Ok, so it's been nearly 2 years since I basically disappeared from FA aside from a few comments here and there and the ever so infrequent upload. I am proud to say that I will be moving back to Columbus within the next few days! It has been a rather long adventure down here in KY and I've since gotten fed up with my employer and their lack of employee-care. Any way, long story short, hopefully I will have more time and motivation to get back into my photography and carvings. So please keep on me to work on stuff and I'll get back into the swing of things soon :)

So as my last entry will tell, I was 5 weeks away from graduation. It's been 2 months since I received my degree and I've been searching for a job since. I got an offer this last week and I am currently in process of moving! Talk about timing..current lease is ending this week and I'm moving directly into a place in northern Kentucky. My new job starts on Monday and I have a lot of anxiety over all this. It's a big change going from 5 years in college where you always have an idea of what to expect in the next school year to starting a career in a different state. I can't say that I'm not excited though. I've been on pins n needles for the last week and have just been too busy to get to relax that much. Anyway, my next update will most likely be after I'm settled so stay tuned in ^^

So...I got my first commission :D Friend of mine from back in h.s. asked me to carve her something. Didn't say specifically what, left it up to me >.< I'm not always the best at coming up with ideas for this sort of thing, but I think I've got a good plan in mind. I'm just thrilled that someone asked me to work on something. I wouldn't have thought that my in-my-free-time artwork would go anywhere at all ^^ But hey, I'm happy either way.

No reference to Portal :-P I've been art-ing my ass off lately. Posted a few pics of what I've been working on. I know I'm not into much of the 2-D art forms, but I love to work with alot of other materials. Been carving and creating everything I can get ahold of really. And, thanks to my gf, I got a new dremel tool to work with. I can't put it down really. You name it though, I've gotten into all kinds of stuff: wood, bone, hemp, tagua nut (natural equivalent of ivory) and just getting started on a new one, soapstone :) I haven't had many opportunities to put my camera to used lately either, but I have been kinda busy. Last quarter of classes was pretty rough. This one isn't looking to be much easier on me either. That along with other things going on, my freetime is down to the bottom of the bucket right this minute. Maybe when things slow down, I'll try to get out on a good photo shoot again. Least hopefully. Guess I'm just sayin that I'm still around, working on stuff here and there. Most things that I work on are attention-intensive and can't be put out in a matter of hours. So I'll share some stuff soon, least when I get it done. Haven't planned on having any dicks in my work either, so don't ask ;-P

Sleep..

In the traditional sense of the phrase, this summer has been hell so far. Hot and humid, never ending, and busy as all hell. I've been working too many hours, and too many days. Lots of things have been going on, but I haven't even stopped to look at everything in perspective yet. I've got a new girlfriend, new job has been under way for a couple months now, moving down the street in a week, and I just haven't been keeping up on anything lately. Taking a look at some of my favorites, I've noticed that I have taken a liking to a lot of deep, contorted sort of artwork lately. From various artists, I've just come to fancy more in-depth art compared to some of those in the past. Maybe it is reflecting my mood to an extent. I don't know.

I just came into the knowledge that there is a recall on quite a few 'wet' dog and cat food items in general food markets and stores. We've been having problems with our cat, including a few trips to the vet, extreme dehydration, and other stuff. the vet thought she had kidney failure. This seems too coincidental to be any good at all. I'm putting the word out and hoping some people help me get this around. It's been two weeks now since I last knew where my camera was. Been trying to find out where I put it, not sure if I misplaced it here, or at one of my friend's places. I'm sad because I love that camera, even though it's been through alot, been handed down to me, and I've taken a couple hundred pictures already xD So, if someone comes across a 3.2meg Sony, CyberShot lying around here somewhere, please let me know. I'm hoping it turns up. :-/

Ok, I just felt like saying a few things since I'm at home and not in class. Yay for snow.
Anyway, I just have a thought to some people around here that really get on my nerves just a little bit. I know alot of people like or dislike Valentine's Day and all that, *capitalism, *commercialism..whatever. I feel that those people that feel that its a stupid holiday should at least try and keep their comments to themselves. The fact that there is another day out of the year to maybe plan something nice for someone, aside from all the other days that we would celebrate (anniversaries, b-days, and other holidays) All of them have their individual meanings and specialness to people. I myself know how it feels to be with someone and to show my affection at random times, or on days that we would just hold special between us. I also know how it feels to be without someone to show my feelings. Randomness is always great in that situation, but sometimes, life doesn't give time for it. Its all nice when your schedules coordinate and all, but too many people I know hardly get to spend much time together. I would say let them have a day or two extra that they can both try to have together. Show your affection when you can, and don't put down someone else's thoughts because you have a problem with the way a society is run. Screw that..put your anger towards something more constructive, instead of good feelings that people have.
Alright, I'm done.. go on with your lives ^^ I'm going to go play in the snow for a while xD

Well, it's getting into the mid-segment of my quarter, classes are running full steam. It's tough, yeah, but it's bearable. Up's and downs have been running my life all over lately. Lots of things to think about and keeping busy to stay on track. I'm thankful for those in my life that are there to help me, same as I am for them. There isn't much else I could ask for really. School is getting into the habitual life again, which is better than the craziness of the starting days. Being an engineering student has it's perks, but I hate some of the stuff that we do. I hope that all of you are doing well on your own parts too, enjoying what you are doing too ^^ I'm lucky that I have the friends I do. I can admit that. Helping get over hurdles in life, being around for a laugh or two, having fun..we're all in this together, might as well get the best out of it :D

Just tossing the idea up in the air. let me know your thoughts, would be glad to talk about it :D
