So, I'm a bit drunk and am in a fairly creative mood. Shoot me some ideas! The one I like the most, I'll do! Quality will range anywhere from a simple, unrefined sketch, to full color blahblahblah. This isn't first come first serve, I'll draw whatever idea I like the best/think I can handle.

Seriously, I haven't really drawn in too long, and part of it I think stems from a lack of obligation.

So, someone trade with me. BTdubs this won't be first come first serve. Either post what you want here or in a note (if you want your idea private) along with a ref of the character(s) (yes, I'm willing to to a couple characters depending on complexity). If I like the idea/characters involved I'll get back to you ASAP! Sorry if it makes me sound elitist or something, but you'll get better work out of me if I like the idea/character(s) involved.

Title pretty much explains it all. Over the better part of the past months I've been using my phone to browse the internet. If you've ever done it, you know how exceedingly tedious it is.

It is for this reason that I have only left a few traces of me being alive. Because of this, I have 2194 submissions, 39 comments, 1128 journals, 35 favorites, and 16 watches.

Most of which I have read/viewed, and some of which I've left comments on. However, let's just say I love the Nuke button =P

Anyway, thanks for the faves and watches over these past months.

On a side note, I'm working on a new character with somewhat vibrant color scheme. Hopefully I'll be done by the end of the week.











Ah, it's good to be back.

...after reading a few journals having to do with FA's read-only mode.

I had the knowledge in the forefront of my mind that there ARE no new submissions. Then I clicked to see if there were any, anyway.

Derp.

So, several things are in order, sadly art is not one of them.

First off, I finally got a car. It's a 1985 Chevy S10 Blazer, it has roughly 8850 miles on it, and (this is the best part) I got it for free! I'd share the details on how/why, but I'm tired of telling the story. The short version is, it's a birthday present from my Aunt.

Which leads me to my next point. My birthday is in about a week. Specifically the 9th. My family and I are going to Spirit Mountain Casino to celebrate. My Mom's present to me is tickets to Cheech and Chong (live at the casino), so I'm really looking forward to it! Also, like always, I don't expect a bunch of gift art, if any, just a simple shout saying 'Happy Birthday (or hatchday if you prefer)' will more than suffice! BTdubs, I'll be turning 22.

Next on this list of updates. I got a PC! It's pretty much refurbished from a friend of mine, I bought it off of him for $45 bucks. It runs well enough for what I'll be using it for (which won't be much), and it uses XP as it's OS. The only thing that's missing from it is a monitor. Gonna check the local Goodwill tomorrow for an LCD monitor, as I don't want to shell out $150+ for one. I would hook it up to my TV and use that as a monitor, but I don't have a VGA cable long enough to reach.

And last but not least, I'm gonna be moving out within the month. I have a few options, but nothing concrete yet. I'll finally be out of my folks (by folks I mean Grandparents and mom) house.

TAKE CARE EVERYBODY.

When I take on commissions, I go on the policy of half now half later. Usually the 'half now' is after the initial sketch is finished, the 'later' comes in after it's all finished. Generally once it is done, I'll wait for the money first before I send the finished product.

I do this because time is a gamble for me when working on stuff. Sometimes, I can churn out a full blown project in just a few days, sometimes it takes months to churn out something simple. Because of this, I don't want to take people's money right away and possibly have them wait for months.

On the other hand, when I buy art, I have no problem paying all up front, although it still isn't my preferred method. It is because I work on a simple principle of 'I won't give you any more money until prior services are rendered, including but not limited to more commissions or donations'.

Although it does irk me to see people who I commissioned over half a year ago take on more commissions finish them (rinse and repeat) without word on mine, I still have faith mine will get done. I mean, I don't want to bug people about it, because I understand it as I kind of explained it earlier.

On an unrelated note, I've been pluggin' away at art. Just finished the 2nd of a 3 piece project today, the 3rd of which will most likely be finished sometime next week. I've also been working on some giftart for someone else. The gift art will be posted whenever it's finished, the commission however, will be posted once the final piece is finished.

Also, while it's still in my mind (because I'm still not sure if I'd be up to it). If I attempted the iron artist thing, would there be any interest? I'm thinking $3 for a somewhat refined sketch (an extra $2 for flat coloring). This would be mostly to give me practice, and make a couple bucks on the side. However, this wouldn't be until AFTER I finished that commission.

In other news, I'm all but cured of my cold. I owe it all to OJ (Simpson, lol, JK), rest, and several PILLZ!!! Because I stole them... From Louis... Because he is always takin' mah pillz.

So, it's been about 2 weeks since I posted a journal, crazy huh? It also kind of seems silly that after 2 weeks, I still have a 'back' journal up =P

Anyway, updates. Been very busy lately. My family and I are getting ready to move out of our house, to a new house across the street from one of my good friends, though, he doesn't know it yet. My grandparents took a look at the house this morning, and rented it, pretty much on the spot. Hopefully, this will mean I won't be paying $310 out of my monthly earnings. I doubt I will be paying nothing, but who knows?

This also means we've been going through our house and packing up all of our stuff, for a little more than 2 weeks now. But, not only are we packing things up, we are also going through our stuff, trying to figure out what we want to keep, and what we want to put in a garage sale.

So far, I've gone through my closet.. I still have a lot of work to do...

However, we are only planning on renting the house until the end of September. This means, we will be moving once more, and, it is official. At the end of September, we will be moving to Arizona.... It's gonna be a long drive. Hopefully, I'll have gotten my License by then, as my permit has already expired once, and I had to get it renewed.



Art-wise, I've hit a bit of a slump... Every time I have tried to draw something, I am terribly dissatisfied with it, and delete the file. This mostly has to do with things that I normally wouldn't let get to me, but because of RL issues breaking me down, those things did get to me. I don't want to say what they are, as I don't want to dwell on them, but it's kind of like 'Fat Bastard Syndrome'. You know, he eats because he's unhappy, and he's unhappy because he eats? Something similar, but more complicated is going on in my mind, having to do with my art...



Now, some questions/other stuff.

I've been thinking about getting the movie 'Bolt' recently, but I don't know. Any of you that has seen it, is it any good? Or is it just another CG kid's movie?

Okay, I think that's about it. I need to go through what's under my bed, and when I'm done, I'll try working on some art.

And to make sure of this, I am now going to throw away popcorn that I got at the movie theater last Sunday!

Seriously, I've been munching on it since then, and I fear that if I keep doing so, I'm gonna get sick @,=,@

And, since I'm writing this, I might as well give all of you that care a life update.

I'm doing good. Been really busy for the past week or so (hence the lack of art). Tomorrow morning, I'll be leaving for a few days.

For those that don't know (most of you), I do this thing called 'Belegarth'. It's pretty much medieval combat reenactment with foam swords, shields, etc. It sounds a bit geeky at first, but it's actually really intense. I've gotten a black eye from one of our practices, and someone else broke his thumb once.

Honestly, I'm more tired and sore after 2 hours of that than I am after playing a couple hours of American football (and no, I'm not sitting off on the sidelines).

Anyway, the point of all of this is there is an event this weekend known as Western Wars. It's pretty much 2-3 days of nothing but fighting/camping. The other thing is, where it is held this year will most likely be in the upper 90's to low 100's.

I went to it last year, and after the 1st day, I barely wanted to move.

Anyway, because of this, I won't be able to be contacted.

What has made me happy, however, is that I got two new books!

Well, new as in the sense I have not read or owned them previously.

The first one was published a few years ago, and I bought it because I am a Halo Fanboy!

Anyway, it is Halo: Ghosts of Onyx. I only had enough time to read the first part yesterday, but I must say that I am liking it so far.

The second book is one that I've wanted for quite a while now, and is quite a bit older.

Actually, it's Sun Tzu's: The Art of War. Though, I suppose it could be considered a form of bible for some. If there is ever a book I was to study on my own, this would be it.

Okay, off I go to read and draw and eat! This is, of course, in no specific order.

Anyway, I had a mixed day yesterday. I had the day off, which was nice, considering I had an 11 hour shift that didn't end until 2am. But, I spent the day at Saturday Market (I'm sure some of you have something similar, and if you want details just ask). Anyway, I bought a new didge, which made me happy. It's considerably smaller than my first one, but it's also a lot more portable =P

After that, I went to see Star Trek for the second time. STILL an awesome movie.

Then I found out some of my good friends were in the theatre, also watching it, so I hung out with them after. We went to a local park, complete with a wooden fortress-like play structure and played hide and seek until it was fairly dark out, save for the glow of an already set sun, and the distant street light.

This is where things kinda went bad. Because of my nature, I was doing a bit of parqour (dunno how to spell it), and while jumping off some things, it jostled my phone just a wee to much... I take it out of my pocket to check the time, and find that the inner screen is cracked...

It's an LG Shine, so if anything, I figured the outer screen would crack, but no, where it displays all information is now ruined... I can still receive and dial calls, but I'm essentially blind...

However, that is probably the worst thing that has happened to me for a little while now, and, at the very least, it gives me an excuse to get an iPhone =P

...Though once I get it, I think I'll be a bit more careful with what I do when I have it on me...
