Troubles with submitting..
Posted 17 years agoOkay, I don't what's wrong, but every time I try to upload one of my stories, and then preview it, the page its on either says that the file couldn't be downloaded, or when I do successfully upload it and preview it, the dta is either corrupted or unreadable. So, sorry if you're getting a lot of error-messages. Please, just bear with me for a while..

Posted 17 years agoOkay, yeah. I've finally broken down and bought the World of Warcraft Battlechest. You know the one. The one what comes with the game itself, the expansion pack, and the player's guides for both.
I'm not yet able to start playing for a handful of reasons. First, I don't want to download this game on my roommate's computer; it's slow as fuck-all.
Secondly, my own computer--which is better than my roomie's--is back in California, half a country away, and not to mention, in storage. Joy.
Thirdly, I has no interbutts of my own. Yeh. I'm a mooch.
Fourthly, I know my PC--the one in storage--doesn't have up-to-date software or hardware, so I'm going to have to upgrade and/or overhaul and/or just buy one custom, just for playing WoW.
Lastly, I have a job. You do the math.
Of course, I know what server I will be on. So if anyone is on the Shadowmoon server,in the Horde, and in the Assault Guild, you'll be getting a new Blood Elf ally sometime in the future.

Stop saying words and think about them instead
Posted 17 years agoI had a random thought at work, or rather, a word just jumped into my mind, and sat there for a moment, waiting patiently until I was able to focus more fully upon it.
Against a flat black background, in white, lower-case, Times New Roman letters, was this word: detergent. It had me puzzled. Why would I just randomly think of the substance with which I clean my clothes?
Thinking about it as my body kept working autonomously of my mind, I got to wondering, where did the word come from? The presence of the prefix de- tells me that it is a thing that takes away something else.
My question to myself was: what, exactly?
Tergent? Is there such a word? Is there such a substance? And if there is, what is it comprised of? What causes it? Can something become turged, in that it needs detergent to become detergented?
Think about it, won't you?
