So, a month or more ago, I bought the orange box. HL2 works well, so does ep1, but, for what reason I don't really know, the game Portal continues to elude me in the aspect of actually working. In other words, the game doesn't work.

I start it up, and it goes just fine, then I start a new game, okay...I'm in the 'relaxation chamber' and have the little intro with the music, sweet...but then, it happens!
As soon as the first portal opens on the door, cue the insta-lag, the looping sound, and the freeze, and eventual crash of the game.

Um, okay, I'm no pc-game wiz here, does someone know what to do about this or what I'm doing wrong? I turned all of the graphic stuff settings on low and it still did this. I made the window smaller and it still did this. Gaaah, what is it?

GAaah!!!! first Yahoo quits on me unexpectedly, then MSN does the same!!! WHHYYYYYYY???!??!?!?!?!?!

I can't apologize enough. I've done plenty of things I regret with a very good friend of mine, and I hope he's willing to forgive me, but it's going to take a big heart for him to forgive me of all that I've done.

Some of you may have been under the impression that I was doing one of those "OMG I'M LEAVING FA FOR GOOD" deals, and while that sounds like a good idea sometimes, I'm not leaving this place. I have been feeling down lately, fairly stressed from living on my own and wondering if I have enough money and everything, and then some relationship stuff between me and a couple of folks got a bit tangled up, and I think I misplaced my school/apartment related stress on them. They probably hate my guts now.

Um, so how is everyone doing? As you can probably tell, I'm feeling a bit shitty lately, a little stressed, a little unsure, fairly lonely, a little bit depressed, and pretty numb. I miss all the friends I don't have, so (in a sad way, I suppose) you folks are all I've got most of the time. :3 So I'm sorry if I ever put a lot on you guys or if I'm a bit of an attention whore now and again.
