Posted 9 years agoWell, reseating everything and tidying up my cables fixed the previous issue and kept it fixed.
...I was right about the hard drive that's been used for ten years failing, though. It's not as bad as it could have been; I mostly used it to store big, easily-replaceable files (like video game installs). It had a few things I was transferring, but the original drive they came from is still working fine.

Shaking with fear
Posted 10 years agoMy computer kept randomly rebooting with no error information. Moving the power cord had an effect, so I'm hoping that replacing the power cord will fix it. I'm worried about data loss if it keeps doing this...
