been a factor. Also, not gonna lie...I'm a lazy forgetful sod, which is why I give work away for free because if you have to wait six months for a piece of work you forgot about three weeks after...I'm either really good and worth the price or retarded levels of lazy. We all know which one is at play here. (Its the latter.)
Second; computer troubles. I have no working tablet OR laptop anymore, so a lot of the stuff I have to work on now WON'T be digital. It'll all be done by hand and uploaded via scanner. Minimal work will be done to fix it after that point, so if you notice a drop off in quality...that's why. Everything looks cleaner in photoshop then by hand, but hopefully no one will complain too badly. Sadly this also means that I'll be limited in when I will actually get to to draw these things. The aforementioned two jobs keep me pretty busy running around, and art takes a solid hour for me to sit in relative peace to get done. And lets face it...some of the work I'll be drawing up isn't exactly safe for work half the time. So it's gonna be a little long in waiting for this new method of work to bear fruit, so to speak.
So there you have it. TL;DR version. I'm Sorry for making you all wait and think I was dead. Will be returning to work shortly.
In other news, in light of the fact that someone mentioned I have yet to show Violet enjoying herself naked yet, that will be the first pic I post after this rant. Prepare folks, Violet's going to bare all simply because you asked for it. Also, I will be upholding my crusade to give everyone who needs one an original character picture of their very own FREE. AKA, gonna be throwing pin-ups, character sheets, poses, and the like out. I'm tired of seeing folks who love their characters, but just don't have the time or money or artistic know how to draw up a good pic or two. There are some great characters designs out there, and I'm taking it upon myself to draw them for the sake of creation purposes. In addition to my other works, I'll be trying to crank out two of these a week, in order to keep the flow of ideas moving smoothly, and get some more modern work up. But please, lets try and leave room for the people who have nothing and need it. This is the start of a movement to get all those poor folks with no art something, not an opportunity to get a free commission of you and your significant other; although, should your significant other lack a pic, that's free game. Not too stingy on the maturity rating for these, but lets keep this as clean as possible, please. Nudes and such are fine, but do you really want your very first portrayal of your character to be them in orgasmic bliss? (Don't answer that. Please.) And for the love of god, you'd better have more then a two sentence description for me to work with if you do shoot me an idea.
TL;DR version; Got an original character idea or persona but don't have a picture for it? I'll draw it for you for free. Note for details. Two per week MAXIMUM, so note quick.
So yeah...them's the breaks, folks. Good to be back. Stay tuned.

Gah...
Posted 11 years agoYes, yes, I know I'm behind on work. I swear I'm posting thing tomorrow that need to be put up. I've been crazy ruling around trying to prepare for things for June (Which will be hilariously complicated. Thanks family.) so I'm a bit stressed out.
In the mean time, here's a quick doodle of Violet doing the dragon half dance.

Grr...
Posted 11 years agoSo, it's wednesday, and I had planned on uploading a bunch of stuff. Sadly, I'm having internet issues. (Anyone who has Brighthouse, like myself, we really need to jump ship. Just saying.) Furaffinity isn't letting me post everything at the resolutions I have them set at, so it's been slow going today.
I'll be working on getting things up as soon as I get them formatted properly, which shouldn't take too terribly long. So keep your eyes peeled.

Watch for Wednesday
Posted 11 years agoSo, as stated, I will be returning to posting work up for folks. Given my current working schedule, I've decided to start making regular posting dates, usually every other Wednesday or so.
What that means for you guys is I'm going to do my best to start cranking out work every two weeks. While this is by no means a solid thing (I am exceptionally lazy when it comes to work, as some of you may know.) it just works out better that way now I have a job and schedule to work with.
So, now that that is out of the way: work list time. Stuff I'll be getting done and posting this coming Wednesday are as follows:
1. Three works for
featuring himself and the lovely
one pin-up style pose each, and a join pic.
2. Bard post for
as the first piece from the DnD giveaway.
3. Dragon and drow fight for
As second place for the DnD giveaway.
4. Ranger work for the stunning
also for the Dnd giveaway.
5. One giant group pose shot for
done waaaay late as a Valentines commission with a bunch of her folks.
6. Series of six pics for
with his lovely duo and
with a surprise guest because the poor guy has waited longer then anyone for this stuff, and he deserves a lot more then just six works.
7. Anything else I happen to finish for giggles. Which could be a fair bit. After a comment I received, I think it's past due I doodle Violet in the buff doing what she does best when she's not punching things.
Whew...ok, so thats all I can remember. If you're not up there and need to be (I admit, I may have forgotten one or two of you.) PLEASE let me know. As it stands, I'm going to be sticking to the above before I take any more commissions, so hopefully this wednesday will be busy and productive and all that fun stuff.
Thank you all for being so patient and supportive thus far. here's hoping the stuff I do is worthy of your fair wishes.

Sorry all!
Posted 11 years agoI am currently putting a hold on any and all drawings and commissions for a bit. Need to get back on my feet financially, and my work is...shall we say...fluctuating in terms of reliability.
I will post more when I get the chance. Until then, hopefully I will be back up to speed soon.

News and Commission Info
Posted 12 years agoWhew, ok. So.
I am back and producing things. Its taken me a little longer then I thought to get set up after the move to Florida, and I'm only just now getting into the swing of things. For the foreseeable future however, I will be putting up and finishing whatever I can. That being said, I've got a few things to finish before I'll be taking on new work.
For now, if I owe you something, expect it up in the following weeks. I've been experimenting with some coloring skills, and have a pretty good system set up that should help me produce more stuff faster, assuming technology doesn't decide to die on me again.
Commissions of any kind are now $10, and only one payment. Unless stated otherwise by me to you, this is pretty much never going to change. Some info on that is: I like doing work for fun, not for profit. I've stated this before, but theres no way I can ever make enough off her to live comfortably, and since I draw for fun anyway, chances are good I'll forget about what I owe you. I simply don't keep up sometimes. Especially after long waits, I often just give away the commission for free anyway, butI think $10 is pretty damn cheap and easy for folks to do if they want something bad enough. This is a flat rate and covers everything from multiple characters in one piece to color and shading. (insomuch as it is in my skill to do.) The only stipulation I have is subject matter.
I really wouldn't mention this if I could avoid it, but since my most recent posts, I've been getting some weird as hell requests from folk. Now, I'm no stranger to the internet, and I've seen some really really creepy shit done by other people. Lets face it; our fandom can be a very disturbing place. And thats fine. More power to you if you enjoy that or produce it. To each their own. While I can do things (scat, vore, ect.) that doesn't mean I should, and in order to produce anything of any worth, I'd like to be able to maintain some semblance of professionalism while I work on something. If I'm uncomfortable just looking at it, I'm sure as hell not going to draw it for you, no matter what you offer. There are plenty of other artists on this site alone I'm sure would be happy to help you. Just not me. I will tell you right away if I don't feel like I can't do something for you, and I'll even point you to other artists who can instead. But if you're after something that measures on the bizarre scale somewhere below what a normal person would call 'depraved'...take your business elsewhere.
After all that, I'm still happy to work with you. Hell, you might even sell me on the idea of drawing your building rape fetish character if you try hard enough. The worst I'll do is politely decline. New challenges are good, as are new experiences. Its all about the art with me folks and thats how it's going to stay.
So, keep in check throughout the next few weeks, as I'll be cranking stuff out as fast as I can.
News and Updates
Posted 12 years agoHey all.
If you've been wondering where I've been the last few months (sweet jesus, its been months already?) hopefully now I can fill you all in. If you care enough to read thus far.
First off: yes, I'm still working on commissions, but I'll cover that more later, so suffice to say I will be posting new work as I can get it done.
The big news goes like this:
1. I have dropped out of college. This was a big decision for me, and was mulled over after several weeks. Basically what happened is I was denied candidacy to my colleges art program, which was a requirement for me to graduate with the degree I wanted in Graphic Design. The art program at my college was never very good, and due to class cancellations and a number of class credit hours being cancelled, I wasn't able to graduate.
After spending four years at a college, jumping through hoops for professors who didn't help, doing classes I was forced into, and then being denied candidacy outright (which is another whole ball of wax I refuse to get into.) I decided to simply up and leave. I may return to finish my degree later, and maybe I won't; at this point its all the same to me.
2. I now live in Apopka FL. The move came with the decision to leave college. Why Florida, you ask? Well, there is absolutely tons of work available here, art related or otherwise, and I'm twenty minuets from Orlando, which has everything. Coming from a small town like Boone, NC, this is a big change, and I'm reasonable sure I can do better here then I could anywhere else. Even without a degree, I am fully trained digital and classical artist, so theres bound to be something here for me to do.
3. My laptop, which held all of my work and a majority of the files I used for school as well as my personal files, has finally died a horrific death. This was in the works for a long time, as my pervious journals might attest, as technology tends to die on me at the WORST POSSIBLE TIME. While before I was always able to salvage a majority of my personal files, this time, everything is utterly wiped clean from my harddrive.
Now, I know what some of you are thinking; why didn't I have a backup? I did, and in the process of trying to restore that data, my external drive was wiped as well. Without original files to establish any kind of hold on either hard drive, I am left with diddly.
Now, if you can imagine losing everything you have ever worked on for the past five years of your life suddenly up and disappearing like so much smoke, you come close to just how distraught these last few months have been for me.
Whoo, that was a lot.
TLDR; Life sucks, I lost a lot, and I'm only just now trying to pick up the pieces.
What this means for you folks is two things; yes, I will still be working on stuff, and now that I have a new laptop and hardware to work with here in the Sunshine State, I'll be getting back to work again. Thats the good news. Secondly, a lot of my older files I was working on are now gone, meaning I'll have to start from scratch. That sucks for a few of you, but hopefully I'll get it all sorted out.
Till then, best of luck in whatever you need luck in.

Scanner Issues
Posted 12 years agoSo, I got some bad news for you lot. It appears my scanner decided it doesn't like my computer anymore, and the two are in a custody battle for who I hate more. As such, half the work I've done is just sitting there not getting uploaded.
I'll be trying to convert half of it to digital work by hand the old fashioned way, so until then, things are going to slow to a crawl here. Not that they were all that speedy to begin with.
More news. I'll be uploading stuff today as I get it done, but don't expect anything stellar. As follows:
1. Bat repost for
2. Apology pic for
for wait so damn long for his first pic. Kinda owe they guy.
3. Three consecutive WIPS for
featuring Fabian, Hopey, and Ayana. May or may not throw him a freebie for waiting so long too.
4. Some more ponys via D&D garb. Working on Applejack right now.
5. Violet nude. The big girls been waiting to show off her good to you guys, so thats gotta happen.
And thats all I think I can get done for right now. If this stuff isn't up by the end of the day, call me a loser. As for upcoming stuff, I've got three planned.
1. Gift for
2. Gift 2 for
3. Commission offer for whoever gets to me first.

Back for good
Posted 12 years agoSo as some of you might have noticed, I dropped out of existence for a while. Thankfully now life and classes have gotten to the point where I can actually work on things I like again, and as such, I'll be putting up a metric ton of work in the next few days for you all the enjoy.
Also on that note, I realize I am way, way, way behind on commissions and the like, so I'll be checking and re-checking what I owe to people in the next few days. If I owe you something and you haven't seen it yet, please please PLEASE let me know, and you'll have it by the end of the next week, free of charge. My laziness is your gain.
To mark my return, I'll be holding a quick little contest to see what you guys want first. I want to really get into working on here full-time, and part of that is going to involve me taking work from you guys in the form of commissions, but also just get your ideas on what you'd like to see me do with my own characters and the like. Group commissions, if you will. In the spirt of things, heres a prompt for you all to discuss.
Violet nude - at some point, she was going to have give up the goods for you all to appreciate, so nows the time. Shameless pandering aside, it's a good way for me to get used to drawing nudes again, may as well lead the way with my own characters first. So, think of a way to strip Violet down, and I'll put the best ones up in a sketch. Which ever one you guys like more, I'll flesh out into a full color work. Contribute to the vote, and I'll even throw in a quick sketch of your own characters for free. Win-win for everyone yes.
So that's all the news for now. I'll be working on things pretty much all day, so if you like, throw me a quick note and we'll get to talkin'. Time to make some art happen.

ideas?
Posted 13 years agoSo I've been in kind of a working rut and haven't had much time to work on commissions from folks. Have no fear, I'm still working on all of it, but I've noticed that I really don't work on much when I don't have anything new to get excited about working on, so I fall into long periods without doing much art at all. That sort of sucks for you guys who are still waiting for stuff from me, so I've been throwing around ideas to get some motivation going. In the meantime, I'm working hard this week to get those remaining commissions out to you guys.
However, I've been doodling random characters in my free time. A few of those got thrown up here when I got them done, like this one.
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/8497689/ (yay shameless self-promotion.)
But it got me thinking, why not do a mini series of furry characters in classy, Renissance/fantasy costumes? Most people seemed to like the first few drawings of such I have, and since thats what I draw in my free time anyway, may as well get the word out and get some ideas rolling in.
So, if you have a character, male or female, you'd like to see done up all fancy in fantasy garb, shoot me a note or some such and I'll doodle that. Not making any promises on that, but it sounds like a fun project I can really sink my teeth into as the summer wraps up. Sound good? Now some ground rules:
1. Only one character per image. Think of these as fantasy pin-ups, not group shots. I'm not going to do much background on these, so scenes are sort of out as well.
2. Must include a character class! Think DnD. These are your characters, so you have a better idea of them then I do, not to mention what you think they'd look best in. Plate mail? Leather? Mystic cult robes? Set a theme or specific fantasy/sci-fi look you want to see your character in. I'm more then happy to come up with them myself, but the point is to get ideas in from you guys and get some fancy artwork from me for your trouble.
3. No blatant sex objects. These are going to be classy, proof-of-concept stuff, think more cosplay then "sexy" variations, so lets keep the penis belt buckles and bondage ropes to as much a minimum as possible here. Not that I'm not happy to draw that up too, but we don't want to get too carried away now do we?
And 4. ONLY ONE CHARACTER PER PERSON! Since work for me is getting hectic and sucking up my life slowly, I really don't have much time to do three or four pics like these for everyone right away. These are essentially free anyway, so I'll get around to do them over a period of time. That being said, bring in as many ideas as you want; eventually I'll feel the need to draw something new, and you might get lucky.
So there we have it. I'll be cranking out various commissions the rest of the week, so stay tuned and lets see where this goes.

Ending Free work
Posted 13 years agoOk, so since I've put up my offer for free commissions, I've had a ton of work pour in, and sadly its more then I can handle and NOT be paid for. So, to this end, I'm going to have to stop giving out first commissions for free. It also so happens that people who owe me for work, have either outright refused to pay, or simply haven't gotten back to me yet.
Now, if you ordered one from me before now, I'm still going to get it to you for no charge, and if you'd like to get one, I can still offer you a serious discount.
That being said, my payment plans really aren't all that expensive. I charge by the work itself and what you want in it. For example:
You want a black and white piece with two characters in a simple background. The minimum price is $3, plus whatever your generosity wants to add. If you added color to that same commission, the minimum price is $5 plus generosity. Sound good?
So there you have it. I'll be working on a few other fun commissions over the course of the weekend, so hopefully everything will get done and up to speed sometime soon.

Back in the Saddle
Posted 13 years agoOK, so, quick news while I'm thinking about it:
First off, I have my pen tablet pen replaced and I'm all done with random vacation buisness, so now its time to crank out some artwork. That being said, I think I pushed out a few commissions already, and if yours isn't up, it soon will be. I think I still have to do
and
, so if you ordered a commissions from me, free or otherwise, let me know and I'll get to work.
On the free commissions note. I've been stiffed twice now by people on other sites that I did paying work for and have yet to see a dime. That kinda sucks, and no one on FA has done it to me yet, but let me outline exactly what my paying policies are in case someone needs to know.
1. I will always set a price on my commissions with the commissioner. I don't have standard rates: i think they're too restricting and silly for the value of the work that I do, and for peoples wallets. What it boils down to is this; you pay me what you think the artwork you're getting is worth. I'll usually set the lowest price at $5, but anything else you want to pay beyond that is up to your own generosity. Artwork for me right now isn't about getting money, it's about refining my technique and meeting new people.
2. I work on a honor system for every commission past the first. Essentially what this means is I deliver the full piece, rights and all to you, and I expect to be paid the agreed on amount within the next two weeks at the longest. I won't come asking for money, and I won't remind you; I'll expect you to honor our arrangement. Should you not do so, I'll remember.
3. I do not have a Paypal account, and I won't be getting one. I don't trust the thing, and since they take a percentage of every transaction anyway and I won't ever be dealing in sums of cash over $20, it's kinda not worth the hassle. So I prefer working for money orders over all. If you have some other way you'd like to pay, just shoot me a note and we'll work it out.
I think that about covers it. I deal with most every bit of work with other folks personally anyway, so most of the details get ironed out via notes or messages and the like. But, seeing as how I'm getting some steady work, I may revoke the "first commission is free" thing for a bit just to get things finished up, so if you'd like a free pic just for the heck of it, let me know now!
I'll be off working some more, so expect some more stuff up soon! Thanks for managing to make it this far into my ranting post!

Me gusta...
Posted 13 years agoFinally, finally, FINALLY got my replacement pen tablet pen in the mail today, so all that work I've had piling up is going to get done. Whoo!
In all seriousness, I know I've got a few commissions lined up that I'm going to crank out in the coming days, and hopefully everyone will be satisfied, so if you ordered a freebie commish, you'll have it soon. Between my vacation for the 4th (which I neglected to mention I was going on) and my work and family stuffs, I haven't been as on top of things as I should be. Hopefully that will change and a good deal of new pics will be up for your enjoyment.
That being said, if anyone would like to grab a commission now that I have the motivation and time to spare, now would be the time. Firsties are free, as always, and don't feel bad for asking to include Violet in them either; she's sort of got one section of my brain reserved, and she's been kicking around for a while now to get out and hit the art scene in a big way, so we'll be seeing more of her at some point. Quite a boisterous woman, that Violet is.
So stay tuned ladies and gents, and things are bound to get done.

Whew...this week sucked.
Posted 13 years agoOk, time for my second journal update ever. Aren't you guys lucky.
Bad news first. I have lost my tablet pen. I know, suck. I've had to wait until I can get a new one or find the old one, so what this means to you guys is my work has been slowed to a crawl. Rest assured I am still working and getting all your comissions and the like done, but I'm just going to have to ask for you to be a bit patient with me until then. I'll need at least a week for my new one to show up (since I'm cheap and can't pay for overnight shipping), so if you can stand waiting, I'll have a whole host of new things up for you all to see!
For the fun stuff, here's a list of all the comissions I am working on, in order. If you've requested one from me and you don't see it, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. I don't want to go and forget anybody!
1.
Jayce playing the video games! Its already turning out pretty good. At least, the linework is. NOTE: may be making Jayce a bit more boyishly muscular then usual...sorry, but its just my style. Should have that done fairly soon. Say, Monday or so.
2.
Conjoined twins. Can't remember the names exactly...but it should prove fun. Have to admit, its certainly out of my normal areas of work, but here's hoping I can pull it off.
3.
Upside-down fruit bat fursona piece. Yay! I almost never get to draw bats, and I love doing them in terms design (see Deathbringer). Its tricky getting the pose just right, since he'll be hanging down, but I think it'll work.
4.
Kahmori action scene. Really going to need my pen for this one (sorry!) since the fine little effects are really going to need some fine tuning. Also, adding in ten tails to an already muscular kitsune is going to be all sorts of hell. But it's already looking pretty sweet if I do say so myself. Some of my best posework to date.
5. Aaaaaaand I don't have a fifth one to add to the list. Considering the backup already, and between my work and summer courses, I'll probably take one more commission if anyone would want it. Don't want to get too far behind. Or I'm forgetting someone.
OK, so that should be it. in addition to my continued MLP characters, the Tengoku cover, and various drawings of Violet and others...its going to be a wave of art coming out soon. Lets hope my poor paws can handle the strain. They do other work too, y'know...but thats getting into naughty territory so we'll end it there. Woof. Back to work before I say something provocative. Keep in touch people!

Stuff stuff stuff stuff art stuff stuff....
Posted 13 years agoWhew, ok. So my classes are winding died so I now have more time to get all the weird junk I have lined up done. Most of these are commissions from peeps, but with any luck a lot if it will get done by the weekend. So on to the listings!
1. Commish from zaruchan
2. Commish from swiftpurpose
3. Commish from xolroc
4. MLP Rarity (kinda surprised I don't have this up already.)
5. Tengoku Cover #1 (whoo!)
6. Free Spot for whoever wants it.
7. Free Spot. This could be yours.
And that's all I'm willing to try and take on right now. I'm supposedly free this weekend to iron these things out, so if your name isn't up here, and you want it to be, shoot me a note ASAP! Remember, first commissions are free! Well, within reason. I do have a family to feed you know. With chocolate.
