Commission prices and TOS
Posted 12 years agoPrices: (explanations further below)
$10 base price
add $5 per 2,000 words
add $2 for privacy fee
How to commission me:
When I make a journal opening for commissions, send me a PM with your idea - characters, general setting, situation, etc.
Mention whether you want a "short" (<2,000 words), "regular" (2,000-4,000), "large" (4,000-6,000), or "huge" (>6,000 words) story
We'll talk, and if I confirm I'll send you my PayPal address; send me the $10 base price up front and I'll start your commission
When I'm done, I'll send you a PDF of your story, post it (unless you wish it to be kept private), and invoice you for the rest of the commission price
Writer's rights:
Respect for what I say I won't or can't write. I'm willing to take on a large range of things, but there will be things I'm uncomfortable with or feel I don't have the ability to do well. For an example of the former, I won't do (non-vore) snuff, and of the latter, I think I'm far from the best person to go to for an F/F story.
Full ownership of the work - I will keep a copy, post it, and potentially use it as an example of my product (though will forgo the latter two if you want the commission to be private). This is why I'll send a PDF and not the DOC.*
Recognition in the case of reposts.* If you post the story as a PDF, as copied text, or from the DOC*, please give credit in the description.
Commissioner's rights:
Timely return of the commission. Expect roughly 1 week per 2,000 words - I would be quicker, but I have school as well, so I hope 1 week per size level is a fair balance. If I'm late, I will reduce the invoice.
Size forgiveness - I write to a complete story before I write to a world limit, so it I happen to go a bit over the originally agreed-upon size level (<500 words over) I won't increase the invoice.
Satisfaction compensation - If the commission is clearly wrong in some way, or if it has taken noticeably too long to complete, the invoice will be completely dropped, and you have the right to request a full or partial refund of the down payment OR an extension/reworking of your commission OR compensation in the form of a new short story
*Repost request - After receiving the PDF of your commission, if you wish to repost it with the original text (i.e. not posting the PDF or a copied version of my original post) you may request to also receive the DOC of your commission.

Updates + raffle
Posted 12 years agoHi all! I know I don't use my gallery here much anymore, but that doesn't mean I've stopped writing! Not by a long shot! Progress is being made on Ember Tails and All in Time. I realized the other day that I've been a bit too focused on producing something for each Vore Thursday, though, to the point I don't have a non-vore story showing on my SF profile page at the moment. So I'm taking a bit of a break from Cain's story.
I've mentioned doing commissions in past journals, and I'm slowly edging closer to actually offering them. I kinda want to do a per-word or per-page pricing, but then I thought it would be really hard to let a commissioner know beforehand how much they'll be paying, since I'm not to the point yet where I can write to a word-count target - I just write to complete the story. So would people think it's a good idea to, at least for now, just start with a low, flat fee?
Now, a raffle you say? Yes; while I'm not going to be posting vore today, I'm giving people the opportunity to appear in a vore story - basically a YCH, except I'll just RNG who appears as opposed to making people bid. The premise of the story is that the pred is unwillingly (though eventually pleasingly) forced to cockvore the prey by the prey (i.e. the prey is very willing). If anyone interested in either slot, post your character ref below, whether you want to be the pred, the prey, or either, and maybe a blurb about your char's personality. You can post multiple chars, but I'll reroll the RNG if both the pred and prey slots land on the same owner.

Uploads, Skype, and Dear Santa
Posted 12 years agoHi all!
I've been able to do a little bit more writing than normal recently, so by the end of the week I'll probably upload some of:
--An intro to my king cheetah char Sky "Ara" Aragon.
--A quickie based on this awesome vore IA I got from Pokegraphy
--An update to Ember Tails
--There's also the (small) possibility of updating On the Flipside or finishing a psuedo-sequel to my piece for LinkinMonroe's March Madness Writing Contest...
Any updates will of course be to my SF page since I can't stand FA's (lack of) literature interface.
A quick 'hi' to everyone who's already added me on Skype - been great talking with people - and I'll just restate that anyone who wants to talk to me (Skype, Steam, or other) should just note me and ask for my contact info. =-)
As a note, I'm fine with RPing at any 'rating' level - you can check my F-list for details - but my default "mode" is "just chatting" as opposed to "RPing", so if you want to RP with the tiger instead of chat with a modest and introverted grad student, let me know up front or make the shift obvious while chatting. X-D
Alright, I saw this hit a few furs' journals about a month ago, and decided to wait until it was solidly December to do it myself. So here we go!
~Step 1~
Make a post in your journal containing your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple to really big. The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
If you wish for real-life things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where folks could get in touch with you.
~Step 2~
Surf around other lists to see who has posted their list. If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream for free--do it. You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy! Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call. There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special!
~Step 3~ (added by me)
Spread the joy even more by sharing other furs' wishlists too - maybe your watchers can't grant your wishes, but they can help someone else! 'Tis the season of giving, so let's try to get as many wishes granted as possible. =3
Okay, so here's my list:
1. Time. (Not to live really long; just extra time in the week so I can get sleep, hang with friends, and get all my school/research work done while still having free time to write)
2. Gift art of any of my OCs or my fursona
3. Gift art depicting scenes from any of my stories
4. More RPing practice, both with simple murry-purry stuff and more involved creative writing
5. Collaborating with someone on a story/comic project
6. To be able to go to a con (preferably near me, e.g. Fur The 'More) with some of the furry friends I've made here
7. To at least know what it's like to have a partner, even knowing that finding "the one" on the first try is near impossible
8. A partial or full fursuit/murrsuit
9. Some toys - naughty like BadDragon, vorish like DragonMaw, or just fun like Furoticon ^.^
10. More openly gay politicians & pro athletes
And here's a list of other lists for you to browse:
1. Derelict: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/5238278/
2. thewolfguy5: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/5238332/
3. rusticdragon20: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/5238341/

I caved....
Posted 12 years ago...and got Skype.
Yeah, I never had Skype before. I never really saw the benefit... I mean, I prefer IM to video chats anyway, laptop webcams suck, and I in general don't like signing up for new accounts on things in general.
But I was informed the other day that Skype actually has an IM feature; it also apparently syncs with Microsoft accounts, and I already have a hotmail account, so... Yup.
So if you feel like chatting, go ahead and note me for my Skype (or Steam) info. I'm not the most talkative person, so don't take it personally if I don't say much to you! I just don't usually have much to say in general. X-D But I do like connecting with people! Honestly!

What is it about Thursdays??
Posted 12 years agoOf all the submissions that hit my message center, at least 20% of them come in on Thursdays. I almost want to say over 25%, but that's probably an overestimate. Either way, it's well over the expected 14% per day of the week. Today was the worst yet, I had almost two full pages of new submissions! That's around 70, when on normal days it's less than 20 - often less than 15 - though Thursdays often have at least 30. Seriously, people, why do you like Thursdays (the days when I'm out of my apartment 8am to 10pm) so much???

Change of focus
Posted 12 years agoEven though it's been less than a week, I think SoFurry has definitely replaced FA as the place I want to the hub of my own creativity. The writing community is much bigger - SF is just so much nicer to writers, as a website and as a gathering place. I still think FA will be the place I go to for art and for the vore community, but in terms of uploading my own stuff, SF is just so much nicer. It also allows for using teens, which FA doesn't. I'm definitely not into cub stuff, but I do really like high school romances. So yeah, I may still upload some stuff for FA, but SF will be my story hub from here on out.
Spring Break Update
Posted 12 years agoSo my gallery's been really quiet for a while, yes? Sorry about that.... second semester grad school's been tough, and I've mostly been working on my biggest upload to date.
It's the first chapter to Ember Tails, a Pokemon story that follows the main couple (male Electrike and female Vulpix) from middle school all the way through to adult life and parenthood, covering several struggles such as a car accident and an unplanned pregnancy. The first chapter is HUGE already - 50% bigger than my current longest submission, making it over 120% bigger than the next longest after that - and still not complete. It's just getting to "the good part" (quotation marks important) now - which, I realized earlier today, means I won't be able to upload it anyway once it is done, per the AUP. ^.^''
Oh well. I have several other spring break projects, so I've taken a break from Ember Tails for now and will work on some other things, (including this,) so hopefully there will be some new stuff to read up by the end of the week. =-)

Time for a meme! My age when I...
Posted 13 years agoFell in love?
Haven't yet, unfortunately...
Lost your virginity?
Haven't yet, unfortunately...
Lost someone close to you?
Haven't yet, fortunately!
Consumed alcohol?
13*
Only if you count communion wine, though. Otherwise, 22.
Received a kiss?
Haven't yet, unfortunately - at least not a non-familial kiss.
Went to the hospital?
6?
I actually don't remember if I was hospitalized, but that's when I got HSP (Henoch–Schönlein purpura). That was a BAD week/month/however long it was (I was too young for me to remember exactly).
Had a broken heart?
Haven't yet, fortunately!
Came kinda close once, but you can't have your heart broken if you weren't really in love in the first place. (I think)
Lost a pet?
15 (might've been 14 or 16)
Sally the Russian Blue; she was about a year older than I was.
Got arrested?
Haven't yet, never done anything arrest-worthy, never plan to.
Broke a bone?
Haven't yet, fortunately!
Got a job?
22, kinda.
I helped as an "intern" at my dad's company for the two months between graduating college and moving to my grad school town. Didn't apply for the "position", didn't fight anyone for it, but hey I got paid. And I apparently helped quite a bit, at least according to dad's boss, so that's good.
Got a boyfriend or girlfriend?
13, maybe.
We never officially called it a relationship, and I realize I never fell in love, but she and I became close friends quickly, we were viewed as a couple by many, and we enjoyed doing things together - although we never went on something you might call a date until her prom. See large paragraph below.
Went to a concert?
8 or 9
Trout Fishing in America
Met someone famous?
Haven't yet, unfortunately...
Got in a car wreck?
5 I think?
Less of a wreck than a fender-bender, though, that much I remember.
Dyed your hair?
Haven't yet, and never plan on it.
Flew on an airplane?
Too young to remember exactly. Less than three, I'd bet.
Went to another state?
Too young to remember exactly. Less than two, for sure.
Got a tattoo?
Haven't yet, and never plan on it.
Had a piercing?
Haven't yet, and never plan on it.
Smoked pot?
Haven't yet, and never plan on it.
Smoked a cigarette?
Haven't yet, and never plan on it.
Went to Disney Land or World?
10
Disney World. I don't really remember it, but we went again when I was 13, I remember much more of that trip. We stayed at the Animal Kingdom resort.
Had a long term relationship?
15?
The girl mentioned above moved halfway across the country after my freshman (her sophomore) year, and that's when we started regularly conversing over IM since we couldn't talk during school anymore. I went to her prom that next school year; she came to one (two?) parties I had at my house that year as well, and since her family had done the move while she had been at a summer camp, my family came to the camp's "family day". So even though we kinda started two years earlier, I view her moving away as when we started really acting like a couple, oddly enough. We kept up the long-distance relationship until the summer after my freshman year in college, when one of her college friends won her. That hurt a bit, but I realized that while I liked her a lot I had never really been in love with her. Being gay makes it hard to really be attracted to a girl... *sigh*
Dated somebody of another race?
Haven't yet.
Passed outfrom drinking?
Haven't yet, and never plan on it.
Were dumped?
19...
Though only if you count the questionable long-distance relationship mentioned above.
Haven't yet, unfortunately...

Well THAT was frustrating....
Posted 13 years agoI noticed the other day that my older submissions had suddenly stopped showing on their submission pages. Apparently FA's recent update made it that, instead of replacing special characters from text files with those question-mark-diamond symbols, the entire files were just rejected. So I just spent the past two hours combing through my earlier submissions for the wayward apostrophes and quotation marks that transferred from when I was originally working in Word.... Ugh, my brain hurts. @_@
Anyway, if anyone else is wondering why some (but not all) .txt documents are no longer showing, that's why.

Saw this in an add while browsing FA earlier. I really like the idea of this project and made a contribution myself. You should too!

Furry Con - not what you think
Posted 13 years agoThis hit my Facebook news feed just a little bit ago:

It's an furry con, yes - an academic conference with all topics related to the furry fandom. I'm honestly interested in seeing if I can get a seat in the audience, considering it's in DC. Thoughts, anyone?

[Help] Character age suggestion
Posted 13 years agoThe other day, I had a short, basically-single-scene story idea hit me (which is rare, all of my story ideas seem to be at least several chapters long, hence I almost never get around to finishing anything) and I got the chance to flesh the idea out a bit more today. The thing is, I'm not 100% confident I picked the right age for the two characters. I want them to be old enough to recognize attraction, desiring time and simple physical contact with each other, but young enough to still be mostly innocent about it socially (and not have sex on the mind yet). So I've thought about making them sixth-grade or so. Too low/just right/too high?
Looking for two vore images
Posted 13 years ago1.
Comic, no color; I think it's a fox and a duck, but not entirely sure. Both feral. The fox is banging the duck, then when he finishes, she turns around and eats him. The description mentions something along the lines of needing fuel for the long trip south.
2.
Comic, no color; two male dragons and a bunch of preyfoxes. One dragon is bringing the snacks to the other, though at least one fox ultimately goes down the first dragon's cock. Last image is positioning for or the beginning of an anal vore scene.
If anyone recognizes these images and knows where they are, let me know, since I can't find them through the 'search' feature for the life of me.
