Posted 11 years agoBecause this is what happens when school work piles up after a huge convention -- You have no time/effort/want to touch other things and then apathy sets in and people get sad. Been working on a partial red panda commission and school work the past week(s) and just didn't sit down to do anything I shoulda done before.

Posted 11 years agoNo, I'm still not done unpacking. I will be hopefully by next week, and that's because I have two tests and a concert coming up... then two finals the the week after next. It's suck.

Posted 11 years agoI'll be moving back to michigan for the summer, and with that my commission queue is open for traditional and crafted slots.
Freebies will be first in the queue and summer themed.
If you want digital anything and want to commission me, please be prepared to wait for a slightly longer time than a traditional time because of my tablet being glitchy so it takes me twice as long to get those processed.

Posted 11 years ago... is still messed up! Who knew! I did! But after like 7 hours I managed Shadowmander. We'll see if it's because I'm rusty with the stupid thing or if I'm just going nuts trying to make this button work. I have to for sure relearn keybinds and locations since I'm thinking it's a permanent glitch in this thing. It likes to not obey it's programming every now and then.
As far as art goes, still going to work on stuff. I'm slow. No excuse. I apologize. Just so much stuff happening in life that even during free time I just can't find the will to do anything but drink koolaid and fill my pokedex and lay down and sleep. Pretty much those things. My sketchbook is almost full with just half finished doodles, it's depressing.

Posted 11 years agoSo finals week. After my finals each day I'm going to take pen to paper and start drawing. I may try to recalibrate my broken tablet to make it somewhat usable. If this is the case, I will stream it. Leave a ref if you want something drawn. I'm going to plow through my freebies list first, and then whatever's left.
To those I owe freebies, you'll get the media that's available, lol. I really, really don't want to keep them for longer than I have since it's apparent I will not be getting a new tablet any time soon.

Posted 11 years agofor making my furry panels at Freecon a success. I *WILL* be hosting my Ask a Furry 18+ again, and I want to see if I can get a two hour slot next time.
Also thanks for the kiddos that found me at altcon. Y'all are fantastic, really. :D

Posted 11 years agoMinor update; next week is spring break. Guess who is going to be working on her newest suit that whole stupid week? Yep.
As far as my tablet issue goes... I want to severely get a new one. Mine is still wonky, which I'm thinking is from my grandma screwing with it back in december. I'll open fursuit comms in summer to get a new one. We'll see.

As an update; because it's due
Posted 11 years agoEverything in the last two weeks has blown up in my face and my tablet died. No monies. And engineering school is kicking my rear. I am working exclusively in the traditional medium right now, and as such can't get some of the digital promises out till I can get a new tablet (which I would have with FA drop but unfortunately, there was a problem and I am actually down monies).
As such I will be redoing everything I owe in traditional, with optional mailing to you, as to make it up, and then at some point I'll redo it digital (not an exact replica in digital, there will be changes).
I'm also involved in planning out Freecon, Tallahassee's original anime and nerdy interest convention, and will be running several fur-friendly and fur-interest panels, as well as an mmo gaming panel. I am also in the process of assisting putting together the costumes some of the staff will wear (as well as myself), and getting the suit done for megacon for a group I wanted to do all year, and some other costume related commissions and by the powers above and below, that is a lot to get done on two days a week.
And all of this coming up on my birthday. :/
No monies, mo problems.

So I had my raffle works next to finished right? And I was working on paper for the secret santa, right? Got up from the family computer, my tablet plugged in, mouse unplugged, flash drive (with mypaint and all my files saved on there), mypaint open and everything. I literally return 30 seconds later and I see my grandma has sat down and it trying to jiggle all the cords out of the computer and my flash drive.
Asked her not to; "please don't touch that", and since she's deaf in one ear I got steadily louder. Out of bloody nowhere my mom descends like an eagle from upstairs and starts screaming at me to let her be, she's not hurting anyone, I'm wrong BLAAAH.
I'm like "I said please, and I said please don't touch that. She's messing with my files and closed my program and *funhouse*ing up my 80 buck tablet." Meanwhile she's still bloody WAGGLING THE THING.
After I physically move her hand (mom's wailing now) that's when she shrugs and stands up. doesn't MOVE, mind you, just stands. I'm saying let me close my stuff properly and she can play solitaire, but she says she's not important enough to bother me, and these other, stupid self-deprecating things.
Mom, of course, chews me out for "viciously yelling" at dear old granny that can't be bothered to ask me if I'm done even though I've told her straight up that I will need the computer all day since I can't use my brother's. Mom leaves to work, right? Okay, now dad comes in. He's saying I should give her more respect and my tone was wrong. Okay. This is the same woman who's tormented me emotionally for 5 years. She's LOST my respect. But fine. I did say please, and I was as polite as I could be to someone who was outright ignoring me, and DEAF (on the side I wasn't on!) in one ear. But raising my voice is never justified! He did the exact same thing to her AS HE WAS TELLING ME THIS so she wouldn't piss herself because she forgot to bring her cane from the comp room!
I mean, seriously. Why am I wrong at all in this? I raised my voice for a deaf old lady with a, quite frankly, stupid level of ignorance that outright ignores me, only after repeating myself a few times as she was ruining a total of 120 dollars worth of electronics? (the flash drive is huge, and old. Ended up costing way too bloody much compared to today).
I just shut everything down properly, hoping nothing was corrupted after getting jacked out of place with programs running, and tried to get my mind off of things. I check after finishing sketches and scanning. Lo and behold, ALL OF THE ART FOR MY RAFFLE WAS CORRUPTED. So It went from mostly finished flats/shading to I now have a rough sketch needing lines (and skewed, which cannot be fixed in mypaint!) for grand prize and my mini arts are gone. So to avoid an utter meltdown I worked on the secret santa. Two days of work, gone. One thing of 5 to show for it. Yeah. Little pissy. Running doubletime while cooking for christmas tomorrow. Which is funny, considering I'm not getting anything for christmas. Parent's are deciding to get me a present for christmas and my birthday since they're a month apart. Eeeyup. All I am asking for is patience, and thank you for reading!

Also came home to some kind of crazy illness =/ I can barely stay awake more than four or five hours straight.

Holiday Art Raffle, and want input from peoples out there
Posted 12 years agoI am hosting a raffle for the holidays here. Everyone get's something! Don't be shy!
The more entries, the more prize winners, but it's the holidays so I will do *something* for everyone! And by holiday, I personally celebrate Christmas, but I will totally theme it Hanukkah or something wintery if you don't want that. I just feel like spreading the holiday joy!
Also I had this idea; I found a place that sells sketchpads 5x7in with decent quality paper, 40 sheets, relatively cheap. I was thinking I could do custom books with all 40 sheets sketched with your character(s), and maybe include like colored drawings or some stipples or some linework. I would include a sleeve for the pad cover, and sell them for like 40-60 dollars (1-1.5 a sketch/drawing so you would get a deal), maybe include some other mixed media. It's an idea, anyways. Any thoughts?
