Yup, today's this mutt's 29th birthday.

Got a meal out planned with the family, but mostly hoping to spend time with a few friends, and someone special hopefully.

Haven't had much with gifts yet but as I write this, I've only just woken up lol

Well, got a new job, been in it now for 4 months, and by the looks of it should go permenant in the new year, which is all good.

At the moment though I've been suffering with back spasums first thing in the morning, mainly cause my job is CAD design and such, so i'm sat down most of the day. Been swimming now a few weeks, and it's brought my stamina back up but the back spasums still persisted... found out it was the bed :|

So.. new bed's on the cards once i've finished fixing up the car since the inspection is due in October, and got a week off end of this month which is parlty resting up and partly fixing the car ready for the inspection.

Besides that, I've been gradually rebuilding finances, also clearing debts slowly, along with helping out a close friend, they know who they are <3

Hopefully this Christmas should be a better one for my family, 2010 wasn't a good one as we'd all been stuck out of work, staring at loosing the house and moving. 2011 is looking much better this time around.

Hopefully a new bed should sort my back problems (lack of support from old matresses..) and also looking to get a new TV to retire the old 14in one we've had for about 15 years.. it's still going but the switches are broken on the TV itself , cept the on / off switch and the remote's held together with tape! xD

To all those people whom know of Senna, and what he did in Formula 1, this is a film worth seeing. It brought back a lot of memories from seeing Senna race, especially the Senna / Prost battles. The footage from the drivers' meeting was of particular note along with the uncensored, raw emotions expressed, both on and off the track, this is a film that if you have a passion for cars and racing, you must see.

If not, it is still worth seeing, for the story of a man whom ended up commanding the respect of his peers, and earning the respect of his rivals and leaving a legacy that no-one will probably be able to fill...

After having my job contract come to an abrupt end, and not sure if i'll get my full pay on notice (having been asked to leave early) I also managed to fall down the stairs...

4 years at university, and 28 years of chasing a dream, finally landed a dream job

Well, it's been nearly 6 months since i've graduated, 10 interviews and as yet... still no job :/
The news isn't too good here in the UK, with 1 in 5 recent graduates still unemployed, thanks to the recession... great.
So I've been pottering about, rebuilding a few friend's cars, and applying for every job under the sun i can find, even applying to companies who aren't adversting vacancies, incase i get a chance at something, as yet, nothing..


Sides the ranting. I had a thought; if i was to attend one of the major cons, such as AC or FC (if and when the current situation allows me, when, i dunno c.c) I was wondering out of the people who've watched me, and talked to me online but not been able to meet me in person would say hi.

And it's 2.11am here in 2011.

Well having since graduated back in August and recently had the ceramony I've been constantly looking for work, since having had the intial interviews at Tesla and a few other companies fall through, I've been struggling to find anything.

It's not for a lack of trying but as of late things have become increasingly difficult... though have spent some time fixing friend's cars up to help out with bills...
Most of the guys on the team got jobs within 2-3 months, but i've been one of the few stragglers that haven't yet gotten a job.

It's.. well, ungodly frustrating being stuck on unemployment, continueally applying for jobs and 90% of the time getting nowhere. 8 interviews and Zip. Being without any company close to me here it's even tougher.. For pete's sake i'm nearly 30 and haven't even spent a night with a lass..

My life seems to have just.. well peaked.. and ground to a halt.

This mutt turned 28 today, so far got a smoothee maker from my brother with a book with recipes and a cheque.
Hopefully someone out there will give me a job too!

Ok Back frmo Germany as of Monday, and what a trip it was.

Having driven through France, Belguim and into Germany, we got within 40 miles of Hockenhiem only for one of the calipers on the back to go pop... then again we'd been tanking it at over 120mph (legally!) at times XD

Topped up the fluid and made it to the circuit, managed to get a new caliper from a local garage.
Anycase, onto the Formula student competiion and up to saturday, we'd been doing really well with being in the top 15 and top of the UK teams once again. Unfortunately when we got to the manditory driver change in the endurance, the car didn't want to restart and we got knocked out D:
What was weird was that the car had never failed to restart, even on hotter days but this time it didn't want to... and even weirder was that all tests came back with no fault and the car fired up first crack 10 mins after we were forced to retire. Talk about rotton luck! but that's racing for you...


Also to all those in California... you might have a britwuff soon depending what happens as i got a phonecall whilst in Germany, from Tesla Motors in San Fransisco! o_O
Apparently my CV caught their interest after i sent it in on the off chance i'd get a job, and they called me back. I've still got a number of things to get through as yet, but if things work out, i'll be moving out to California in Novemeber.

Well... after 4 years... I've finally done it.

Just finished off my Final year project (thesus) as of a few minutes ago, baring a proof read and some minor tweeks, and a few photo's i'm waiting on from a company it's done...

After this it's handing in the project, a logbook for an engine build followed by 2 phase tests and 2 Exams.... and that's it.

Well, ish still got Formula student but that's all i've got for this summer till August, providing i don't run out of money D: And then it's back to the real world and getting a new (and hopefully decent) job.
