A holiday message.
General | Posted 8 years agoTo all my fellow Americans, I want to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving.
This holiday may be emotionally and historically charged for some, and as someone with Native American heritage himself, I can certainly understand the reasoning behind it being so. However, I look at this holiday not with a historical or emotional lens, but from a more modern one. In today's America, it seems to be that the prevalent mindset in the majority of folks is to get what you can and screw everyone else around you. So to me, having a day set aside on the calendar to remind people, if just for a day, to look up from their phones and at those around them, and be thankful that they are there, can't be bad thing.
We could get into a huge discussion about the many things that are wrong about this holiday, and many of these discussions are not without merit, but for the time being I would like to remind you all about what this holiday should really be about. Looking to the many things you have, the bounty in your lives, and those around you, and being thankful for it all.
So, once again to all my fellow Americans, and to all my friends overseas how may or may not observe this holiday with us, and to our neighbors who did so a month earlier (Thanks for cutting the turkey before we showed up, buddy!), I want to tell you all that I'm very thankful for all of you. Your smiles and your comments, your random shouts on my page at times that almost goes to prove you're all telepathic and know when I'm having a bad day, the laughs we all share together, and the shoulders to cry on when I have needed one, I am thankful for all of you most of all.

Well, I just bought out a stream and am getting two pictures tonight. The first one is a fun little piece, but it's totally clean. And I can't have that, can I? I need someone that's willing to loan me their character to pair with Skylor in an erotic little number.

I mean, if there's a North American one, goes to figure there might be a South American on eventually, right? Maybe Africa, Europe, Asia, Australia...but don't ask me to do Antarctica. You can ALWAYS get your penguin fix in South America, they've got them in the southern tip.

Thank you all for your amazing suggestions, and all of your votes as well! I really, REALLY couldn't decide on which species to do and you all helped out so much in making that series of difficult decisions disappear.
And all your work pays off, because not only do I have the winners for you all, but I've decide to expand the series a bit and just add in the ones that tied AND add one for good measure! This series is supposed to be a camping trip over three days, so now we have three visits a day!
Yep, NINE species will be featured and here they are!

While I certainly prefer females for this, I am willing to entertain the idea of slipping in a feminine looking male (cause I ADORE a girly boy). So, if you've got one of THOSE and you'd like to see them in this, speak up and let your voice be heard!
So, if you'd like in on this, just comment below with the species and your character references and I'll note you about details.

"After working his ass to the bone and not taking a vacation on his own, Josie has more or less kicked him out of his own club and forced him to go take care of himself. So, after a day or so of milling around, Skylor thinks of a short list of things he hasn't done in a long time. Things he misses doing. And the only thing on that very short list that he really wanted to do was go camping. Life off the land a bit for a few days.
After packing his belongings and kissing his dear sister goodbye, he heads off to his favorite place at the foot of a nearby mountain, deep in the woods. After setting up camp and relaxing for a few hours, he hears a rustle in the woods. No time to get up and see what it was, though, as he's attacked by some of the local wildlife!"
Problem is, I love so many of the species of North America that I just can't choose! So I'm letting YOU guys choose! Read about it all in the journal linked below!

General | Posted 9 years agoAfter my last journal, I've gone ahead and decided to start a new series for your viewing pleasure. And thanks to the one suggesting it, I know it's general theme. Let me take you all on a short ride, shall I?

That's a general brief for the idea, but it all boils down to Skylor out in the wooded areas of North America, and having a series of North American native species visiting him for some fun. This series will be sketched only, cause I really like the idea of it being on the "rougher" side, drive point the roughing it nature of camping. Sounds like a fun idea with a few moments for humor mixed in (Particularly the end, which I already have thought up), but I still have a problem...
I love so many of the species native to the wooded places in the US, Canada, and some of Mexico, that I can't decide which I would want featured! That's where you guys come in!
What species would YOU like to see in this new series?
I'm planning on this series being about ten pages. An intro page with Skylor saying his goodbyes, one of him relaxing at his set up camp, and the planned on at the end. Everything else in the middle will feature a different female creature from the area.
So, I need seven species, but there are some rules to follow.
1. You can suggest/vote on as many species as you would like, but please don't get carried away and list out the encyclopedia of NA species or something.
2. Please list each species in a separate comment. Newly added rule in a logical place, cause I'm a dummy that didn't think about it. *laughs*
3. All species MUST be North American natives. No Salt Water Crocodiles, Tigers, etc.. Perhaps another series sometime later.
4. If you would like to suggest a species, but it's already been suggested, just reply to the original comment. That'll be our voting system.
5. If you ARE a member of one of those species, feel free to drop a ref if you'd like to be included. I may ask you to cover the "Add a character" price, depending on the overall price of the piece.
6. If there are multiple refs offered for a single species, I'll host a tie breaker sort of thing in a journal, again allowing the watchers to decide.
7. All characters must be female this time around. Might do one later for the femboys out there.
8. No insects or spiders. Sorry, but I'm trying to keep this mammals, reptiles/amphibians, and avians for now.
9. Lastly, all species should be wild animals. Nothing against domestics or anything (I am one, for the most part), but I'd like this to be a "Welcome to Nature" sort of thing.
That's it! I'll leave this going for a week or two, so as long as the journal doesn't say "Closed", it's still open for voting or suggestions!

General | Posted 9 years agoHey, everyone! Since I'm doing a TMI Tuesday journal, which I haven't done in a long time and can be found here, if you'd like to ask a question, I thought I might ask another of you all.
Since Drunken Shenanigans has more or less come to an end, there are a great many things I can start commissioning. The problem I find myself with is that, while I have a notebook FULL of ideas, I don't want to just get things that I'll enjoy seeing. I'd like to mix that all in with ideas, themes, pairings, etc., that YOU would all like to see too!
So, I'm gonna open it up to you guys to let me know what it was that you enjoyed most seeing, or things that you would like to see more of with my commissions. Is there are particular picture in my gallery that you liked, and would like to see more like it? Is there a pairing you like, or would like, to see more often? How about a general theme or type of content that you don't think I get enough of and you'd like to see?
Well, drop me a comment below and tell me about it. Who knows, maybe you might end up volunteering yourself for something. It's not like that isn't unknown to happen when it comes to me.

General | Posted 9 years agoNot a year goes by that, sometime at the beginning of November, that a certain friend notes me to harass me about posting about my birthday. "Some people want to know," they say. "Some people feel left out if you dont tell them. Why not give people the chance to wish you a happy birthday?"
The guilt goes on and on until I finally post a journal, so I'm going to head them off this year.
My birthday is November 25th.
Now, I mentioned that this was important if you also have a November birthday. While heading this friend off this year, I've also thought about what they tell me. Particularly about the birthday wishes. Who doesnt like hearing someone say "Happy birthday"?
So, this year, I want to say it to everyone that shares my birth month. If you want a little happy birthday from a ferret, post below with the day. And if anyone else wants to wish you one too, this would make a handy list, don't you think?
