My take on role playing
Posted 9 years agoRole playing is awesome if you are into it, but make sure the other person you are trying to do it with is up for it too. Please do not start doing shit like: *kisses and cuddles bird* WHEN YOU DO NOT KNOW ME it makes me so uncomfortable and not want to talk to you ever again. I may say something like: *puffs up* as a nice gesture but trust me when I say: I DO NOT ENJOY IT. Cuddling, hugging and other G-rated actions are okay, but if you start saying things like: kissing, boob touching, ass grabbing, etc. It is not okay. Just like how it would not be okay to do it in real life with no social cues telling you to do so.
I've been in the fandom for give or take 6 years now and I've met a lot of people along the way - I know furries sometimes lack social skills. But that is no excuse for taking fictional actions with someone without them saying its okay. It is so easy to get caught up in the fantasy that goes hand-in-hand with the fandom but do not forget that there are real people on the other side of the screen and they may not want to be talked to like that.

But that is no excuse for taking fictional actions with someone without them saying its okay. It is so easy to get caught up in the fantasy that goes hand-in-hand with the fandom but do not forget that there are real people on the other side of the screen and they may not want to be talked to like that.

I finally changed my icon. Fat burd is fat.
Anywhore small update:
-Relationship with the Combat Engineer is phenomenal. He is more than likely going to be making the CF pistol team and I'm so proud!
-Quit my job. Oh nose. Gun store drama. Gonegonegone. Last day is this saturday. Oh well stuff happens.
-A week from today is the one year anniversary of me buying my horse which is awesome.
And that's that.

-Work sucks. Probably leaving soon. Who knows.
-I'll be entering my first competition in YEARS. And its a dressage show. Ohgodohgodohgod.
-Been shooting a lot more and I've made HUGE improvements. Kicked ass last week and outshot everyone in my relay at 300 yards with iron sights. Boo. Yeah.
-I'm a moderator now on
I just watch over the Convention section and moderate the chat box but still freaking awesome and I'm so excited for this opportunity.

Damn Internet (update-ish)
Posted 12 years agoSo my internet has been sketchy at best for the past month and it is for sure 100% gone now due to us taking the satellite off our house. Long story short the internet provider people bullshitted us about how the trees around the property were blocking the signal when in reality there were far too many people and too many different companies using one tower that there was so much interference that no one has internet in my area. Soooo that's why I've been even less active lately. Which I'm honestly not complaining about, I've been incredibly down for the past couple weeks for a whole slough of reasons and the only time I ever feel like my old self is when I'm with Roo. So I've been spending as much time as I physically can with him lately because I would much rather focus on working towards next year's showing season than my own personal hell.

Posted 12 years agoThe past couple weeks have been insane. I was recently hired at a local firearms store and I absolutely love the job, I work with some great people and I get to play with guns all freaking day long.
I also purchased myself a phenomenal horse. I cannot praise him nearly enough, he is everything I was looking for and more and I truly believe that once I learn to trust him we will go far. It sounds too good to be true, which it is. I had him checked by the vet today to find out he has what is called "Hunter's Bump" in other words it means that he hasn't been using his hind legs like he should while being ridden and has created an injury which for the most part is permanent. He is fine, it only means that him and I are very limited. So we will not be able to show in as advanced classes as I would like, I cannot exercise him for long periods of time, and I cannot gain too much weight (YAY! Reason to not get fat). And to add to the stress of finding a treatment plan for him I am searching for a new barn, which is unfortunate because I do love my barn but it has been made clear to me by the owner that she has issues of her own that I'd rather not be around.
And, finally: After over a year Phreddy and I decided to call it quits. I really don't want to talk about it since it is a touchy subject with me but everything in life happens for a reason and I truly wish him the best of luck with everything.
So yeah, that is all that's new with me.

I had a massive fiasco yesterday. I am in love with this stunning mare and I spent the week running over my finances making sure I can actually purchase her, I listened to my parents and manpanion on thinking before contacting my coach to buy her and when I went to the barn last night primed to get the process of purchasing her ready I found out that she was sold only the day before. I was beyond disappointed, boarder line heart broken. She was beyond phenomenal and we could have gone places. But alas things happen for a reason. I did contact my coach and tell her that if the sale falls through I'll buy her on the spot. So if it happens, yay! if not then I tried.
But this did teach me that I am ready to take the massive leap and purchase a horse. I am sick of being bounced around onto different lesson horses and not building a trusting relationship with either one. Well I did stick with one horse for months but his owners took him home last week so I'm stuck with either a gelding that doesn't listen or a pokey horses that just go through the motions. Yeah, not a fan. So I'm looking online, contacting sellers and hopefully soon I'll be a proud owner.

And they talked a bit about a weird descendant of a Mongoose called a Fossa, it's pretty much like a mini Panther that'll fuck your day up… But not. And holy shit balls I wanna cuddle it as it rips out my jugular. But yeah I have the sudden urge to make another feral character with it, but I don't wanna be "that guy" with a bajillion characters. Posted 12 years agoIt looks like my con schedule is gonna get changed for May. I found out that my next riding lesson is cancelled next week so I'll be able to go to Fur-Eh on Saturday and Sunday (well 100% on Saturday, Sunday depending if I'm lazy or not) but since my next lesson is cancelled the make up lesson (which is actually just a tack seminar) is on May 18th which was the day I was planning on going to Ota Fest. I weighed the pros and cons and decided to stay home and go to the tack seminar. I'm pretty bummed out about not suiting but I do plan on turning this whole horse thing into a career someday and will use every advantage I can get.
Soooo sorry guys who were hoping on seeing me at Ota but at least you'll see me for an extra day at Fur-Eh… Well provided you are going to Fur-Eh and all…

Firearms rant

See now this really pisses me off. I am a responsible firearms owner and treat them with nothing but respect and I hate it when the actions of a few people affect the rest. The Spruce Grove Gun Club is facing closure because residents north of the range have found a couple stray bullets. The only way this could ever happen is if people are shooting high, which you learn while taking your Possession and Acquisition License course is to think about where the bullet will land, if it isn't going to hit your target then you don't take the bloody shot. If you cannot control your firearm and shoot it properly then you should be using a smaller calibre or not shooting at all.
Contrary to what some people believe: firearms are dangerous, even lethal. People need to grow up and think before they pull the trigger.
If the county really does shut down the SGGC imagine how many more bullets people will be finding in their yards when people are forced to shoot outside of the range where there are not proper back-stops set up.
