This is a quick work and personal update that may affect some commissioners.

So I am back to work today and suffice to say I am already behind. Due to heat, family, fires, stress etc etc etc my 2 week break (which wasn't really a break because I had too much I still had to do) was a shambles and I've come into the New Year with more work than I left the old one with. This is my doing and my responsibility.

What will current commissioners need to expect? Your commission as per my schedule and queue dates will be late. Not may be, it will be. I will try and keep everyone within a week of where they're scheduled and hope to catch up over time. Anyone who gave me a deadline either for a gift or a convention, I will make sure if you need to be bumped up you will be, I made a commitment and I'll stick to it. As it stands there are too many of you for me to contact individually, I'd lose hours of work time, so if you have any issues please contact me directly and I'll ensure I respond within 24 hrs.

Artists for the Amazon and a couple of convention and charity projects will need to take some priority over the next month as well. I will do my best to keep these on weekends but it could also slow down work. The fact of the matter is I took too much on at once. Now I have to knuckle down and start crossing things off my to do list. It's that simple.
I'll keep you updated if there are more delays, but for now, hopefully no more than a week for most people.

Thanks in advance for your understanding, this doesn't happen to me on this scale very often.

It's that time again!

Those who've known me for a few years now know that every new year I clear out my main gallery, I move all my work to scraps and start fresh.
This process is entirely for me, it helps me feel fresh and normally encourages improvement and patience in my art. I like having a clean slate.

Don't worry, all my work is still organised into folders in my gallery and should be just as easy to sort through. It's just my profile that'll look a little bare for a while.

Just a reminder that I don't do ref sheet commissions. I've gotten an unlikely number of requests for them lately. If you've seen or see me do them it's either for myself, for a good friend or I was in a really accommodating mood that day. Generally speaking I will not accept them as a commission. I don't like doing them.

Hey all! Long time no update.

So with pride comms wrapping up (I think I've done enough for a little while), YCHs nearly all done and Patreon rewards under control, what am I planning next?
While I have a fair few side projects underway (my ocelot stickers and pins, finalising my kickstarter and something else that's still in its baby stage but also charity related) I've still gotta make money so next up I'll be working on filling up next year's portrait and chibi art books. That means within the next two weeks I'll be opening slots for both commission types. Examples below:

You'll have noticed my price sheet has vanished while I'm updating it so the new prices for these will be announced when they're offered. I'll be doing my very best to increase the quality and time that goes into these, if I'm capable.

I also want to offer more feral full detail commissions as I'm really enjoying the recent ones I've done, so that may also pop up inbetween other stuff, and some badges cause why not. No full body anthro stuff for a while, I'm wiped out on big pieces.

As previously mentioned I'd like to offer two Trail Cam images a week, and I'd like one to be a YCH and one to be custom with a flat price. The reason it took me a while to sort this out is simply that YCH and custom prices often vary greatly from each other and I didn't want that to mean everyone would wait for one option or the other based on what was cheapest last week. It's not fair for those who pay more and it's not fair on me either.

So my solution to this problem is simple, the YCHs will be anthro and the customs will be feral. That way we get the mix of both throughout the images and I get to draw more ferals for once!

The first feral slot will become available later this week for $210 USD (or $360 USD for 2 characters) and like the YCHs will contain both a full detail colour image w background, and the same image again trail cam style.
I'm happy for the images to be SFW or NSFW.

If, for whatever reason, the slot doesn't sell I'll just throw in an extra YCH.

That's right, I'm setting up my trail cams in your local reserve. What will they catch? Who knows.

Thanks to a fun idea gifted to be by SibeorHusky, for a while future YCHs will have a new theme. 'Caught on Trail Cam!'
The images will feature anthro characters out in the wild doing what they do. They might be caught by surprise, they might be posing for the camera, or they might be otherwise engaged.

I hope to offer two of these a week in a mix of pre-sketched YCH or maybe even some custom slots. The exact pricing style, be it flat rate, auction or something else entirely is still to be determined.
Winners of said slots will receive two versions of their commission, a normal, full detail, colour image, and one in the style of a trail cam. A greyscale/greenish, grainy image with a time/date stamp (the day I post the image) in the corner. The main goal of these images is to be amusing. Whether they are SFW, NSFW or even some standard feral pics will come down to what you guys give the most attention to. I am certainly open to suggestions and ideas.

More info shall be sorted out when I have the first YCH ready to share. In the mean time have a think about the theme. Let me know what you'd like to get out of this series as either a participant or a viewer. All opinions will be taken into account.

RE: Your auctions are too pricey, I can't afford your art.

Something something I don't set the price my auctions go to something something that's you guys.

Anyway, I basically just want to point out that my general prices have barely changed for the last 3 years, only rising about $50 max, if that. The fact that I haven't been able to take general commissions much this year comes down to me working on other projects and having a full queue. But that also means there have been LOADS of other opportunities for commissions, my queue doesn't come from thin air after all.

My patreon, as one example, offers telegram stickers and full detail wing it commissions every month, and there are slots available on both of those. Has been for months. With what you get they're actually cheaper than my general prices.

I also had a large number of people at my last con enquire about commissions but very very few actually followed through or paid on time. Again missing out on that opportunity is not on me.

Following that were pride commissions of which I took almost 20. None of those were priced over $80 per character (some as low as $40) and it's a ton of work for me. They were open for 24 hrs as well, so it wasn't a fleeting chance.

So just, before you complain that I'm expensive/never open for commissions/hard to commission etc etc etc... please acknowledge the opportunities that have and are slipping past.

EDIT: Just to add, the reason for this journal is that I'm human, and these comments get to me sometimes. I do have feelings and can't help reacting badly sometimes.

Some limitations however, still pin up themed (3/4 or full body is fine) and still nude/suggestive.

Otherwise hit me with your ideas! If they strike my inspiration I'll use them for my future YCHs!

Hey guys,

Before I start this isn't directed at anyone and no one's in trouble, just an FYI. I've had a lot more people than usual emailing me about commissions. I find this difficult to deal with because it almost always results in me telling the person I can't help them. My queue is long, I have a lot of people to prioritise and I've made enough exceptions for friends and the like lately. I also have patreon rewards and my Kickstarter to worry about. There are people on my queue who have been waiting in excess of 2 months and that's something I really hate doing to people, I don't want to continue that cycle.

This is why I can't say for sure when I'll be open next. I do YCHs or teensy openings when I need money but as for large general openings I just can't. And I can't slip one person into my queue when I'm getting two emails a day asking for the same thing. I am very very sorry, I am just tired of saying no and letting people down because I can't help or answer their questions. I also haven't had a weekend off in a long time so let's say my stress is just a little but heightened at the moment.

Basically what I'm asking is not to email me with commissions in mind. You are certainly welcome to ask questions, get quotes or whatever but don't do so as if I'm able to follow up on it any time in the near future. Please respect that I'm stressed and concerned about disappointing people (my anxiety means that I can't reason with that side of myself atm) so if I am blunt in response I do apologise.

Anyway, no need for sympathy or anything, I just want to let you guys know so I can rest my brain a little.
