I miss going to the Prancing Skiltaire.
I am in Humboldt now. Its amazing, I love it. I encourage any of you to come visit me. I'll have a couch for you, plus in town motels are cheap. I would love visitors.
Anyways, I know I have been a cunt these past months. I am sorry. I haven't been a good friend.
But I am going to change myself, be a better person is my new years resolution.
I'd love for anyone to contact me for my number. I am lonely up/down/around here.

Posted 15 years agoI know, I haven't been very active in the fandom lately, but here is a detailed-ish journal about what is happening in my life, if any of you are interested xD even I wouldn't be XD
Anywho, so I am finishing my last semester an acquiring my AA this fall of 2010. I have been planning on applying to SFSU and moving there in January, but due to the FUCKING SHITTY ECONOMY OF CALIFORNIA'S RIPPED ASS!!!! I won't be able to apply cause they won't take my impacted major there, and there are new budget cuts and shit for colleges, yet again. hooraaaaaay.
But my academic life is not so dim; through a difficult search of any other universities I can apply to and get the fuck out of my house and CC's, I found Humboldt State University. Oh my fucking glorious science. They are the most perfect university for me. They have the best programs for my major and are a non-impacted Journalism department! I don't have to apply to it separately aaand I can specialize in writing and broadcasting! I am fully eligible to apply, nothing is holding me back. The only thing that can prevent me is that MOTHER FUCKING BUDGET GODDAMN I HATE CALI SO MUCH SOMETIMES!!
Plus, Humboldt is nature based! Forests and marshes and ocean and everything! Farms too! Marijuana farms tooo! XDD
It is heaven on earth for Kira, it is where I plan to go. When I get that acceptance letter, I think I will cry.
Also, if everything goes extremely well, my new boyfriend will move with me. Even though I have a boyfriend, lesbian is still one of my sexualities, I still had to set that straight XD
I am looking for another job because I finally realized that THD, at the one I work at, I am the one treated the worst in my category; a young girl. Everyone else is too cute and sexy to be mad at, or to dainty to yell at, but me, uh huh, its different. I am always given the hard time. So hopefully something new does come up as far as job goes.
So my last semeter at GWC will be odd, woin't be taknig all the classes I wanted because Fencing was cut and so was Photography, and Total Fitness for Women, and I am sure much more
TL;DR Might move to Humboldt in Jan to transfer to the state university there, might move with my boyfriend, still lesbian as far as one of my sexual identities go.

But, I am nooot really into it that much.
I just like it cause I can haz a cool character and have art done for it.
Perhaps also the whole outlet/expression thing.

CAliFur is this weekend and I am seeing and meeting friends for the first time there and everything and THREE DAYS is not enough to spend so much time with them.
BUT MY FAVOURITE BAND MUMFORD AND SONS IS BACK IN THE U.S. PLAYING FRIDAY NIGHT!!!
Should I leave the hotel for a few hours and enjoy their EXTREMELY AWESOME CONCERT
and ditch friends I HAVE NEVER CHILLED WITH BEFORE
The Mumford and Sons are from the UK and their shows SELL OUT crazeh like. And I love them.
I don't know when they would be back :<
What should I do?

Posted 15 years agoYay, it says I paid, The staff of CaliFur searched by hand that I did pay, apparently PayPal failed horribly :/ I am real grateful to them. But as to why I kept getting those emails requesting payment is a mystery as far as technical difficulties go.

I'm sorry that you didn't get your confirmation when you originally paid (it would have gone through as soon as it was entered into the reg system by an authorized person), but I've told the system to resend a confirmation to you. Why you might have gotten multiple notices I can't say - I didn't do it, and the reg system isn't supposed to send out e-mails unless it's told to. You only got a notice in the first place because it looks like you registered JUST before I sent out notices to those who showed a balance due, but before yours was confirmed.
Let me also say that the reason a notice went out to anyone in the first place is that CaliFur is one of the only (if not the only convention) that lets you sign up without paying ON THE SPOT. In addition to accepting PayPal, we also let a member sign up, and then send in a cheque or money order - unfortunately, an awful lot of these people then do not send in payment in a timely manner, and some just say "Oh, I'll pay if I show up at the con" - which somewhat abuses the system.
The whole point (for ANY convention) of discounted pre-registrations is that it does cost the convention money to get things arranged before the con - and it uses pre-registration funds to do that. If people sign up but do not pay (the discounted rate), not only does it make things difficult for the convention, they don't get the discounted rate. There was an e-mail sent out some time ago just before the last discount break telling people that if they didn't pay before the deadline, the amount they owed would go up (since they hadn't paid already). The notice I sent (only to those who still showed a balance due) was to remind people that online reg was soon coming to an end, and that it would be helpful if they made the payments they said they'd make before - NOT "Pay up or else".
In trying to coordinate all these registrations, glitches will occur (we've determined yours appears to be a PayPal communications problem), and if we're contacted directly, we'll work hard to get things set right - sorry about that.

I just don't like the idea of being "owned."
There are a lot of pros;
I don't need permission from anyone when I wanna do something naughty or flirt or make-out or anything with someone.
I don't have someone relying on me.
But, then I don't have someone to rely on...
But then I can see anyone at anytime that is convenient. So, for example, if I wanted to go out tonight, I would have some choices of who it would be; someone would be available and willing.
So, I am not totally happy with my situation... But who is really?
