So earlier today I had a bit of a freakout, and I think I need to just address some things because there's stuff going on behind the scenes. First thing's first, my queue is completely freaking me out. I've already been making strides to bring it down, I have a work schedule in place to try getting things out in a timely manner, and I've been reducing slots. But the hardest thing I've done is mentally telling myself 'you're not in college anymore, you can afford to say no to a comm you don't want to do'. I'm not naming names and I'm honored by everyone who comes to me to bring their ideas to life, but for years now I've had a tendency to take on commissions I knew I wouldn't enjoy doing because I was afraid 'what if they're the only business you get and you don't make enough this month for food or rent?'. It's a tough mindset that I've only recently been breaking past with the reception to my stuff as well as recent success on Patreon.

But I'm the kind of guy who likes instant results, and my lingering mistakes are still clinging with past months in a queue three months long. I hate it, I want it finished, and I want to take a break but I know I can't because it would only delay work that needs to be done.

Besides that December is a stressful month for me. When I work I always get 'in the zone', and going out always breaks me out of the flow of drawing, so a month of seeing people, going out, Christmas shopping, and in a few days flying out to my folks half the country away is just giving me major anxiety because that work schedule I had is already shot for December and it's only going to get worse.

To top things off because of all the gifts I got for my family, combined with a car insurance payment I completely forgot about, I'm going to need to do extra work so my account isn't completely dry. Nothing major, I'll likely turn one of my destress sketches into a YCH and put that up tomorrow, but it's still extra on top of a huge workload that's just completely consumed my thoughts for months now, and will continue to haunt me for months to come.

I'm not blaming anyone with this, I'm fully aware the state of my queue and all else is my own fault, but I thought you all deserve to know how things are on my end. If you're wondering where your comm is, it's probably not even started yet, won't be for awhile. To those who've patiently waited, you're mvp's and I appreciate all of you. Once I hit enter on this I'm probably going to go back to chip away at my work again, so just wish me luck and thanks for the support.

Like the title says, I'm officially on Patreon now as the new artist for Big Stories! I've been talking about it for awhile with Ren, but I think it'd be best and I've enjoyed the few months I've been helping so far, so I'm looking forward to making this a part of my monthly routine.

Ideally I'd like to get it to a point where we can pay for a good chunk of our rent via Patreon, so to help build it up and get more hype from now on we're offering:

As the title says, due to the insane backlog I have right now, I realize I just need to throw in the towel and close all commissions until I can power through it. I have 30+ pics in the pipeline right now, including DnD stuff that I do for friends. I have a few finished that I'll be posting soon, but they really won't make a dent in things, and as the list gets longer my drive to tackle it gets lower. People have been waiting for stuff for too long, and it's no longer fair to them all to keep them waiting.

When will they be open again? No idea. I have enough money saved to pay expenses through July, but after that I have no clue. We'll just have to see, but most likely I'm not going to open again until my list is clear. I might do more growth drives if my rent and all gets too bad (I've really been gravitating to Kovu as my next victim) but we'll just have to see how much I can accomplish in July.

Hey y'all. So as many of you know, my backlog recently has been sort of insane. I'm a month behind on commissions, and while I know compared to many artists it isn't that long, it still weighs on me as I work on a monthly timeframe and I like to keep things orderly. Sadly this backlog has begun to hit me and I've begun to experience the beginnings of burnout. I need to change something so that I can finally get caught up and stop stressing over this queue, so:

For May, I will only be taking a small number of commissions. Likely just 3-4. They will not be first come, first serve as I usually do, but I will make a Google form tomorrow and I will choose the 4 commissions that I'm most interested in doing.

Keep in mind, THIS IS NOT A PERMANENT CHANGE! I'm only doing this to get caught up on my commissions, or at least mostly caught up. In June I will go back to first come, first serve as I believe that's the fairest way to take commissions. I don't like the Forms way as it shows favoritism, but since this is about trying to keep my motivation up I'm just going to be selfish for a bit. Also even if yours isn't chosen it doesn't mean I don't like your idea, only that I'm in a mood for something different. Anyone who still wants their idea drawn in June is more than welcome to contact me again when it's back to first come, first serve.

I'll post the form tomorrow and take a pool of ideas for a few days, then contact those I pick on Friday. Keep in mind my prices and rules will remain the same as usual. Thank you all for understanding!

Heads up yall: I'll be opening up for commissions TOMORROW instead of my usual on the 1st. Last night the spring in my glasses failed, and I've been overdue for a new prescription, so I'm opening up a bit early for that. I've almost got February's comms done, but I know those from March have been in the dark all month due to everything that happened at the start of the month. I'm grateful for everyone's patience and I haven't forgotten about yall! But in order to try and get myself back into a regular schedule, I wanted to let you all know I'll be seriously looking at doing nightly streams soon! I'll sketch in the afternoon when it's quiet, then get them colored in the evenings, so the output should be faster from me. I'll need to get with friends to help set it up, but I want to get it started in April, so look out for that!

As many of you have already heard,  rockytheprocy passed away last night. There's been a lot of love and grief, and I'm not completely sure what to say myself, but one thing's for sure; He's going to be missed by a lot of people. Obviously this means the growth Drive is on pause. I'll most likely go back to it and use future donations to help his husband pay the hospital and funeral bills. But right now drawing and everything is just hard, and I'm sorry to everyone still waiting for stuff. But that's part of why this hits so hard is because he was the one that inspired me to try making a living off my art. I was just in a fog after Florence, and he was a lamp guiding me to where I needed to go. He genuinely changed my life. And I still need to take March comms, just so I can afford to fly up for the funeral and everything, and those will take awhile too. But I'm not going to stop because I don't want that impact he had on my life fade away. I want to keep doing what he did, because I love it. I want to preface this by saying I'm grateful to everyone who has been patient with me with the pics I owe them. As you know adopting my new dog distracted me quite a bit and made me fall behind on comms for January, but I have been working on everything and am trying to get back on track with it all. This also includes the last part of the Jack growth drive. With that out of the way-

I think it's fair to say I'm REASONABLY annoyed to be pestered about the growth drive when I'm juggling quite a bit right now. Besides keeping up on comms and the growth drive, taking care of vet appointments for said dog with heartworm and ear issues, recently one of my close friends, Conner, has been hospitalized. It's been a frenzy of messages from friends, getting new info, praying and clinging to updates on his status. Needless to say, the worry surrounding this has made it SLIGHTLY difficult to draw, further exasperated by those who want to pester me about the Jack growth drive. Every day, every morning I have been getting messages about it and I am just about to dump the half-finished sketch and say 'have at it' just to be done, so I can focus on the other myriad responsibilities and worries I have on my plate in peace.

The question was posited, 'Will you do another growth drive to help Conner with his medical bills?'. The answer? I don't know, but if y'all are going to keep coming at me like this, ravenous sex-starved reporters hounding me like I'm some furry Princess Diana, probably not. That ship won't so much as sail as be sunk by impatient, rude furs with no tact or poise. So I again ask you, please wait while I work on the many responsibilities I have to worry about before I think about any new projects, and rest assured the projects I do have will be done in time, though some of you REALLY don't deserve it.

I'm going to hold off taking comms until tomorrow, I still have A LOT from January to catch up on plus the last part of Jack's gd. I know it's been taking forever, but Toby is very distracting. Still, thanks to yall for your patience and support through this tough month!

Title says it all! I know I usually open up on the 1st, but I'm taking today to work on December's comms, and it'll be easier to get stuff organized tomorrow while I pack to head home to Florida. So I've been thinking on this awhile, and due to the cost of living on my own plus seeing what other artists around me are charging, I'll be raising my prices going forward. I think in a year I've improved enough to justify it, and with all the detailed outfits I keep getting I'm just really not making enough for the time it takes for each piece. It won't be a huge leap, but I've settled on good numbers I think are fair given how everyone just goes right for my biggest sizes on the chart. I am loosening up on rules though, and hyper dicks will be back on the table. But yeah, I think with how much I've advanced doing this for a year, as well as the sizes I do and how it seems everyone wants big, FF-esque detailed outfits on those big dudes, I think a price raise isn't outrageous. I'm also experimenting with how to speed up my process, and if I can get a groove with it I may start offering more slots too. I've learned a lot doing freelance this year, but I'm still learning and hopefully I can get something solid someday, but for now here are what my prices will be going forward:

Single character, simple bg: $150
Complex bg: +50
Additional characters: +$100 each
Sequences, 3 parts: $375

So I know I dropped the ball on comms this month and I'm just now starting to get these out, but due to some stuff that came up, I'll probably open up comms again on the 1st but with limited slots. Likely it'll be no sketches, no sequences, and I'll only do 10 to keep things manageable. I've got a wedding out of state on the 13th, visiting Conner and Ren on the 17th, officially leaving home the 20th and moving into the new place on the 22nd, besides setting everything up once we get there and buying some new furniture, so these pics might not be done until July. An update for those who don't know (because I've gotten more people asking about sketches than I have commission slots overall), they're all taken! I only have 5, and in the future if you want to know availability, I list all of my slots and who has them on my profile.

On that note, due to this popularity I'll be looking at increasing the price of sketches in the future.

Just wanna quickly say sorry to those who commissioned me that things are happening so slow. Virus stress along with Paypal taking like 2 weeks to get sorted was just stressing me out too much to get much done, but I'm hoping to get everything back on track now!
