Well, not only did I have to wish Syn farewell I helped her set up her stuff at college, but I got a huge phone bill today. Apparently some low life used my phone number to charge a subscription to some ringtone/wallpaper site AND the cellphone company uses a very screwed up billing technique when you get a new phone in the middle of the month. In the end, my phone bill, which I was expecting to be $45 turned out to be $95. Needless to say I called the company and had the stupid subscription removed and a STOP PURCHASE put on my phone meaning that any purchasing will have to be done directly with a customer service rep. Personally I hope whatever lowlife charged crap to my phone catches herpes or something. Even after all is said and done, I still have a higher phone bill then usual, so I guess I will be paying the bill and the one $5 commission I got earlier last week and then being broke, yet again -sighs and curls up in bed-

My master (read as girlfriend) is looking to get to Anthrocon through the generosity of her friends. She went to go and pay for the ticket up there last night only to find they have raised the price. She was able to come up with the money just a few minutes ago, but now needs food money and such.

As I was walking home during the night (about an hour before I wrote this) there was a bunny crossing the street and was about 5 feet from making it safely to the other side of the road. Some heartless jerk in a pickup decides to run it over not 5 feet to the left of me so, as it's poor life is snuffed for no reason, I am spattered with blood. Rabbit blood. Not like a bucket full, but more then a couple drops. I just got out of the shower and am still in a slight state of shock/upset so I am sorry if I act a little depressed or anything tomorrow. My father called me downstairs to break down a few boxes that my new desktop came in. Not a problem, 30 seconds worth of work. He then proceeds to tell me to get work clothes on because I am going to come out and do yard work. Now, seeing as how I came down with school book in hand and no music coming from my room, you would think he would get the point that I am actually doing school work, even after I tell him so. Not to mention the fact I have told him THIS IS FINALS WEEK more then 4 times. But no, he proceeds to call me a liar several times and then tells me to "go do your work.....IF that's what you're really doing" in a snotty ass tone. I just dont effing get it. He tells me to be more serious about school, yet when I actually buckle down and do it, he ALWAYS tries to drag me away from it for something that is far less important like yard work, or picking up things downstairs. So, I ordered a computer a couple of days ago from Tiger Direct, a good and well known online computer and parts retailer. Well, it came today. Now, this was a barebones system, only coming with a case, processor, HDD and RAM, I knew this well and good and was fine with it. I later found out that the processor, unlike all the other CPUs I have dealt with, did not come with a fan/heatsink. So I delt with that and got one with the order.

Flash forward to today, my computer comes via UPS. I open it up, get most of the parts put in and set up, only to discover that A: the heatsink I bought is a piece of shit and wont fit into the space like advertised and B: the case, again unlike all the others I have dealt with, DID NOT have a fan in the back to blow heat out of the case. I don't know how many of you know about computers, but the point is, if you have no fans, your average desktop computer fries within a matter of minutes due to the serious heat built up by electrical resistance in the CPU and other components.

So where dose this leave me? It leaves me pissed off, with a useless heatsink that I wasted money on, no useable computer and in need of $45 to purchase a new heatsink and case fan. I cant draw or design worth a crap and I don't get paid till next week, but even then my check is going to be tiny due to snow causing work to close. So basically I paid $400 for a useless box, at least for the next month.

After our workplace screwing her over and getting robbed -which included her emergency fund- last week, she needs to build a little money back up for necessities as well as to pay for her belly dance classes that start soon.

Sometimes I am a little jealous of my girlfriends art skills. She is so good at being creative, drawing, dancing, writing and just being such a high energy muse. Me? I am good with 1's and 0's, the black and green of a circuit board and the glow of an LCD screen. Not only is she good with art, but when she needs to, she can take commissions in an instant, work a few days and easily have $50 in her hand when she is done. Me? I have to go to school, get a degree and have several certifications before I am even considered for a job. I get that my skills may be more lucrative in the long run, but what am I supposed to do until then. I work a part time job, but there is only so much to be made at minimum wage as well as having to go to school full time. I'm just frustrated because there are things I want and need, like a new desktop to replace my old one that I have had for over 5 years, some new clothes and hell maybe even have some money to save up and go somewhere to get away from parents for a while or something.

-sighs- I understand the concepts of woodworking and have the tools to start in it, maybe I should look into that. I dun know. What would be the price on something like a simple handmade jewelry box or something like that? Better yet, what would people be willing to pay? I have no clue.
