Hey guys, so I'm very likely putting a number of adopts up for sale soon. Things I've acquired over the years and either don't use anymore or I can't afford to keep because I need the money more than I need the design right now.

There will be a number of adopts from the following people; Beauket, Soukiadopts, Jawnpai, Andaglas, Mostlyniceadopts, Terraterrific, Hellokelsoe and more.

If you are one of the following creators and you'd like to know in advance what I'm selling please message me, I love to give the creators the opportunity to buy back designs. (I try to contact creators a head of time)

Also as a heads up, this will not be first come first serve. In many cases it will be, but I will be picky with where certain designs end up.







Last note; I may do a couple design batches I know a number of you guys miss my starmice though I honestly don't know their popularity/desirability at this point. Do people still want starmice or am I woefully out of touch? (Existential question for the day!)

Also I'll likely be opening commissions for a wide variety of things as well!

I know I announced this ages ago when I first made the account but at the time hadn't wanted to make the switch official.
The time has come and the switch is officially happening!

It'll take me a tiny bit to get it set up over there, but from here on all future artworks and batches of adopts and what have you will be posted over there.

I'm going to attempt to get a new batch of Starmice set up over there to adopt as a starter hello! These will be a bit different; I've made a new non-chibi base (gasp!). So these will be the first non-chibi starmice adopts.
I may also revamp some starmice that haven't sold yet from chibi batches to more refined designs. So if they look familiar that's why ;)

Like if someone talks to me directly about something I'll chat with them but I'm going to just slowly not start conversations anymore or lend my opinion or thoughts on journals or polls unless specifically requested.

The last couple weeks I've found when I do that I either piss people off, annoy them, or upset them without intending to. Believe me when I say those instances are 100% unintentional and it seems it doesn't matter what I say or how I mean it to come out it still happens. Even if I read it over and think to myself 'yeah that sounds non-upsetting/annoying/ect'. And I can't have people proofreading everything I may want to post to make sure my tone isn't mixed up somehow in a way I'm not seeing.

This isn't referring to any one specific incident but rather just a lot of instances across a spectrum of different people.

I know when I do write I tend to write a lot. I'm going to work on not doing that also. Considering I'm trying to not talk entirely hopefully that won't be much of an issue anymore


It hurt a lot the first time it happened and the feeling has just worsened every subsequent time its happened to the point where I feel like this is the only safe solution to avoid confrontations with....anyone. ._.

I don't like upsetting people; especially when I'm not trying to. It's been really emotionally damaging lately to know I can't talk to anyone without doing so.
So if I seem quiet, or short, or take a long while to respond, or even just plain not online much anymore, it's nothing to do with you.

I am super torn, I have plot, the beginnings of an animation experiment and stuff for these guys but I haven't touched them in months. I'm going to be ridiculously picky, but I am looking at possible offers.

I only want premade designs, no money offers. If you offer money I will ignore you.

If I don't see anything I really like I'll just be keeping these guys.






Those are the big guys I'm super torn about, but I have some other designs possibly for trade (Some of these guys might be offered as resells later, but to keep consistency I'm only looking at trades for this journal, and certain designs on this sheet will likely disappear for resells/future possible trades, I'm still torn on a few of them) But for a majority of these guys I'll be less picky.

As a lot of you have all already noticed, I've been signing all my work as sekerys, and on weasyl and DA I'm sekerys. As far as the art trinity goes FA is the only odd man out.

Soooo I'm forcing myself to get off my bum so soon I'll be making the move from here to  sekerys I'll prolly move over the period of the week or more depending on how motivated I am ahahaha. ;v;

I hope you will all bear with me through this! But I figured it'd be better to do it sooner rather than later.

I'm a difficult person when it comes to customs i'msosorry TxT

I feel we've all done it one point or another, and if we haven't we've thought of it. You have an adopt and it's been sitting unused and unloved. Maybe you fell out of love with it, maybe it was a part of an unpleasant conflict and you can't look at it without it reminding you of that bad situation. Maybe you simply feel it would be better loved and appreciated in someone else's hands, or even more dreaded you've fallen on hard times and need the cash. Either way, you're reselling(assuming resells are allowed).

How do you price your resell, specifically one you have extra art of that you've either commissioned or done yourself, and do you break down the cost of each thing as you go down the line so buyers know how you got that price? Do you put a price value on your own work? Or do you not include the added cost of commissions at all or simply not include certain pieces based on content (such as couple pieces when the new buyer doesn't have the other end of a couple)? Likewise how do you manage the inclusion of gift art?



I think it's logical when reselling that the price is a number of factors and I personally like when a seller lists the cost of each commission so the price adds up. A gift is that, a gift and shouldn't count toward the cost since it cost you nothing. I think if you know the gifter and you tell them you're selling see what price they'd put on their work and add that but then give them that cost back (or they donate that cost to you iffin you're really close and they understand but that's between the two friends, like never assume it's okay to add a value to gift art ever)
I think it's okay to add value to your own artwork added for an adopt, but to realistically price your work. (A sketch isn't worth $100 dollars unless you've had people pay that in the past, so no added 'sentiment' price hidden via your extra art)
As far as couples art maybe only half the cost of the piece since the new owner probably can't use it? And since there's two in it the cost would be split between the two for overall value?

What are your thoughts?
