As the title states, I'm not going to be posting for a very long time. I no longer feel motivation to post stuff anymore, to be quite honest. The investment it takes to post stuff when I get pretty much zero traction is disheartening. So I'm going to take a very long break from posting outside of the occasional collab with my girlfriend or someone else, or something like that. I got so wrapped up in numbers that I forgot how to enjoy creating for the sake of creating, and want to rekindle that fire before it burns out.

I don't know when exactly I'll be coming back, but I don't plan on it happening until I have seen significant improvement in my work quality and speed. Until I feel good enough I'd be willing to buy art from myself for at least minimum wage. When I do, if anyone is left still giving a damn about this page, you will know. Not because I'll start posting here, however. I plan on starting fresh on new pages that aren't cluttered and disorganized and full of dead or bot accounts.

After searching for a job since 2020, I finally got a job. Feels good to finally get an offer, and it's a whole lot more money than my last job. Commissions will remain open, but I will need to figure out how much I can work on art during the week with my new schedule.

As the title states, I opened up a Redbubble over the past week or so :3 I am currently casting a wide net for the range of products available because I don't know what would sell and what would not, given that I'm a bit of a merch newbie. If anyone is interested, I currently have 6 designs available, five of which are fan art, and one is featuring Niti :3

Altering the terms and reference of my commission sheet. I don't feel comfortable trying to make people pay for my measly background work, but it's too time consuming to give away for free. So I'm going to alter it to be "no backgrounds, backdrops are free"

I've been feeling a lot lately like I should just stop posting and leave the online art world altogether. My work feels... homeless. DeviantArt used to be my main source of traffic, but now almost all of my traffic is bots. And the little interaction I get is from people I can just send my art to directly over DM. FurAffinity has never worked for me in the 9 years I've been on there, and it will probably never work because I refuse to draw porn or fetish stuff. And Twitter will probably never work because I don't post consistently and frequently. It... really puts a damper on my desire to keep making my art public when I feel like no one is on the other end to watch. At least people that don't have the privilege of being able to have it sent to them directly.

Just... needed to get that out. But I doubt anyone but friends care.

Saying that your character dislikes things like "rudeness", or "liars", or "ignorance", or other such things does not make for compelling or interesting characters, because those are things that are almost universally disliked. Think outside the box. Examples from my own character bios could be things like "power outages", or "scary movies", or "debates and arguments". :3

I'm currently working on another dakimakura, and this one is going to be crazy ambitious because it features Char-Char, who now has nine tails. I'm pacing myself slower than usual so I don't burn myself out.

Now that Zorra Appreciation Month has been completed, I am going to take the weekend off of art and then come back in full swing on Monday for my queue :3 From that point on, I'll be working on "work" art Monday to Friday every week, with the option to do personal art on the weekends. :3

Due to the fact I'm in dire need of commissioners at this time due to my life situation, and the apparent lack of interest, from now until January 1st, I am reducing the price of all commissions by 30% :3 Please spread the word, I'd be so grateful.

I am intentionally not posting WIPs for the next two days of my current Zorra Appreciation Month project, as it is a tie-in illustration for another chapter in Silver Fox Tails that my girlfriend and I wrote together. I want it to be a surprise :3

As of today I am unemployed, due to my work causing me severe, chronic pain. I'm opening for commissions to try and get by while I try and get on disability. I certainly did. :3 I went out of town for about 10 days. Got to have an unconventional Thanksgiving dinner with my girlfriend's family. We called it Cheesegiving because everything was cheese-themed. The night before that I celebrated our anniversary. Was wonderful.

I have decided to expand on previous traditions where I draw and receive lots of Niti art for Christmas this year, and hopefully for years to come. I'm going to call it Zorra Appreciation Month, and it's going to be a month where lots of fully digitized artwork of the Zorra family is going to be made in a short amount of time. The purpose of it is twofold. One, to give the spotlight to Zorra family members who got less attention throughout the year than the other members of the family. And also to build discipline. In my experience, motivation without discipline will not get you very far. Motivation is what gets you started, but discipline is what keeps you going. How much art is going to be made throughout December? I'm not entirely sure just yet, but if all goes according to plan, I'll finish one picture every 3 days, with the exception being the one picture that's actually holiday themed getting some extra time for more polish. I'm thinking 9 or 10 art pieces by the end of it. Everyone wish me luck on this endeavor to give the Zorra family love and improve my mental skills as an artist! :3

Not that silence is anything new around here, but I have a reason this time :3 I just spent the last week with my wonderful girlfriend, Kitty, in person for the first time, and I didn't want to take my attention from her to go fuck around on the internet.

I really didn't want to have to open for commissions, especially after what I said at the beginning of this year with my art giveaway, but I need to open for them now. Inflation's going up, I have more expenses than ever, and I learned at work today that my hours are being cut despite nagging them for months to give me MORE hours. I would be so grateful to receive business from anyone reading this. Thank you. <3

I was very surprised and pleased by the number of people who posted on my journals. :3 Usually my journals gain so little traction judging from past experience. But anyway, a week has gone by and the submission time is up. I'll be notifying the winners privately right after I finish writing this announcement out. If you were not one of them, don't fret :3 I plan to do at LEAST one more of these giveaways (possibly more if I have a lot of fun with them) later after I finish the two winning arts from this one and maybe work on a couple of personal pieces.
