Update on Motorcycle crash.
Posted 10 years agoBeen a while since it happened, I thought that I posted something a while back. Guess it slipped my mind.
Recap on what happened. Uhhhh, the bf and I went to a friends. Didn't leave until it was like 10 at night. Took one of the short cut back ways to get home. Stopped at a four way stop, started to go left. Seen a car coming so he accelerated a little quicker and the headlight just lit up an ENTIRE patch of look gravel! Only thing I could think when I seen what we were going towards was O in the phrase 'Oh SHIT' and that was all she wrote.
It was like someone replaced a man-hole and said 'You know what, we have done enough work. Lets skip the pavement part and just lay some gravel down and call it a day' Well sir, we wrecked on your laziness.
The bf had some road rash on his arm after we slid about 10 feet. I cut my knee open on the man-hole cover and had some pretty nasty road rash along with that.
Coolest dude ever, once I hucked up the strength to actually move around this guy who turned out to be a road worker on his way home. Turned on his lights and blocked the road so no cars would turn into use while we were still in the street.
Everything is pretty healed up now, I have a pretty nice war wound on my knee now from it.
Slight slight sliiiiiight bit of PTSD from it. Now every-time I see gravel, I clench up a tad bit. Can even be in a car and see Gravel and I tighten' up a tad.
In conclusion, we are fine. The bikes fine. We actually got damaged up more than his bike did which is a Kawasaki Ninja 500r, dont know the year sorry.
In the 3-4 years iv been around motorcycles, that was my only wreck. He's never had a wreck before so we had our first low-side together YAAAAY!

A fallen friend...
Posted 12 years agoHeading back to Kentucky soon, while I am there. I am paying an old friend a visit.
He was killed while serving the United States in Afghanistan.
Been thinking a lot about him the past few days..from the tears shed from the thoughts and memories I figure I'll pay him a little visit.
R.I.P David Taylor, its not the same here with out you man... Miss you lots..
