So after the Pneumonia
Posted 12 years agoI found out how much it will take to get my cyst behind my ear will be to remove. 500 dollars is ridiculous for just doping up the site, pulling it out, and sewing it up. SO NOPE.
Also yes, I had pneumonia. SWEET RIGHT? That's why I was bloody gone for so long. I do apologize to those that I owed things on the delay.
So between the next few weeks of midterms (Mass&NRG Bal, Calc 3, Phys 1) I am...
Getting healthy and not having inflamed lungs.
Sorting out financials (still/again)
Finish out the queue.
Redo Samwise's ref. I actually like her nickname a lot, okay? And no, it's not LOTR inspired!
Working on foam armor for Lyss Siegetongue suit. Then planning on getting a norn necro done
Start working on my Samwise/Samille suit. I want to have it done so I can groom the fur to a he or a she styling, which I think I can do with some really careful shaving.
Lol learn how to rig wiring for my suit. Lyss has no need for a fan(I want to put lights in her armor), but Snowlick does have one installed (needs soldering), and since Samwise glows, I was to rig it with UV reactive fur and LEDs (possibly blacklight ones).
Upcoming cons: Fandomcon, GLIexpo(just 'cause it's in town), possibly animate!miami, and the FWA/megacon weekend which I gotta pick the one to go to soon XD (and see if I can!)
If you're in the Tally area, shout it out! I like friends! I am looking for a costuming group too, since FSU doesn't have a since costume club >< I totally want to make one but my sched is busy enough
Anyways, thought it prudent for the update

Terms of Service
Posted 12 years agoWhat I ask from you:
- A complete reference sheet. If you are requesting a ref sheet, I need complete details. Please be clear and concise!
- Make sure you are absolutely clear which patterns are random or set-in-stone.
- If you have any questions, please have them ready in a list format.
- If I forget something, please do not hesitate to inform me! We're all human!
Commission Form:
- Please read my rules carefully before sending me a note with the commission form.
- I have the right to decline a request I feel I cannot fulfill.
- Please fill out a quote form to the best of your ability, and provide any extra details as needed.
- *art only*Fill out in a well spaced list format the following information
- I will return a quote. Once you agree to the pricing, the art will be completed AS PER THE COMMISSION FORM so be sure it is CORRECT!
Payment:
- I request payment when I START the piece.
- I can do payment splits for pieces/combined purchases over $200. However, I do ask for payment at minimum to cover material costs, which will be nonrefundable. [for crafted commissions ONLY] If complete payment is not received by the agreed upon date or three weeks after completion of the item, whichever is latest, then the item will be resold or used as is seen fit by the crafter.
- I am willing to negotiate payment plans within reason below $200. This is at my discretion, but it doesn't hurt to ask.
- Payment will be done through paypal, check or money order for art. Payment will be done through check or money order for crafted pieces. The prices will be in US dollars.
- Note me your paypal and you will be sent an invoice for the agreed amount.
- I will wait for payment to clear before starting your piece.
- If client refuses to pay for whatever reason, I retain the right to do with the piece as I see fit (This applies mostly to fursuits and crafted comissions;ex. the item will be placed for auction or repurposed).
Refunds and Cancellations:
I will not refund payments unless:
1) For whatever reason, I cannot complete the piece
2) For whatever reason, client has an issue and cannot pay before piece has been started. (notify me as soon as possible!)
3) Error has been made on MY PART and piece has been completed and error was documented on WIPs.
4) Piece fails catastrophically during shipping.(This does not include acts of god)
I do not feel changing your mind drastically about what you want while I am working is means for a refund. I will, however, try to accommodate you the best I can within reason.
You DO have permission to change your mind, upgrade, downgrade, or replace your order (and keep your spot within a reasonable frame of the queue) before I start on it.
I hold the right to refuse partial or full refund to rude or insulting clients. (this is for extreme cases only! I do not WANT to be mean!)
Turn Around:
- I usually get everything done between 1 week and 5 weeks. If for any reason I am delayed due to personal reasons, I will post a journal as soon as I am able. Under extreme circumstances, I will contact each client directly to discuss time frames (in the event I have to add months as opposed to days for turnaround).
- If you have a time you need it by, INFORM ME AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. I may be able to work with it, but I may not either! We both have lives, so we much be realistic to each other.
- Suits will take between 1 and 4 months to complete. I am a college student and space and time is limited. Any rush orders may be refused or incur extra fees.
- Naturally more complex items take longer. Sorry.
- I try my best to keep in an orderly queue. I will have an active queue readily available on my front page somewhere. Please look for it.
-In the rare event that I am in dire straits, I will refuse or promote items in the queue. THIS IS NOT USUAL NOR COMMON. CLIENTS WILL BE NOTIFIED IMMEDIATELY IF THIS OCCURS.
WIPs:
- I will post WIPs in my scraps and notify you of the upload. Please do not favorite the scrap. I ask you to note me or email me of any changes that need to be done.
- WIPs may not be posted for every piece. I try to for most pieces though.
- the WIPs are for YOUR convenience. I am not required to post, share, or describe my WIPs. I post them so I know you are getting what YOU paid for.
- Major changes are subject to my refunds policy; I have the right to refuse major changes. (I will not turn the shark scene into a spider scene).
- I will give fursuit orders at least one(1) WiP of the head, feet, hands, and/or tail of the suit/partial/piece as a sketch, foam(where applicable), shaping (where applicable), and per-assmbley.
- The client has 48 hrs to respond to WIP post. Comments on the scrap are acceptable, but I prefer notes. If no note or comment is left, I will take as acceptable and continue working. If client knows they will not be accessible in that capacity, please EMAIL ME about your work.
WIPS ARE NOT FOR REPOSTING ANYWHERE. YOU MAY NOT POST, MANIPULATE, OR USE ANYTHING IN MY SCRAPS. VIOLATION OF THIS IS CAUSE FOR REFUSAL OF REFUND AND REFUSAL OF ART. YOU WILL BE BLACKLISTED.
I really do not want to do that, so please just don't touch the WIPs to avoid any mishaps.
Changes:
- If you don't like something, tell me. The only way for me to know is if I am informed.
- If I miss something that was clearly stated, I will right it to my fullest capacity.
- I refuse to redraw an entire piece. If I feel the change is very large, I may apply a fee. This is not common, but the client does accept this risk if WIPs are provided. If WIPs are not provided, I may waive the fee.
-If you forgot to mention something that must be added after the commission is finished be aware that a fee WILL be charged, if possible at all. This is why you need to make sure you provide all necessary information before submitting payment for a commission.
- My art may not be modified in any way except by me or authorized by me. (if you wish to color linework you purchase from me, that is fine, but you must RECEIVE PERMISSION FIRST)
Repairs:
- Repairs are only available for problems incurred through regular use and not through some act of god or abuse of the item.
- A problem is "any break, crack, melt, or otherwise accidental damage done through regular use of the item because of structural deficiencies or inadequacies". Repairs are NOT changes. I will not augment a design without additional cost after it has been completed.
- If some random thing happens to the item and it needs repairs, I am not required to perform them.
- I will try my best to work with the client, and if an agreement cannot be completed, I will recommend another source.
- If I accept the repair task, I will repair an item to the best of my ability either for the cost of shipping or at labor charge and shipping if I choose to and within a 3 month time from original shipping to client date.
- If I am unable to repair the item received for any reason within a 3 month period, I will return the item in its current state at no cost.
- I am not responsible for any issues, problems, or injuries incurred due to mishandling of the item.

Wow, two days since a life update? UPDATE MOAR
Posted 12 years agoI've got mah hours so, that's good. So here's my weekend plans for you:
Today, 6/12: Fur my head or make horns! I need to figure out how to make ram's horns. BLEARGH. I am going to try it Komickrazi's way first, otherwise I am going for the lowdensity sculpey (because that shit is divine).
If you guys don't know what a tauntaun looks like, here's what I'm aiming for (the arctic coloring)
Thurs: Possibly streaming art until I have to get ready for work ~4
Fri: The same until ~5, possibly doing horns too
Sat: The above until ~4:30
Sun: mom's b-day & father's day celebrations i.e. waiting for the boys to come back from a golf tourney and then CAKE and then I have no more obligations) Wow that sounded colder than what I meant. After they play, they watch golf so like I have nothing else to do. So probably going to get gloves done or work on feets for my tauntaun.
Mon: LOL IDK MY BFF JILL.
Then next week starts and I can safely say I am going to be working my butt off to get the suit done between bouts of apathy about working with this fur.
At some point I will be cleaning up my page. And my vinyl has been ordered. So yeah.
In terms of finances, after I work these hours (and get bloody paid), I will have enough money to:
pay the second half for the room for AC >_>;
pay for my AA table @ Godaiko
pay for a group of 8 individual prints of 10 pieces (8 prints, 10 pieces each)
YEP. I am open for commission work, so that's good right?
I may open up a raffle for *something* if I feel up to it next week. Possibilities include a tail, ears, con badge(s), second derivative problem worksheet, trad sketch, ref sheet, or other arts. Input yea or nae is appreciated.

Life Update 6/10/13
Posted 12 years agoSo I am working almost every day this week. /avalanche
Paypal is a health hazard because this fricking thing just WILL NOT BE TIMELY I WANT TO BE ANGRY TO IT.
I am organizing prints (read: creating the images) for the Artist Alley booth. I will be taking ~ 8 prints there.
My tauntaun is very WIPy right now. I am uploading as I go. Going to also be cleaning up my FA to look more professional.
Also. I hate tabs.
End of rant.

I can make buttons!
Posted 12 years agoSee something you like? Want me to make something you like? Let me know! Depending on the design, the price will be 1-3 dollars added on to a normal commission. (if it's a freebie you get off me, you just pay the 1-3 dollars)http://www.furaffinity.net/view/10651174/
My {I HOPE I CAN GO} Con List 2013
Posted 12 years agoSo topping it off, I don't know which ones I can/will make. I'll throw on the suits I plan to use!
Swampcon 2014 -- It was okay. Went as Headcrab Scientist
Megacon (or FWA?) -- Samille!
ALTcon -- Samille/...Siegetongue?
Freecon 10 -- Samille/Momo
Motor City Comic Con -- Samille/Snowlick [probably not showing up]
Anthrocon -- Samille!
Godaikocon -- may be showing up, maybe not. If so I'm shooting for an artist booth.

Okay, officially the Experimental Free Art journal!
Posted 12 years agoYes. Freeeeeee. I guess I'm going to keep doing free stuff to just experiment styles and forms with!
So here's the deal.
I'll do a free art(prolly sketch unless specified!), I dunno what I'll do. I just need a ref, and if you have any suggestions or anything, aaaaand....
Do something nice for me, doesn't matter what it is, and then do something nice for someone else!
Those are my only conditions! (I also retain the right for artistic expression yadda yadda yadda but yeah free!)
I'll be only taking a couple at a time, and I'll get them out as I feel comfortable.
The completion, style, and quality will be dependent on me, but I assure you I will not give you something I feel is garbage for the sake of getting it out. The minimum I promise is a sketch!
Kindness spreading is happiness spreading~
*+*NOTE: It may take week(s) to get it to you; I do this in my free time, and as practice/inspiration!*+*
*+*If you want timely arts, you have to pay for it!*+*
*+*I also have the right to refusal, but I don't know what I want to do at any time, so if you have a question about what is okay, ASK!*+*1.

The Kokoro
Posted 12 years agoName: Kokorin, plural Kokoro. Sometimes they are called skull weasels due to their affinity for mischief.
Height: Ranges from 10” to 4’ shoulder height in feral form. Ranges from 3’ to 7’ in anthro form.
Age: Cannot be determined. They live until they’re killed. There are a limited amount of them because of this. Each death spawns a lifeseed which then spawns another. Lifeseeds can be created, but it is unknown how.
Gender: They can be any gender, as their reproduction is independent of sex. An individual chooses whether to show sexual characteristics or appear asexual.
Personality: usually shy until they warm up to someone. Extremely mischievous. They obey rules to the letter but wording must be very careful(if you say “do not break this bottle”, they might upturn the desk the bottle was sitting on). They enjoy good music and long walks on the beach. Or parties. Beach parties are good too.
The Kokoro are an interesting species as not much can be known about them. The life cycle of a Kokorin starts as a lifeseed, which resembles a quail’s egg. The lifeseed hatches and a ghostly Kokorin is born. The ethereal form of a Kokorin resembles mist (colored in the same colors of the seed) which then searches for a host skull. When the mist Kokorin finds a skull, it solidifies around and behind it. If there are other bones at the scene, then it also incorporates it into the adult form. Physical attributes of the Kokorin are mostly determined by the bones and skull. Minor traits are determined by the individual(spots, stripes, mane style) and are unchangeable after solidification. Gender can be changed at will, or it can remain non-gendered. That is not a set determination.
When a Kokorin is killed, a lifeseed spawns from the corpse and returns to somewhere beyond the veil. When it is ready to hatch, it returns to this plane. Strength usually determines incubation time. It is not unheard of for the stronger Kokoro to die and return to the same bones they inhabited in a matter of minutes. Kokoro do not have a lifespan as it is unknown if they die from age or if the same population of Kokoro have been around for eternity. If they do die naturally or if they have always been around, it is unknown where the original lifeseeds came from. They CAN be killed by decapitation, destroying the heart or brain (anything else can regenerate before it kills the Kokorin), virulent poison, and traditional death (fire, drowning, crushing, etc). Respawned Kokoro keep their memories.
They are often used as companions by demons or other “immortals”(such as vampires and ancients) due to their longevity. They are loyal almost to a fault, since they do not typically bond with those that do not hold their best interests in mind. As they just respawn after death, they do not mind being used as fodder and often are willing to die for who they perceive as friends. Kokoro are understanding of betrayals (they aren’t self-centered so much as they have seen enough of sentients that it doesn’t surprise them anymore), but will not tolerate being betrayed until after they get what they want.
Their emotions are not like traditional emotions. They feel like living beings, and they can grow attachments to mortals. However, when their mortal partner dies, a Kokorin will sever emotional ties to the partner to avoid grief. They are insensitive to pain, but can fake it well to manipulate others. Severed limbs cannot be regrown if it was fused with a bone unless a new bone is used. IE. if an arm was grown around a talon, the arm cannot be regrown without another talon, finger bone, claw, or misc arm bone. If the limb was not formed around a bone, it is regenerated normally.
They have a ghost base. Kokoro may choose an anthro form, but most like to remain in a feral. Some do not even take an anthro form, some do not take a feral form. It is mostly personal preference. Size and shape are usually determined by template, but it is not rare for a rabbit-base Kokorin to be giant, or a bear-base Kokorin to be tiny.
The above applies to the average Kokoro, but individuals may vary in temperament, personal history, and attributes.

Update for Today!
Posted 13 years agoShort, Simple, to the point...
There's a totally awesome anime convention in Tallahassee; Freecon 9! It's going to be held on the FSU campus in April.
Currently Artist and Vendor registration is STILL OPEN!
Freecon is also being very supportive of fan groups and providing space to set up a fan table so there's that too;
Fursuiting is welcome too!
So I'm definitely going!
More info here!
On another note. Darksiders is awesome. The end.
