General | Posted 12 years agoIs anybody else having a problem not being able to do any of the 'This weekend only!' alerts for the new stuff, or is it just me?
I want to like this game, but I've had to submit a ticket for just about everything I've aquired so far and it's starting to really piss me off. I understand it's in beta, but even beta games shouldn't fuck up almost every mission/alert.

I'm having a big change with my commissions. As it was, commissions were a temporary solution until I could get back on my feet again. That isn't going to happen for a while. And with my current workload and prices, it's a downward spiral until my system finally gives out and I'm unable to do them at all.
To that end, I need to treat commission work as a full time job. Prices will be higher, ques shorter and hopefully things will get done a lot faster.

General | Posted 13 years agoGot my computer fixed up and working again, though it wiped out my meager savings to do it.
Turns out the heat sink, CPU and RAM were toast. My Motherboard was shorting out, but that got fixed and my graphics card is on its last legs, though still not gone, so I'm still using it for now until I can afford a new/cheap one.
All in all, I think just about everybody was right. >.>

computer problems. Need some help.
General | Posted 13 years agoMy computer is fucked. I'm at my wits end trying to fix it, and I could REALLY use some help.
This started with my five-ish year old LCD monitor. It would have lines and it would occasionally go into sleep mode and not come out, but nothing a reboot couldn't fix. Except last week when it shut off while playing TF2, it didn't come back. It would stay in sleep mood even when I would restart. Everybody I talked to thought it was the backlight finally giving up the ghost.
A week and a commission drive later, I have a new LED monitor. It worked fine the first day, but at the beginning of the second day, it forced itself into sleep mode and wouldn't come back. It's doing the exact same thing.
Here's what I know:
-cables are new and connections are firm. Graphics card is secure and clean.
-it SEEMS to work in safe mode
-turning off sleep mode in power management doesn't work. It still goes into sleep mode.
-rolling back drivers and reinstalling directx doesn't work.
-reseting BIOS doesn't help.
-virus scanners come up clean.
