Nervious as hell about this but its bound to happen
General | Posted 15 years agoWell since I got my tail ive know that my time will come to let my family know about furries and me being one.
my parents know I got a package this week at my house since they came by while I was at work and threw it in the trash and I doubt it will be long before they notice the tail in my closet.
Anyway I called my brother, hoping to see if he can give me advice on how to tell our parents about it since im nervous about this since I doubt they will understand. Anyway my brother fortunately already knew about furries (apperently there was a girl at his High school who wore cat ears and sometimes painted whiskers on her face, although to me it seems that girl was probably a Neko) anyway he thought it was strange and seemed embarrassed when I mentioned my tail and wearing it around in RL (I have no reason to be embarrased to wear my tail in public sometimes). Unfortunately for him I didnt mention my partial fursuit coming in summer (Im imaginine a massive facepalm from him when he finds that out) and didnt mention my specific species, all in all it went better than I thought.
My parents probably will find my tail this weekend and ask about it, I have some good ideas about how to explain it and ofc ill leave the yiff and such out (I dont yiff and am quite opposed to those who do) I want to get it out there so its not harder later on when my partial does come.

First time "fursuiting" in public
General | Posted 15 years agoSo I got my tail recently but wasnt able to wear it anywhere cuz of work busyness (although I brought it to work and showed a few co-workers :D)
Anyway I got back from a meeting and had to run to grab some stuff from my local Walmart. I decided to slip my tail onto my belt so I could have it on. Even though this errand lasted about 15 minutes in the store I wont soon forget it.
It is Winter here in Minnesota so my coat covered 1/3 to 1/2 my tail's length but plenty still was showing that you could tell it was a tail.
When I was walking in and grabbing my cart there was a African-American family with 3 children also grabbing a cart, when 1 of the boys noticed me he immediately poked his sister in the shoulder and pointed at me, upon seeing the tail the sister loudly said "COOL" and the third child looked and was fascinated with my tail.
I proceeded down the main isle and going into the grocery isle, as I went into one of the isle the guy I went by noticed my tail and complimented me by saying "Nice tail" (Thanks :D)
I finished shopping and went home and im excited to see what tommorrow holds when I pay a visit to my local mall wearing my tail.
