So, I don't think I will because it's a genuinely bad idea but I'm sorely tempted to just open Wing-It commissions (see the last 3 submissions in my gallery) and just leave them open.
Like they're good money, they're great fun and they really let me stretch my muse with minimal restrictions. Yes my muse needs stretching. It's been sleeping.

The problem is that my queue, AS PER USUAL, is freakin long and it's a terrible idea and just PFFFTHS

So maybe I'll take 2 or 3 a week starting next week? I dunno? I enjoy them more than YCHs for sure even if they don't pay quite as well.
I'll see how I go and if I can keep on schedule.

Okay so, this will be the first ref opening in over 2 years. Why? Because they drive me nuts.
SO, I will leave the form open for a few hours and I will be choosing 2 or 3 applications to add to my queue.

- Take your time filling out the form and triple check every detail.
- Explain your character extremely clearly OR have ample visual examples for me to work from.
- Did I mention taking your time?
- The simpler you can explain something the better. If you need to write a paragraph about a marking just for me to understand it... no.

Hey guys!
I should have expected this but I let my queue get away from me again. Currently the total wait for people right at the end is a month and a half and while that's not terrible, it's also not what I want. So, to fix things up again I'm implementing a tried and true commission taking method that's worked for me in the past.

For every 5 commissions I complete, I can take on 1.
I will likely save these openings up so I can take on 2 or 3 slots at a time but I'm afraid I've already lost control to the point I can't do weekly openings anymore. This will also include YCHs so sometimes I'll make a slot a YCH instead.

Thanks for your understanding. I've had a rough time of it lately (mostly heat and mental health related, but doing my best to fix and work around most of it) but I'm trying my very best to catch up again.
If anyone has any concerns about their commissions let me know. I'll do what I can to put your mind at ease.

This is just a heads up that I'm going to switch which program I work on icons with. I'm currently using photoshop to get a nice, sketchy feel to them but I honestly think it'll be a lot faster for me to work in Clip Studio and it'll mean the shading will look a little cleaner too. It'll be the same amount of work and I honestly think they won't look too much different, I'm kind of just announcing the switch in case anyone notices they're a tiny bit different. It will also mean I can work on them on my tablet too (as the stupid machine throws hissy fits if I try to run photoshop on it anymore), so hopefully I'll get through the last 24 a bit faster hehe.

Anyway, back to work on the Dog Park piece. Only have 4 characters and the background to do, so hopefully that'll be done soon.

Hey everyone. So I'm still struggling this week, I know it's only Monday and I have a long list of excuses that don't mean much to anyone. So, I hope you'll all forgive me for doing so, I'm going to work out of order this week. I feel like the only way I'll be able to keep up with my queue without taking days off is to pick and choose what I want to work on. Hello hello you wonderful people.
It is time to discuss the 2020 FiU Calendar. "But it's only January" I hear you cry. Well yes but this year's calendar started a lot later than originally planned. I want to have the next one ready by May so that it's good to go for my year's convention run. So here's everything you need to know about getting a page.

- Slots will open Feb 15th via journal (Australian time zones)
- Slots are first come, first served.
- The cover WILL be available for the public under certain conditions of the image itself. Aka it must look like a cover and not just another page.
- Pages are full detail and A3 in digital resolution.
- One character in the calendar per person.
- Participants from last round are welcome, but you cannot pick the same month as last time (you may repeat a month from before then though.)
- Page themes are up to whoever claims them but each page will have suggested themes. This is in an attempt to prevent double ups on ideas and season related pieces.
- Swimwear counts as underwear (preferably not board shorts though... those are shorts.)

Prices
- 1 Character w bg $200 USD
- 2 Characters w bg $360 USD ($180 per person)
- 3 Characters w bg $450 USD ($150 per person)

I encourage everyone, and it is in your best financial interest, to share pages. It allows more people to be involved and can build new friendships too.
As with 2 years ago you can claim a page by yourself with an idea for $180 and have me offer 2 slots in that page as YCHs for $150ea. The person claiming must pay a higher price as they will decide the idea for the image and background, then the sketched page will go up for remaining slots as a buyout YCH.

Good morning and Happy New Year fluff muffins!

As you can see I've been working a little behind the scenes. This week I've organised the 1000+ submissions in my gallery, made my new price list, put together the new Chibi Book of Chibis and Book of Portraits, started printing calendars again and getting badges prepped for printing too, updated my website with any small changes and just over all helped myself get ready for this next 12 months. But right now I want to talk about commissions.

Due to unexpected costs I was not able to clear my queue with the new year as I had to take on more work and was understandably a lot busier than I thought with personal things. I had originally expected to have the money from selling our puppies by now, but apparently I have a few more days to wait. That said, as of the end of this week my queue will officially be exactly 1 month long and thus a very reasonable wait time in my honest opinion. I still have a schedule but plan to continue to keep it private as this reduces my anxiety if I fall behind. Then only I know I need to work harder and am not concerned about people waiting.

So with that, I plan to do 2 things every week. Release one YCH and open for select commissions. The commission types will vary and the openings will be small to start with until I can get an extra leg up on my queue. I will try to keep these openings on the same days each week so they're predictable but also have them at varied times so that all time zones get their chance. The first YCH and commission opening will occur this week. I'm back to the full time grind tomorrow.

Those waiting on badges, calendars and commissions, I'm on it. I have a big to-do list I've been attacking the last few days and I'm waiting on a paper order at the moment so I can get back to printing.
Finally, about Patreon. Those who support me on patreon already know I pulled my creator page a few days ago to re-vamp my rewards. What this didn't do for some reason was kick my supporters off their tiers, so please double check that, I don't want you guys to be charged if you don't want to be. Not until I get the rewards ready. I'll be working on that later today and hope to have it up in time for the USA New Year's to tick over. Again if my current patrons don't want to be charged double check or withdraw your pledge cause I don't know what's happening with that.

Hey everyone,
This is just a heads up that after tomorrow I'm on break for 2 weeks. I'm doing my best to get everything Christmas related done today and tomorrow, as well as anything I flat out promised would be done before Christmas and filling final calendar orders. But everything else will have to wait I'm afraid. I've completed over 40 commissions so far this month (including badges, sketches and icons) and I need a break, a proper one. I was going to work a couple of days in between Christmas and New Years but honestly, I'd rather use this time to clean the house, work on my body and take care of my pets.
Apologies to anyone on the December queue that I'm going to have to push back.
If I get the drawing bug I'll definitely do a little work during my time off but I can't promise anything.

JANUARY COMPLETION
No more Xmas themes I can't make the deadline.

I kinda didn't want to do this but after testing the waters with a few smaller commissions using USD instead of my local AUD I've realised something...
A lot of people, I'm assuming, have been looking at my AUD prices and seeing them as equal to USD. Or at least subconsciously seeing them as higher than they are if that makes sense? I mean $30USD looks a lot more appealing thank $40AUD doesn't it? And yet the latter is cheaper at the current conversion.

Basically, my USD prices have received really positive comments about the amounts, while the AUD normally attract the 'these are pricey' comments. Neither of which bother me or affect my prices but it's just something to take note of in business ya know?
I don't know if I'll switch entirely, I'm still thinking that one through. Mainly because when the exchange rate changes so does what I receive, and I've seen both dollars be equal value in the past as opposed to the 30% difference we have atm (good times).

I'll make the decision when the new year rolls around with a fresh price list.
I basically want this journal to be a heads up. I don't intend on changing my prices much if at all, just the currency I advertise in.

We'll see.

The support for me and my work this year has been outstanding. I know I'm not always the most efficient or hard working person. I know I sometimes let things slip or leave someone hanging, but I really am doing my very best to improve and be as professional as possible! The understanding that I'll never compromise my personal life and time off in the name of my commissions is something I'm most thankful for. Amazing clients who give me my space when I need it and also are happy to follow my bulk updates and be satisfied with that level of communication, I couldn't ask for more.

NOW, as for these icons and overdue Iron Artists.
The icon submissions went nuts, you guys need to know that haha. My plan for tackling these is as follows:
For every scheduled commission I finish I will also finish one icon or iron artist IN ORDER.
I won't be putting them on my trello because that will honestly take too long heh, but please know I have a spread sheet that automatically adds every application that I colour code in accordance to who has been invoiced, who has paid and whose icons have been completed. So every application is safe, I won't miss anyone. This way I hope to also reach those few who asked for a Christmas theme in time (honestly guys you're pushing the envelope there haha), I think I can manage it!

The 5th Annual Furries in Underwear calendar will be open again for orders on December 1st.
I can't guarantee international orders will receive theirs by Christmas so please be mindful of that as it's a busy time of year for the post office.


2018 Chibi Book of Chibis + 2018 Book of Portraits - Pre-Orders

If you'd seen my dealers table at any con this year you would have noticed and maybe purchased either the 2017 Chibi Book or Chibis or the 2017 Book of Portraits.
Guess what! I'm making those an annual thing and opening orders for both the 2017 and 2018 editions up online!
As the year has not yet wrapped up I'm still working on filling the 2018 editions but I can always open pre-orders eh? Keep an eye out.


Icon Commissions!

YES THEY'RE BACK! Last week I started developing a style for new icons that are efficient, quick, look good and can be relatively cheap for you guys!
I want to clear my iron artist queue before I open them as they'll be the replacement as the tiny inbetween other commissions thingies. So I'll be working on that this week too.
Price will be $40 AUD (which is a little less than $30 USD for those playing at home) and slots will be unlimited with no strict ETA. I have examples ready that I'll post too so keep an eye out this weekend.

New Designs and Products
