This is my last full week until I'm away for 2. I will be finishing everything that's sketched (as of today) and also all traditional badges that you guys have been so patient waiting for. I'll make sure to mail out badges and patreon rewards early next week at the latest. Definitely before I leave.

If all goes well only 10 commissions and a large handful of telegram stickers from patreon will be left for after my next con. I'll update my schedule asap as a few are still missing, but my trello is up to date.

I will be taking commissions at FurDU so online peeps will likely have a long wait before my next availability. Your patience is appreciated, please don't ask me when I'm open next.

Other than that, I'm just super busy and stressed atm. I'm doing my best to make sure my clients don't have to deal with that stress, but sorry if I'm a bit blunt sometimes. It'll all be over soon.

Just because things are hectic here's how I'm going compared to 12 days ago when I gave the last update.

The calendar - It's half done. I am sincerely struggling to push through as it's a lot of large pieces and I've fallen way behind my intended schedule. I'm still on target to finish it in time for FurDU. I thank you participants for their trust and patience.

Con Prep & T-shirts - All my international stock is ordered. Stickers are in the mail, tapestries should arrive this week and t-shirt transfers are currently being manufactured in China and should hopefully arrive in the next 2 weeks. My money situation has eased a little thanks to Patreon (THANK YOU) so I should be able to get through the rest of the stock and prep with little more than one or two YCHs to back me up. What's left are buttons, prints, printing calendars and making con badges. It's a lot right now but I thankfully have all free weekends this month (my birthday excluded) so I have loads of free time if I need it.

Pins and the Kickstarter - It's back on track! The kickstarter page itself is almost ready to launch. My test run of pins (100 pumas) arrived and they are STUNNING!!!! You can see photos on my twitter. I've bumped the full collection up to 25 pins and I have 10 completed and 15 sketched. I've also got some vague planning for extra stuff happening but that'll be mostly done AFTER the kickstarter is successful/reaches a certain point. I really wanted to kick the whole thing off this week but I realised how stupid it would be to have to prepare designs for stretch goals in the same month I'm dying from con prep. So instead of ending the kickstarter at FurDU I may choose to start it there, or maybe a few days beforehand. Those attending the con will be able to see the test pins in person. I keep calling them test pins but they're pretty much the real deal. It's looking really good and I'm really excited.

Personally - I'm a stressed wreck. Nothing to be actually worried about just, pleeeeeeeeeease be understanding if I get snappy in the next few weeks. It's not personal or deliberate or even conscious. I just might get a bit blunt... so things happen and I can keep moving through everything. I shall be revived in June.
Also, it's my birthday on the 25th, mentioning it BECAUSE I CAN. If any close friends are planning on getting me anything for that can I suggest you don't and please make a donation to World Wildlife Fund or the Australian Cancer Council for me instead? I have enough stuff and art and stuff. Stuff. I'd rather that effort go to something that needs it.

This is just an update to explain where I'm at and what's happening.

The calendar - I've been working hard on the calendar for the last two weeks but the constant work on larger images is taking it's toll and I am 2 days behind on my schedule. I'm still aiming to have the calendar finished in two weeks time but I don't know how that will go. I'm doing my best to maintain quality as well but I also feel like I'm struggling there.
For those who still want to take part, a page with two YCH slots will be up later today.

Con prep & t-shirts - I am under the pump to get all products that I need to order internationally for my next con, designed by the end of this month. I have my books, tapestries and sample stickers on the way. I still need to finish and order proper stickers and maybe a couple other things I'm sniffing around. This is the reason for the massive YCH burst. I am getting very very short on money. I've had to suspend all my weekly savings and payments so I can stay afloat and out of my personal savings.
The other big thing atm is upgrading my t-shirts to more professional and durable transfers. I've been in discussion with a company for 4 weeks only for them to keep losing my emails so I've had to very quickly switch to a different company. The upfront cost for these transfers is gunna kick my ass but I hope it'll be worth it. Waiting on samples atm.
Finally next month will have a lot of time dedicated to my 'made at home' products such as the calendar, buttons and prints. Big paper and ink costs there. Hopefully I get to the con with a little left in the bank.
All the while trying not to let these projects affect commission deadlines.

Pins and the Kickstarter - This project is on a small hold atm while I sort out everything else but I'd like to launch it by the end of May. I'm waiting on a small test run of puma pins from the manufacturer so I can quality check them and have an idea of their production times. I have quotes and 10 pins designed of the intended 21. As I also want other products like stickers and t-shirts involved in this Kickstarter I can't focus on that whole thing right now. But hopefully once the con prep is done I will have enough sketches and the bones of a project to launch before I leave.

Personally - I'm focusing on a lot with myself too. Diet plans and personal training to try and improve my appearance and health are also draining my wallet dry. That said I'm seeing results. I'm getting stronger, leaner and while the scales don't show it, the mirror does. Yay muscle.
As you can imagine, with all this on my plate my mental health is up and down quite constantly. I do work best under pressure but it's been a lot of pressure and without as much comfort food I'm having to find new ways to cope. All that said I intend to keep pushing because I have to believe the reward will be worth it. And when June rolls around and all the convention stuff is done I can just relax, focus on myself and be a commission artist again for a while. Two months of my life is nothing if all this work pays off.

Thanks to everyone for their patience with commissions. I've done my very best to keep wait times under two months and I think I've kept that up for the most part. I wanted to clear my queue before the next con but money issues had other ideas so I do apologise to those who are now sitting in June on my queue. Your patience will be massively appreciated. Fortunately I can plow through YCHs in any state of mind. I may still have to post a few more to get through the next couple of months. That money vanishes quickly.

Anyway that's most of it. Friends please note that when I'm quiet on social media it means I'm working hard. Please let me do so for now.

I put this idea to a vote on twitter and it seems people like the idea so I'm going to talk about it here.

In the lead up to my only big con this year I want some fresh designs and unfortunately, with many of my stock orders coming from overseas, I need to put in orders earlier than my queue will permit. However, I can justify working a few hours every weekend if I know a few dollars are backing up me losing my free time. And so I put the question forward, are you guys willing to fund/partially fund new product designs? Turns out many of you are!
I want to pursue both fan art and animal art. General woodland critters, pokemon, dragons, griffins, okami etc. The designs will be for stickers and buttons, and maybe expand to things like mugs and so on in future. I also want to use my strengths in painting and shading so I'd be putting more time into them than my old simple stickers.

The rough plan I have at the moment is the following:
- Announce the design I want to work on (eg. red fox)
- Offer two funding slots of say $30 per design.
- Those who fund will receive the high res file of the design and be sent a sticker and button (when I have them) as a thank you. I'm not sure how best to mail buttons yet so I'll have to work that out too.
People are welcome to fund a project in full 'I will take both funding slots', and thus receive 2 stickers and 2 buttons + a print or partially fund multiple designs and save themselves up a collection.

I'd just do them one at a time so there's no build up of projects. The subjects would be my choice but maybe I'd take a few polls as well.

Anyway that's the plan. Opinions and advice are welcome.

I fully intend (although may not be capable) to complete all outstanding commissions, including icons, badges, wing-its, overdue patreon rewards etc in the month of March.

While even I think this is a tall ask for myself I am going to try as hard as I can. I've developed a few wrist issues this week after a lot of long days and pushing myself at the gym, but I intend to rest it well over the weekend so as to cause no lasting problems. I have scheduled every single commission on my trello including the icons so that they actually get some proper attention. Provided nothing personal comes up, I will work and work and work. It's about time I pushed myself and made some real progress and in due time, some real money.

I will allow myself a max of two YCHs a week as well to maintain some income, (I used a lot of the calendar income to take out some big expenses and don't want to get caught blind if someone needs a refund). That's maximum, sometimes there may be none. If I do offer them please note they won't be completed until May, after the calendar is done.

Anyway, thanks for your ongoing patience. I hope to make everyone as happy as possible in the next few weeks!

I've been getting a lot of emails over the last two days from people concerned about their commissions (likely because I'm still taking a lot on board so in all honesty it's totally fair if you were concerned).

For those who didn't know, I do have a public trello which shows all commissions to date in the order they will be worked on. I'm almost certain no one is missing from it at the moment so please check your status in the queue if you have any concerns. For an idea of how fast I move through these have a look at the 'Complete this month' list and you'll be able to see how much I've got done in the last 15 days.

A reminder to some important points -

However there are a couple of updates.

The cover, I have decided, will be a YCH. That way I can keep control of the aesthetic but still open it up to the public. There will be 3 slots at $150 USD each. That will be released this week before the page slots open.

This is not a rule or restriction but I really really want to put the call out to more female characters. If you're a bloke with female characters or a gal who's up in the air about joining in, I really encourage it. In fact that goes for any variant of gender. Its just been a very male heavy calendar and I'd like to mix it up a little more if possible.

That's about it. Remember payments will be due upfront but there's been a solid month's warning to save up so I'm hoping everyone's organised.

Oh and a final reminder that the calendar is SFW only! If you're planning to join in so you can show that bulge off I've got bad news for you. It's as clean as I can get it given the theme.
