Is anyone watching me going to be at AnthroExpo in a couple of weeks?

I was doing some tweaking, minor stuff, on my page and noticed my watcher number. Figured that there's probably a good chance that there might be a couple of you that planned to attend. Got me wondering if I might be able to meet some of you wonderful, fuzzy folks while I'm there.

So, if you're gonna be there, drop me a line! Maybe we can grab lunch or something!

Just been thinking about things as I relax and collect the next batch of images for posting. Usually when I'm doing the latter of those, I'm also flipping through a notebook I keep around to jot down random ideas that come to mind. Sometimes those flesh out a bit and become stories (far too many of which are on the backburner and I need to swiftly kick myself in the ass on finishing some of them), while others don't.

Not to say the ones that don't flesh out are bad ideas, they just don't really strike me as going anywhere very far. They stay "single moments" whereas you need many different ones to become a full story. However, those single moments DO make great material for pictures, and a great many of the pictures that are in my gallery started their lives in that notebook.

But, I was thinking as I flipped through and looked at the almost random nature in which the ideas are written, maybe I should narrow things down some. I'm not going to start pruning the notebook, cause I don't think I even could, but there is something I CAN do.

I can ask all of YOU what sorts of things you've enjoyed seeing in my gallery. Which characters, which scenarios, particular kinks, or maybe things you would LIKE to see but haven't seen yet. And as I thought about it, it struck me, maybe that might be that bit of a kick to the seat of my pants to dust off some of the unfinished stories too.

So, what say you all? What have you enjoyed seeing? Who's your favorite character and why? Is there something you'd like to see or see more of? I'm dying to hear from you all and talking about it with you!

First off, it's been a HELL of a long time since the last time I wrote a personal journal. I have to say, first and foremost, I'm sorry for that. I really should be reaching out to all of you guys a lot more often. I mean, you're all great! Why WOULDN'T I wanna reach out to you all as often as I can?

Well, I've got some ideas on that. I'm gonna be try a few out here and there and see what you all think of these ideas. Throw it at all at the wall and see what sticks, you know?

This being the case, I wanna lay down some ground rules for comments around here. Don't worry, it's not all bad things, it's not all "don't"s and things like that, I'll even start with something positive!

1. I FUCKING LOVE COMMENTS! This doesn't just apply to these personal journals, that's the submissions too! I know quite a few of the artists I work with come by and read the comments too and SO many get a warm, fuzzy feeling from the things you all say. I do too, so more of that!

2. I welcome everyone to reply to each other if you have something to add. I only ask that you all do so in a kind and respectful manner.

3. I will not ban or block someone for having an opposing point of view, provided that it is offered in a calm, well thought out, polite manner. I want to listen to you all, really listen, but it's hard when it comes with a dose of static.

4. This goes mostly for the submissions,but even though I'm not flying the banner, I'm open to "Creepy Comments". Just try and reserve them for MY characters instead of those that belong to others that might be featured. Just because I'm cool with it doesn't necessarily mean the other person(s) might be.

5. I can be absolutely self deprecating when it comes to my humor. PLEASE don't assume I'm actually feeling down unless I state so, but I'll try to keep that sort of content off here. I just like taking the piss out of myself sometimes.

More or less, just be kind, rewind, aim the creepy comments right, and have fun!

I shall end this with a trial of a sort of journal I want to write. I did these a bit ago in a long form, but I never really got a lot of feedback on them. So, guess I'll start small and you guys tell me if this is something you'd like to see.

You know what's really getting my goat lately? Why did so many artists decide, seemingly as a group, to just STOP adding "Sound Warning" to animations they post?

I like to control my volume, because of how I have my set up, through the video players themselves and there is nothing more jarring than clicking an animation and then being BLASTED with some loud ass soundtrack.

I have speakers that can wake the dead connected to this computer. My neighbors don't have to call the cops on me for sound complaints, these things are loud enough that they just go ahead and dial 911 for them. I swear, I'm probably half deaf just from the sudden blasts from these animations.

Anyone else a bit twisted over this?

I mean, a REALLY long time. Way too damn long, in fact, and I'm feeling the itch.

So, if you've got female characters that would like to have a bit of fun with a ferret dude, post em up with your idea of a good time. Extra points if your characters share a few of my kinks (for info on those, check out the folder for my character), but this is mostly gonna run on the simple "whoever's character catches my eye" basis.

Gonna leave this open for until Friday the 28th at about 7 PM Central Time, so lots of time to think up an idea.

Not sure who's gonna do the work, but I've got a short list of maybes on it.

Been a while since I had a personal journal update. Guess I haven't really had much going on I felt was worth sharing. Just the same old same old, you know?

But, hey, I finally decided that I was gonna take care of myself and stop worrying about who might call in at work if I took a day off, and set up an appointment at the eye doc. Been a while, my glasses have been causing me some headaches for a good little bit, and since I drive for my day job, figured getting the eyes taken care of was finally something I couldn't put off any longer. And hey, I'm getting older, eyesight usually starts going a bit with age, so need to take care of the peepers, right?

So, yesterday, I got with them and had an exam done. Trying to go as cheap as I can with my insurance to let it take as much of the brunt as possible. Those of you with glasses/contacts KNOW how expensive this shit can get.

First off, I've realized how long it's actually been since I was in to get the eyes checked. Apparently they do retinal imaging now as a common practice. Insurance wouldn't cover it, but hey, nothing like having a record of retinal health seeing as I work in dusty ass environments that can include metal particulate in the air, so I paid for it.

The doc was awesome and he and his staff were quick as all hell and very knowledgeable. Nice to know that I don't have hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol, or the risk thereof on any of that. Apparently the retinal scan was a really good idea, cause 30 bucks saved me like...300 doing the same thing at a GP.

Second, shocking bit of news that I wasn't expecting. My glasses REALLY needed replacing, but only because my eyes had actually gotten BETTER. That was what the headaches were all about over the last couple years, plus the old ass lenses covered in micro scratches making them a bit hazy. Was NOT expecting that, and apparently it's another sign of the general good health I've kept myself in according to the doc. And I thought I treated my body too much like an amusement park.

*laughs*

Only bit of news I got that was bad was when I went to go pick out some new frames. Wanted the same brand and general shape, cause they are old as shit, but still serviceable, and I want that sort of durability in a new pair. Well, seems my frames are SO out of style that no one really makes them like that anymore, particularly in the materials and fit I was wanting. So, slight change of styles. Bit more squared out that the ovals that I like, but they still looked nice. Just gotta wait 7-10 days for processing at the lab, then pick them up.

Now, I was expecting this all to run about $150 by the end of it, cause with a new style change, need new sunglasses clips, stuff like that. Doc cost me 40, figured I'd spend another 110 or so for frames, co-pay on the lenses, extra coatings and shit I actually need, stuff like that.

Turns out, my insurance covered a LOT more than I was told, so all told, I walked out of there having only paid 65 on the doc and the actual glasses. Couldn't stop myself when I got home, I jumped online with my scrip and ordered a pair of scrip sunglasses to wear at work and outside. STILL didn't pay as much as I was budgeting even after that, so good day yesterday.

Just waiting for them to get finished up, that's all. Happy ferret is happy.

So, I'm grabbing a two character sketch from  hanazawa tonight in her stream and I'm gonna need a partner. BUT, I'm all out of ideas (ignore the terrible lie), so here's what I'm gonna do...

Tell me what you would do to me, this guy here and I'm gonna let Hana decide which one she finds most fun. That one is gonna see that thought brought to life!
