What program is the best for capturing screen images? I've heard Fraps, but does anyone have other suggestions?

What site is the best? Do they allow for adult? Do they allow password protection?

Do people prefer to talk to the artist or for there to be music playing? How do you get both without drowning one out?

Thinking about starting this as a daily thing, just wondering people's thoughts.

The Flogging Molly concert was great. Since it was at Summerfest, there wern't actually seats and there was this angry old guy who wouldn't share the bleachers (he faceplanted partway through the concert and we got bleacher seats anyway). Summerfest had upgraded since the last time I went, and they now had screens. Very helpful. XD Got a big too close to a mosh pit. Broke a toenail. Moral of the story is not to wear sandals.

Took the little girls on an adventure to the Milwaukee County zoo (I think this is like the -only- zoo I remember going to consistently as a child. Though I do remember bits of the zoo near Louisville.). They have a new summer exhibit where you go into a giant bird cage and feed budgies. They ranged from yellow to blue and were just adorable. XD

Also went to see The Hangover. Oh-my-god. This movie. It's a little slow starting out, but there are some parts that are just -gold-, the 'photo showcase' at the credits, 'iko iko' and Mike Tyson for no discernible reason, and the little kids with the tazer gun.

Spent the weekend up near Milwaukee.

Saw Transformers this weekend (Did you know it was based on true events? Lmao, I love that one armed tickettaker at the Ridge.). I have to say, while I wasn't bored, its certainly geared towards boys- boobs, giant robots, explosions, epic battles.

The only gripe I really have is that they can make -every- little bit of the transformers move, and they spend most of the fight scenes morphing and punching and aren't color coded. Sometimes I had a little problem determining what part went where and what exactly was happening.

Going back up to Milwaukee this extra long weekend- Friday-Monday. Totally going to see Flogging Molly at Summerfest Saturday night.

Oh yeah, art block is broken. If I owe you something, expect a bit of work to be done on it.

After not drinking caffeine for almost six months...not to drink two mountain dews back to back and expect to go to sleep.

I'd like your opinions.

-I got into a little art slump. Not a horrible one, but it seems to stretch to all creative things. I can't even really knit, either. I've been forcing myself to do little things, just to keep myself from not doing anything at all. Hopefully finishing a few knitting projects and drawing a few doodles will smack me back into a productive atmosphere.

-Went to the Harry Potter Exhibition downtown a few weeks ago. It was shiny and didn't really help me with wanting to draw anything but Harry Potter stuff. Lol.

-Next weekend I'm going up to Milwaukee to help the mother-in-law move. I don't know how much help -I'll- be. I'm sure I'll mostly be wrangling my babies while the men do all the work.

-The weekend after that I'm also going up to Milwaukee, but for Summerfest, in particular, going to see Flogging Molly on Saturday night. If anyone else is gonna be going, you can try to find me in the large crowd of people and the beer kiosks.

Still sick, but getting better. Mom brought me some saline when she came over and that helped my nose quite a bit. *thumbs up*

Babyless for the weekend, going to a party (if I'm feeling good enough) tomorrow night. Arts will reappear once I actually don't feel like I need to overstimulate my mind or lie down. Sitting hunched over somewhere drawing is just not appealing at this point in time. And with how I work, I get sucked into it for hours on end and that would probably only make me sicker. *thumbs down*

Ah well, a bit of downtime never hurt anyone.

Back from Wisconsin, but I developed a headache earlier in the afternoon that has developed into full on aches by this point in time. I finally took some Tylenol and it seems to be dulling down the effects. :D Woot.

This 'ailment' seems to be going around the household, so I'm not surprised that I got it and I know I'll feel better if not by tomorrow, at least by the next day.

Bleh.

Also been working on an Art Trade with  story-teller-hikari, it's in the process of being colored.

Ember, my one year old, is burning up so I'll be keeping an eye on her, giving her Tylenol and cool baths all day, so that she feels better. My friend- http://massive-destruction.deviantart.com/ - is coming over too. Then I'm going to the Milwaukee area for the weekend.

Been having a good time drawing. While I was uploading every day for a week or so there, seeing less artwork doesn't mean that I stopped drawing. I sent a few to a commissioner, sent one to a friend for a collaboration, and have a few sketches in the works that have not been seen.

The more I use the tablet that I share with my husband, the more interested I am in using it more often. The problem is, he works full time at a gaming company and the tablet itself basically camps at work. After fiddling in Sai about a week or two back, I've asked for the tablet a few more times since then, but since he requires it a work, I hardly see it, and the nights he brings it home, he's usually using it.

So, I would like to start saving the money I make from commissions in order to get a tablet of my very own. Not only would that make it so I could get on and stream (like so many others), it would allow me to do more digital works and stop relying fully on my markers (which are also expensive and run out far quicker then I'd like sometimes).

So, I guess I'm going to be saving up about $350 dollars in order to get the tablet that has caught my eye.

If anyone wants to commission me, just send me a note or comment, either works.

While I do check out everyone's page, I hate leaving generic, cookie cutter 'Thank you for the watch' comments about as much as I hate getting them (which is a lot). I know some people expect them, and some people loath them, so, I figured I'd just say hello in a journal entry.

A few basic things-

Motivation is somewhat lacking, sorry to everyone waiting on art. I can't really bring myself to do much of anything for longer then 20 minutes.

Okay, so I just need Blood Harvest and Death Toll on expert to get the bloody achievement. Everytime I seem to play Blood Harvest, I get stuck with idiots who cannot handle the finale (Not that it's that easy).

Umm... All I have is Left 4 Dead, PoP and Ninja Gaiden. I've only been playing PoP. So, don't expect me to play L4D with any of you yet, unless you want to tote about a screaming girl who can't shoot anything.

Ah, well. I don't really want that much.

1) Yarn! Any type, any color, I can figure out what to do with it later. I have a knitting OBSESSION/ADDICTION.

2) Amazon gift certificates. I love to read. And in loving to read, I get the inkling to read books that my local library doesn't carry. And in getting an inkling to do so, I don't want to wait for them to get it, so I'd much rather get it myself. And that requires... Circular logic. I really want to get the Le Comte St. Germain series as well as a few other things. A copy of Phillipa Gregory's stuff would be nice, seeing as ... the library is always out.

3) Gift art! I hardly ever get gift art. Like, once every six months maybe and it always makes me squeeeeeeeee madly.


As for what I've been doing? I've been knitting prezzies like a madbeast. I've finished part of my mom's (she's obsessive and wants baby booties for something so I gotta finish those since she needs them by January anyway), finished my mother-in-laws, finished something for my brother-in-law's girlfriend and finished something for my grandma. I still have 3/5 people I'm planning on knitting for, at least. Once the hectic holidays are over, I'll get back to my regularly scheduled arting.
