So, my Smash Bros Ultimate stream last night over at https://www.twitch.tv/skaifox was my biggest stream yet, and it was a riot! We all played Smash for hours, and everyone had a pretty damn great time.

It got me thinking - how many of you would be interested in a Tournament? Hosted by yours truly, streamed live for everyone to watch - with PRIZES!

(I'm yet to decide what the prizes would be - probably art by me? ;3)

The tournament would be hosted over on my Twitch channel, so make sure to follow me there. I'm thinking that it'd be done in best-of-threes, with standard 3-stock rules, no banned characters. Depending on how many people take part, we may or may not have a losers bracket.

My grandma peacefully passed away on 31st December 2018 while asleep. Her passing was not completely unexpected as she had declined a lot over the last few years, but it hurts all the same, and I miss her. I'm just glad she was at peace when she went, and she at least reached a decent age. She was my last remaining grandparent.

I just wanted somewhere to put this, I guess. It felt weird not to say anything at all, but a tweet didn't feel right either, so I'm just putting my thoughts here I guess.

I'm okay, the family just needs time to process things and such. We'll be fine. Not sure what else to say.

Contact & licencing
1. I need to be able to easily contact you. Telegram, Discord or Twitter direct message are preferred.
2. You can choose to remain anonymous when I publish your work. Tell me before I begin working.
3. You can post your artwork wherever you want, as long as you credit me correctly; if able, please provide a link to one of my social media accounts (Twitter: Skaifox – FurAffinity: Skaifox).
4. You cannot re-sell the artwork. Edited versions can only be posted with my permission.
5. I have the right to publish and edit the artwork wherever I need to.
6. You must have permission from the owners of the characters / designs you intend for me to illustrate.

Payment & process
7. I accept payment in US$, or equivalent in GBP£, up-front through PayPal only.
8. Once I approve your brief, I will send you an invoice which you then need to pay.
9. I accept payment through PayPal only (I will typically send invoices for USD).
10. Once we have discussed your brief, I will quote you a price. You agree to pay that price.
11. Larger prices can be broken down into multiple payments.

Cancellations & refunds
12. You can request cancellation of your commission at any time. Contact me directly for this.
13. I reserve the right to cancel your commission at any time (e.g. if you don't respond to messages)
14. Some refunds may be offered for cancellations, but only when a cancellation form is submitted.
15. Refund amounts will range from partial to full depending on how much of the work was completed up until your cancellation request was sent.
16. Alterations to artwork may incur a small fee if they are considered to be large changes, or refused altogether.

Agreements
17. Your information is recorded for a period of 6 months for the purpose of resolving potential disputes. I will protect your privacy in every way I can.

So, I know it's been about a year since I last asked about this, but I'm actually in the middle of building a Patreon right now, and I wanted to know what rewards YOU want to see on my Patreon. I want to make sure that your pledges feel like they're worth the $ that you pump in.

If you're already a Patron to another artist, why is that? Do you like any of the particular rewards you get from them? What would you recommend for higher-tier rewards?

I've been REALLY quiet here for a while. Sorry about that! I've been drawing my ass off, honest! But I felt like I was overdue in communicating with you awesome lot that watch me. <3

At Confuzzled 2016, I received 156 commissions, 150 of which were my Mystery Box commissions, that I do every year.

Mystery Boxes are commissions that I do ONLY at conventions, which combine 2-3 random words, and I have to draw whatever the combination results in, involving the customer's character. Obviously, these push me quite far out of my comfort zone, and force me to draw stuff in ways I never normally would, so each one takes a little longer than an ordinary sketch commission. Not only do I have loads of these to do, but I'm also working on other things on the side; I'm building a graphic design portfolio, working on 2 video games and applying for a job that I REALLY want, so you can see why I've been so quiet here for a while!

FAQ:

1) Why didn't you just close before you got so many??
a) I'm an idiot, that's why. Plus I was in the red in my bank account so the idea of not taking more work on seemed silly.

2) Will you be posting all of the results?
a) YES, but not on FA! I don't want to clutter my scraps with nearly 160 sketch commissions. They will soon be available to view on my Tumblr: http://skaifox.tumblr.com/

3) How far are you through the mystery boxes?
a) I have just completed no. 81, so I'm past half way now.

4) I bought a Mystery Box from you at CFz 2016, and I haven't heard from you yet?
a) That means I've not reached yours just yet. A little more time, and yours will be next on the list, I'm sure!

Next year, I'll be capping Mystery Boxes after I've reached a certain amount, instead of remaining open for the whole convention. I'm sure I don't need to explain why!

I want to thank each and every person that bought one, you're all wonderful customers and I really can't thank you enough for your patience. It's truly, truly appreciated. <3

Ohhh boy! That was a fairly long journey home. But I am back in familiar territory at last!

Confuzzled 2016 was just as awesome as always. Confuzzled never fails to impress me - the convention staff were awesome, professional, helpful and totally on point, and the hotel staff were pretty great too. And to everyone I met and spoke to, thank you for being so amazing. If you've never been to Confuzzled, you TOTALLY have to go sometime!! :D

Suiting was super awesome, too, I love when folks want pictures and stuff! ^^ Oh, by the way, if you took any pics of me let me know!! Or link me to your page or whatever :D

The furry community is the most wonderful thing I've gotten myself involved in. So many amazing people! It's just such a shame I only really see you guys once or twice a year at these things ;_;

*Points at you* You! Yes, you! The person who commissioned me at CFz! First off, thank you SO MUCH for supporting me. Walking away from the DD this year has left me with a (much needed) confidence boost this year. You're all totally awesome. I have a record of everyone that commissioned work from me, so don't worry, you won't be forgotten about!!

I will not be individually messaging people at this time. Instead, I'm going to work through my list in order and you'll be contacted if your commission is done, or if I need references/information from you! Otherwise, sit back and await your commission. I have your details, so no sweat <3

Of course, feel free to contact me ANY time if you've any questions, worries, or just wanna see how progress is going. I will be putting a progress bar on my profile page tomorrow so you can see there how far along I am.

For the time being, though, I'm gonna be really, really busy for the coming weeks. I'm taking tonight off (as I only just got home, it's 8pm and I'm suuuuper tired and ill from the con XD), but starting tomorrow I'm gonna be working as hard as I can on the commissions I received.

If you commissioned me on the Sunday or Monday of the convention, you might be waiting about 2 months for your commission to be completed. This is due to A) the volume of commissions I received, and B) I'm moving house on the 22nd of June, which will take a few days out of my schedule while I sort things out.
