Update (Contest, Stories, Question and Vote!)
General | Posted 9 years agoHey all, just a quick update!
Story contest: The story contest I'm hosting kicked off last week and I've been happy to hear about people already working on some entries! More details can be found here
Stories: Have several stories done, but I'm probably going to only post about one a week. I have a couple of trades, commissions, and a collab in the works! Also trying to get something holiday related out too before Christmas.
Question: What's your favorite species in transformation that you never/rarely see?
Vote: I'm going to be posting a story tomorrow! Would you rather I post something involving a dog, dragons, or a pokemon TFTG I did as part of a trade?
Thanks!

Skiesofsilver's TF Story Contest!
General | Posted 9 years agoHappy Holidays, TF Readers and Writers!
In order to liven up the community and have some fun, I thought I’d hold a TF story contest! What do I mean? Well, here’s the rub:
Rules:
Anyone can enter!
To enter, write a story that involves TF in some shape or form. It can be any setting, have whatever themes you may desire, involve any manner of species, just ensure you include some TF in there! The only limits are word count, time of creation, and number of entries. You’ve got 2500 (10% over this is allowed, but please try to avoid it!), so make every word count (the title doesn’t, though)! Oh, and the story has to have been written after this journal’s publishing. No preexisting stories! Lastly, only one entry per user!
Submit the story by March 31st, 2017 by putting it up on this site, SoFurry, or DeviantArt and then send me a note that you’ve written something for the contest and where I can find it. I’ll add your name to the tracker, and you’ll be set from there.
When March 31st, 2017 ends, so will the contest end. A few days after that, the winners will be announced! I’ll put up a journal and send the winners notes!
Prizes:
I will select my favorite story. The winner will receive a free 5000 (+ 50 words for every participant) word TF commission from me! A runner up will receive a 2000 word TF (+25 words for every participant) commission!
A mystery judge will select their favorite story. The winner will receive a free 2000( +25 words for every participant) word TF commission from me!
And there you go! I can’t wait to see what you all cook up with those imaginations and I look forward to reading each and every one of them. If you have any questions, let me know via comment or note!
Thanks, and, again, happy holidays!

A rare thing question + comms queue closed
General | Posted 9 years agoQuestion: What's a rare thing you don't often see in a tf story but always end up liking? Could be anything really, even a rare species!
Also, the comms queue is closed for now. I'll reopen it again when I have one or none left. Trades and requests still open though!

Update (Comms, Trades, Requests, Upcoming!, and characters)
General | Posted 9 years agoHey all, just wanted to give an update on some things.
Commissions: I re-opened commissions last week! I'm still getting some things in order, so I'm extending the timeline to express interest another week. So, if you'd like a TF story commission, send me a note! I'll have a queue soon!
Trades: I'm also open for trades, so if you're interested let me know!
Requests: Requests are also open! If you have a TF idea in mind that doesn't include OCs, copyrighted characters and might match my interests, let me know! I might just write it...eventually! No guarantees here!
Upcoming: I've got a few finished stories coming up soon, one involving latex, the other involving clones. Hoping to get a personal story done soon as well! Also working on another collab!
Characters: I've been asked a few times recently to have a certain character of mine included in some pics. If that's the case with any of my characters, let me know/share the idea! I'll probably agree, picture and theme dependent. Let me know via note or something if you'd like to do a collab or something similar too. Same policy applies!
Reader feedback: Any TF stories you readers are looking for specifically recently? Holiday shorts? More mirrors? Feral, anthro or other otherwise? Let me know!
Thanks!

Tentatively Taking TF Story Commissions!
General | Posted 9 years agoI've gotten a little bit comfortable, done some more writing on a collab and trade, so I'm opening TF story commissions again! However, at the moment I am going to only take one commission on at a time just in case things get hectic and also to stay focused. So here's how this is going to work:
-The price is a cent per word, I.E. $1 for every 100 words. I take payment after the story is complete and ready to be posted, not before or during.
-I'm only taking TF story commissions, so there needs to be some element of TF in there. There are some things I really like to write (reptiles, anthros, TFTG, mirrors etc), some things I haven't written much of/a little uncomfortable with (M/M, herms, bimbo), and some things I won't write (underage, anything related to bodily fluids/devices, vore, hyper, extreme weight gain, bestiality, things I probably haven't thought of).
-If you'd like a commission, please send me a note detailing the main gist of the story (themes, species, etc, it doesn't have to be long!), along with desired length, and any other factors/specifics you have.
-I'll take a look at your note, and everyone else's too! I'll pick one in a week or so and then commissions will close. After it's done and paid for, I (probably) will open commissions again. If you've already sent me a note previously, just remind me of what it was and I'll consider again along with the others!
-And so the wheel turns (you get the idea!)
So, if that interests you, go ahead and send me a note. Or if you have questions, please leave a comment or send me a note!
Thanks!

TF/TG Games and Such
General | Posted 9 years agoEver since I wrote and posted First Light Hotel, my first TF/TG "game", I've oftentimes wanted to create another one. This has proven harder said than done, mostly because of the time involved but also due to not quite knowing where to go next. I could always create something akin to First Light, but, to be honest, it's not really much of a game. It lacked any mechanics; there were no puzzles of any kinds, no objects to acquire...it was mostly point and transform if anything. But is that really so bad? I'm honestly not sure. So, I thought I would get some reader feedback on what y'all desire to see so I can develop my next game (ETA who knows) with audience desires in mind.
Story: how important is a storyline in a TFTG game? Should it be the main driving force for player action, or something in the background so the transformations and fun stuff can take center stage?
Mechanics: how much game do you want in your game? To be honest I find stats and inventory management distracting from the TF aspect in most games, mostly because I tend to want to experience the TFTG part over the game part in a TFTG game, but I could see how a lack of mechanics could lead to disinterest in all but the content that you prefer (say the one canine TF out of 21 other TFs in the game). Also does randomness have any place in something primarily driven by choice?
Transformed vs Transformee: why do you like TFTG games? Would you rather be the one being transformed or do you envision yourself being the one to cause the transformation?
Transformations: many transformations with seaprate, but similar smallendings or a few branching transformations that have distinct characters and endings? This definitely ties into storyline and the reason why you are playing the game in the first place, along with complexity and replayability. Both tend to lend to varied yet focused group of interest for the audience (and the writer, depending)
Types of transformations: feral? Anthro? And what Species? How much does this weigh in interest? Is being TF enough, or does there need to be more of a match?
Any other thoughts: I'd love to hear anything else you might have about TFTG games that isn't mentioned here! I know I've left something key out unintentionally, so let me know!
Thanks!

What do you want to see? (Upcoming)
General | Posted 9 years agoHey all,
I've have some steady progress with some serious writing and have developed an unfortunate itch to write something TF related...so I'm going to try to put up at least a story a month here. Also I would like to keep the ratio of commissioned TF artwork to TF stories I've written a bit more balanced. So! What do you want to see in the future? I'm already working on something cetacean related and am always willing to do so more TFTG stories.
Let me know!

Screech
General | Posted 9 years agoGuess that's a metaphorical train coming to a stop or something.
Anyways, events have come to a pretty pass where I won't have as much time to write and if I do then I'll probably spend it on something I'm currently trying to get published. Sorry for anyone looking for new stories and anyone who messaged me about commissions a couple of weeks ago. For a bit longer now I'm going to reside as more of an observer.
Thanks.
EDIT: Might put up some older stories I've neglected to post

Readership Question
General | Posted 9 years agoHey all,
As all of ya'll may have noticed, I mostly write TFTG stories and that's pretty much all I've uploaded here along with some commissioned images. While they are fun and all, I often wonder whether I've written myself into a niche, which may be silly given the vast possibilities when it comes to TF. As a result, I've been thinking of expanding my TF horizons a bit by writing some stories that are straight TF (no TG/sex change involved) or deviate in some other way from my normal fare. So, my question for you, my readers, is whether you would like to read "normal" TF stories from me in addition to TFTG, and if so what themes/elements/species you'd like to see me touch on going forward.
Thanks!

Why I write NSFW (TF Stories)
General | Posted 9 years agoHey all, I’m writing this mostly in response to a journal a TF writer that goes by Naf45 on this site, Vinomath on others due to a journal he wrote about why he doesn’t do NSFW. I’m not trying to refute or entirely disagree with him or get on his case; I respect him as a writer and enjoy some of his work. I mostly wanted to put this up because it’s an interesting subject that I think does warrant some discussion and is something I’ve thought about many times before.
Anyhow, the first part I want to talk about in response to the Naf’s journal is on why. Why do people like NSFW in transformation stories? I’d say to answer to this is actually quite simple. Transformation is all about change and new experiences, feeling strange new sensations in stranger forms. So why does sex come up? Because it’s an experience and the sensations could be different depending. I don’t really consider it that strange that someone might wonder how it feels to fly like a dragon as well as, well, fuck as a dragon, not to mention if you threw some gender shifting in the equation which adds in all sorts of other things that, yes, are all NSFW. They’re explicit, they’re raunchy, they’re pornographic and…people like that. Yeah. It’s erotic. Now, is that necessarily realistic? Is the first thing on someone’s mind after they turn into something else going to be sex? Maybe! It depends on the situation, but realistically probably not. This is transformation, however. It’s pure fantasy.
Moving on, now comes the question. Why do I write NSFW transformation stories? The honest answer? I’m weird. Yeah, yeah, I know culture and society sets expectations and blah blah, but by societal standards I’m strange. Not many people sit back in their chairs and often think: “Hmm, you know what I might want to write about? A guy. Yeah, a guy and there’s a mirror and in the mirror is a hot lizard babe with boobs and curves like a woman except she’s a lusty lizard lady and then the guy turns into the lizard lady, masturbates with his (or her) tail, and then loses her mind so all she can think about is fucking. Sounds fun!” Or “You know what, let me write a story where I put the reader in the position where they are in the story and they find something that causes them to have bad dreams expect the dreams are reality or are they but really they are and then they get pushed into water by Lovecraftian cultists and get raped by tentacles and turned into a female dolphin before being impregnated with eldritch young. Fun!” You probably get the point. Now where did I ever get the idea to actually write this down and share it? From browsing too much on sites like there and wishing there was more lizards TFTGs or more feral dragons TF stories (heh) and I thought there were some really crummy stories out there so I just…wrote them. Ok, mine were crummy at first too but I tried. But wait! Where did my transformation fixation even come from in the first place? Hell if I know. Calvin and Hobbes maybe? The transmorgrifier? And what about the gender shifting that so many of my stories contain? No, I’m not transgender or anything, I just like the darker side of things and if total alteration of form includes shifting gender too then why not? Then why is it always MtF? Now we’re getting a little off topic here, but I digress…
Why do I write NSFW transformation stories? Because I’m strange and my serious, SFW writing can’t always scratch that deviant itch that lurks inside me. This actually brings me to another thing Naf mentioned is that he doesn’t like the idea that some people just read to masturbate. In all honesty, that’s not what I like to think about it either. When I’m writing a Mirror Peer I’m not thinking about how many people are going to jack off to it, but in all honesty that’s probably what a lot of people do unless the story doesn’t satisfy them then oh well. However, the truth is that the sites where I post my content like FurAffinity and SoFurry are porn sites. Ok, there’s SFW content on both and not everyone goes on for the porn but most people do. I mean, just look at the majority of the content. So when I submit something here I am aware I am submitting porn. I am aware I’m contributing erotica and that people are probably going to masturbate to it. Oh well. It’s not an image I’d like to keep in my mind especially considering who the majority of my audience is, but it’s just part of the trade I guess. Remember, I’m weird.
Anyways, does that make my stories less legitimate? Is porn art? I don’t know, but I write TF stories. Erotica, but still stories that mostly focus on transformation. I guess it’s the story part that’s the most important because even I’m surprised by readers’ responses sometimes. I laugh off comments about how sexy some themes are or whatever because I really didn’t need to know that, but the responses that really vex me are ones where people are oddly attached to characters I’ve written. Like I said, erotica but still stories. So, I’m mostly mentioning this because Naf said he wants to be remembered for his stories. Well, I think even if you write NSFW stories you can be remembered for your…stories. Hey, this even surprised me honestly. Readers of my stories have brought up fond remembrances of plots and characters of something I was sure readers would masturbate to and forget. Like Mirror Peer, a series mostly about guys changing into lusty lizard ladies that are often lesbian yet some readers are invested in the plot. Did I think that would happen? Not really. Did I want it to? I guess sort of because I put the plot elements there in the first place.
Lastly, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with writing NSFW stories for a NSFW site as long as you realize what you’re doing. Also don’t let it become an obsession. Fetish is one thing, fixation is another. In addition, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with writing SFW content for a mostly NSFW site like Naf does. It won’t get as many views unless it’s really, really good and you won’t ever, ever see me put any actually publishable material up here, but good for them all the same. Do what you enjoy doing as long as it doesn’t infringe on someone else.
P.S. As an addendum I recently hit 500 watchers and so I wanted to do a request raffle of sorts for ya'll. Anyone is eligible to enter, the journal with more information is here ! Check it out!

What do you like to see in transformation stories?
General | Posted 9 years agoA while back I asked all of ya'll why you read transformation stories. Now I'm wondering what do you like to see in them whether it be extreme detail in the actual transformation or specific kinks or a species or whatnot. Thanks!
63 Ideas
General | Posted 9 years agoJust a brainstorming session
Fakeman inspired me to do between commissions:
1. A lone camper frightened by nearby howls finds comfort when the apparently threatening creatures welcome him/her to their pack in a friendly way.
2. A usual return home after a long week of work turns out to be anything but when familiarity fades away along with the tired worker’s usual form into a wyvern’s abode, R&R is earned in another way.
3. A royal’s wish for strong heirs turns out awry when they are granted a gravid draconic form to achieve the goal.
4. A user of an experimental VR device is the first to encounter the corrupted Cobra Code.
5. The moon’s lingering presence has an interesting effect on a usually sunny town.
6. An abhorrent man made to walk the plank is greeted in the ocean by a pod of male dolphins who insure his life at a price.
7. A meeting at a coffee shop between a man unchanged and one changed brings up old memories, nostalgia, and the question of how it actually feels to be altered and whether it’s all worth it.
8. A diver finds a strange machine underwater that takes him to another, ancient aquatic time and adjusts him to it.
9. A lack of sleep leads a person out into the night and to nocturnal nightlife that solves his sleeping problems forevermore.
10. A magical shop’s owner goes missing, leading to an investigation by local police on an ensuing series of magical mishaps
11. A knight, his mount, the damsel, and dragon find their roles switched around due to a mischievous fairy.

Future and reader feedback and suggestions
General | Posted 10 years agoAlright, I admit that when I first returned I wasn't really sure if I was going to stick around too much. However, events have been going well so I'm going to stick around. Thanks to everyone who has welcomed me back and thanks for the all the support!
Moving on, I've a couple of commissions left but I'd like to hear what ya'll want to see from me in the future. I'm going to be posting mostly only TFTG stories of course, but I'd still like to know what other themes and subjects ya'll might want to see me explore. As always, I'm taking suggestions too, but no promises. Thanks!

Why do you read transformation stories?
General | Posted 10 years agoI know it's kind of a personal question but I think the answers are surprisingly varied. So what causes you to read transformation stories? Images of the subject are often more appealing and popular but there's a steady readership around the Internet. I suppose it's nothing new what with the Greeks and all but I suspect some of the reasons are far different nowadays. Anyways, thanks for anyone who reads/answers!

Conclusion
General | Posted 11 years agoI've posted the last couple of commission I got before I declared my hiatus. Rather than that being a sign of my return, I'd like to let you all know I'm finished posting and (eventually) browsing here. Thanks and farewell.
