So, as you all know, Vancouver (my hometown) is hosting the 2010 Winter Olympics games. As part of the tradition of the Olympics there is always the Torch Relay, which carries the Olympic flame all the way from Greece. Today I watched the 104th day of the torches journey as it ran down the street right in front of my house! Now, I haven't been very interested in the Olympics, but something about seeing a flame that came all the way from Greece, and has been buring for 104 days, it inspired me a little. So sure, the Olympics are driving away the film industry (I work in the film industry XD) for a few months (which is moslty why I didn't want the Olympics here). But I figure, if you can't beat em...join em! I watched an amazing performance put on today to welcome the world to Vancouver! GO CANADA GO!

I know everyone already posted these kinds of journals. But I really wanted to wish my friends on here a Merry Christmas. I hope you guys have a great one. And while I'm at it, Happy New Year!! <3

Yesterday I attended my very first furry get together. It was Howleen 2009 held at the Compass Point Inn in Surrey, BC. I had so much fun, meeting and interacting with all the local suiters here. A lot of interesting things happend, the first thing being on the way there I took an exit too fast and I spun out my car. Luckly for us I didn't hit anything so we just continued on like nothing happend XD After we got there we played games and such, and then we wanted to go out for lunch. So as we were walking down the street (in suit) we ran into a protest to legalize marijuana use. The people at the protest loved out suits and got us to hold their signs. It was pretty funny cause afterwards they asked if we could smoke a joint in our costumes...we said no XD All in all I had an awesome time, the dance was really fun, the people were nice. I can't wait to get to go to my next furry con, where ever it might be X)

My friends and I went suiting for Halloween, it was awesome! This was our first real outing in all our suits. We went to Stanley Park (Vancouver, BC) in the morning, got tons of photos taken by people, hugged children, had a leaf fight, it was great :D Then we went to Granville Island for dinner and then downtown. We walked along Robson and Davie street, so many people took pics and shouted out to us. It was so much fun I was sad when it was over :( Can't wait till next year!

In Vancouver there is a fireworks festival each year, and different countries come over here to compete. Each country is on a different night, and tonight was the UK. So my friends and I decided to go, but then we thought it would be even better to go in cosplay!! So tonight I was dressed as Sora from KH and I watched some awesome fireworks!! It was good times. I just got back from an amazing four day trip! 2 of the days I spent at the Northern Lights Wolf Reserve up near Golden, B.C. It was so awesome!! I got to learn a ton about wolves (most of it I already knew, lol) and I saw 4 beautiful wolves, I felt so close to them, at one point they all started to howl and it was the most beautiful sound I've ever heard! I can't wait to go back someday. And then the other 2 days were spent touring around B.C. and looking at different small towns. I had a lot of fun camping and seeing the wolves. I'll upload some pics later :D I hope you all had a great weekend.

Well, today was the last day of Anime Evolution and I've already slipped into the ol' post-con depression :( Oh well, now I have something to look forward to...in a year. Lol. I had a ton of fun, I'm super tired, but it was all worth it. I had a chance to meet some local furs and I took some pics, which I'll upload later :D But right now I'm too tired, so look for those later :D If anyone went to the con I hope you had a fun time, and if you have any pics send me the link to take a look. Today was Pre-Reg for Anime Evolution :D They were a bit delayed but the wait wasn't too bad. The rest of the weekend I'll be at Anime Evo all day! I can't wait, tomorrow I'm gonna cosplay as Sora from KH II. If anyone else is going I'll see you there, otherwise, have a great weekend!!

AE is coming up sooner than we have time to make costumes! Haha, but I'm super excited for this year. If anyone is going keep an eye out for either a Roxas or a Sora! (probably wearing some paws and a tail, haha). It's gonna be a busy week X3

This past weekend (and next weekend too) I was a film instructors assistant, teaching kids from 14-16 how to shoot a short film basically. So I went up to Whistler Mountain for the weekend, made a short film and saw 2 bears!! (Our film is about the bears near the city). So it was pretty exciting and I just wanted to give an update. I'll be pretty busy this week since we are doing new house renos. But its good to be back and I hope you all had a good weekend :)

I'm going camping with 2 of my friends for the May long weekend, so I will be away for 4 days. I hope you all have a great weekend, take some time to relax ;) Alright, Happy Weekend all!! *packs tent*

Yaaaaay!! I got my Sora cosplay in the mail today!! Yes, it's my 20th birthday today. Odd, I don't feel any special-iler (is that a word?) Lol, its kinda odd that I've finally left the teen years behind me. The Snow Leopard Trust (www.snowleopard.org) is hosting a fundraiser to benefit snow leopards and you can help too! All you have to do is sign up for their eNews letter--simple, right? For every person who signs up, $2 will be donated from the Kearsley Fund to the Snow Leopard Trust, for a maximum of 3,000 new subscribers! What does that mean? Well. I am home from my trip to Kelowna to see my family. I had a great time and I'm sad to have to leave them again. But school starts on Monday so I needed a day to get back into things. Also, today is my 1 year anniversary of becoming a 'furry'! Yay for me. Anyways I hope you all had a great Christmas, I did, and Happy New Year!

Well it's that time of year again. Time for me to relax after what seemed like a million exams and go back home. Where the reported weather is currently at -20 degrees...yay. Cold aside, I can't wait to get home and see my family, my friends, and of course my dogs! This school year has been alot tougher compared to last year and I've never found myself wanting to go home more. I am leaving tomorrow at 6:45am on a 5 hour long bus ride! Yay! So I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and a super Happy New Year. I might not be on as much but I'll be sure to check back :) With that said, Happy Holidays and see you all later...well, I won't really, but you know what I mean ;)
