Surprise! I didn't completely disappear from the earth.

For various reasons, I kinda fell outta being a furry for a while- I won't go into the details!
Eventually I started trying to draw again- something I never really did as Skizzy- under the name RubberFrump. I was mostly doing human stuff, and didn't really feel like carrying things over for various reasons, but I'm kinda at the point where I feel totally comfortable allowing my Skizzy days to fully come back!

So, I've started a Telegram group chat thing! The general idea is that it's a 24/7 chatroom for those interested in meeting others in this little latexy TF community of ours~ As much as I'd like to leave an open invite link here on FA, it'll be a little easier to keep trolls out if we have a minor screening process- If you want to get into the group chat, just PM me on FA with why you want in! I'm not a scary person to PM or anything, so feel free to send that PM now~ c:

As for why we're using Telegram instead of Skype or Vent or Steam group chat or IRC, it's a mix of things-
For one, there's a mobile app! Obviously, you can turn off notifications and sound alerts for group chat if you don't want to have your phone buzzing constantly, but I know that there are many of us that would like to have a constant line into a chat like this. While skype and steam work on phone, they tend to absolutely eat through data like nobody's business. Telegram is a bit lighter, to my understanding.
Also, while a vent/discord/whatever server would be neat, I always find from my time in SL that as soon as there's voice, anyone not speaking in voice gets completely left out of any discussion. For a weird kinky group like this, I could see a lot of people not wanting to talk, so... let's move on.
Additionally, something like IRC is absolutely ancient, and can be really intimidating for those of us that are less technically inclined- so while it's really the ideal thing, it can be a little too archaic sometimes.
Lastly, Stickers! As I'm sure you've all been seeing from various artists, you can make custom sticker packs in Telegram, and that's always kinda fun. :>

So my friend  ryan-pawz is in an odd situation, after the passing of  jasentamiia. He had a comic that Jasen was working on, similar to myself, that will sadly remain unfinished now.
It's a nine page comic about his pony character volunteering to become a mannequin at Rarity's boutique when she finds herself one short. The progress Jasen made on it can be found here: https://trello.com/c/tEwdzy5r/136-t.....-comic-project

He's looking for someone willing to line and color the remaining five pages of the comic, as Jasen only finished the first four pages. The remaining five have been sketched, but that's as far as they got. If you'd like to help out, send him a PM! He's willing to pay normally for the work, which consists of possibly refining the layout sketch, lining, and flat coloring. As for all the textboxes and dialogue and such, I can help out with that, to take a little bit of a load off.

I'm planning to do another dump of all the art I've commissioned over the past few months, putting them in my gallery as per usual. Quite a bit of stuff this time, roughly twenty things, give or take. To help me not go insane this time around, I'll probably be uploading it all in little pieces throughout the day. I guess this is just a heads-up for those who read journals, but also i want to address something.

So, as I'm sure anyone who watches me knows, I commissioned a good amount of things from  JasenTamiia, who tragically passed away recently. I'm not good with eulogies, so I won't try to write anything too long winded- but even though we only really started talking in the past few months, I'll miss him considerably.

In this coming submission dump is eleven pieces that he did- there's also three WIPs that he didn't get to finish before his passing, which I may attempt to finish myself before posting, though I may post the WIPs as scraps beforehand. Either way, I just want to reiterate that, as usual, I had his permission to post these commissions to my gallery.

Anyway, sad business aside, other news! I'm trying to draw a bit more, especially with  HelixJack, who's been helping me with an update to Skizzy's design for 2016. We even managed a way to work in both color schemes from my previous journal~ More on that later~

Additionally,  Redflare500 and I have been sharing weird and wonderful TF ideas back and forth lately, and they've introduced me to Drawpile as well, which is totally fun~ I may start posting some of my resulting doodles in scraps or something. x3

Lastly, I've been having fun poking around with Telegram lately. If there's enough interest, I figure it would be fun to get a regular group chat on there with other kinky/rubbery/TF people? Jasen had started one a few days prior to his untimely passing, but sadly the invite link didn't get passed around that much outside of his streams, so it's not very active. It would be nice to have a place for people to chat with others though, as I find I'm terrible at meeting people outside of group settings, like stream chats.

Anyway, Happy new year and all that!

So, I've been flailing about lately on this- I'm getting a more up-to-date reference for Skizzy- First off, She's gonna be able to shapeshift in the future- I've been wanting to do more inanimate TF pics, so it kinda fits somewhat. Additionally, I'm considering adding glasses, but I'm not sure on that. (I wear glasses IRL.) Additionally, I'm going with the hairstyle I've been using for her lately as the 'main' hairstyle, rather than the twintails. Don't worry, though, the twintails might not be entiiiirely gone. x3;

The main difference, though, is that I'm leaning towards a fairly massive color change- Skizzy is White and Blue right now, but I'm thinking of changing the white to be black. It looks a little less cutesy, but since she's always rubbery, the white doesn't show highlights very well.

So, I guess the question is... Should I? Maybe it should be some kinda alternate color scheme that I only use in certain situations? Maybe Skizzy is White and Blue most of the time and can shapeshift, but when she's Black and Blue she can't shapeshift, as some kinda indicator of a 'permanent' transformation?
Any other ideas are nice.

The idea would be to just be streaming for FA peoples, so it could be an easy place to chat about rubbery furry nonsense while I play whatever I play. Naturally, I couldn't stop any other people from coming in, but hey!

Would probably be using Twitch or something, unless anyone has a better suggestion!

Is it just me, or is there an abnormally high number of birthdays this time of year? Like, I looked it up, and supposedly it's fairly evenly distributed, with a few percent more in September/October/November... but... it seems like it's muuuch more than a few percent, just going by people I know- almost double any other time of the year. Maybe I'm just aware of it because my own birthday is this time of year.

In a related note, I always feel weird telling people when my birthday is, because I tend to feel like announcing my birthday is like some kind of notification for everyone that they should be buying presents for me or treating me special- and I don't really like a ton of attention in that way. Anyone else get that feeling?

Maybe it's just that I've had a few online friends for whom that was absolutely the case, now I feel like me telling people my birthday is going to make me look like the way I saw said people who were just begging for gifts. ><

So, as you've probably noticed, I tend to hold off on posting any art I've commissioned for a while, then I'll post about ten or so images all at the same time. My thinking on this tends to be that I want art to be solely on the original artist's page for a while, so that they get all the recognition- as much as I can say "this was drawn by _____! Go favorite the original one here! *link*", people will still favorite my uploads, or even ask me if I'll draw them. x3;

So my question is whether or not my skizzy art dumps are annoying or not. I ask cos I've got one coming up, with around fifteen images or so. The alternative, moving forward, would be to put up art a week or so after I get it- though honestly I tend to be bad about remembering. x3;

So- ten to twenty images all at once every few months, or an image or two every week or two?

So, I've got a couple commissions that aren't skizzy related whatsoever that I have permission to post, but I don't really have anywhere that I can post them currently, as I mostly use this account to post artwork that is directly related to Skizzy. There are a few exceptions, where I've posted some Stripe Shine related stuff, but... should I just put everything here?

Additionally, A long time ago when I started using the name Skizerz on things, I always had the names "Rawk" or "Rrok" and "Paypur" etc, to make a Rock/Paper/Scissors thing outta Rawk/Paypur/Skizerz.
Recently I've been putting more thought into this and planning on making a Rocket and a Paypi to go with Skizzy. Should I start posting art of them here, too, or should I be ridiculous and have five separate FA accounts: one for general, non-character art, one for Rocket art, one for Paypi art, one for Skizzy art, and one for Stripe Shine art? I currently have the Skizzy and the Stripe Shine accounts, and already it's a little frustrating how often I miss messages because people send PMs to both accounts. x3;

TLDR: I'm gonna start doing stuff with two new characters that have to do with Skizzy, where should I put them? And where should I put art that has nothing to do with Skizzy?

I've never really bothered with FA jounals, cos I never really felt like I had much to post here, but... With all the art I've been commissioning and posting to FA, I've kinda been getting a steady influx of watchers! Already passed two hundred and fifty, in fact! That just blows my mind that there were that many, considering that I basically don't post any original content.
