I have some wonderful news!

I've rented a good size house and I'm moving myself and two other furries in!

We've decided to dub our home "El Furado: City of Silicone" and operate it in the tradition of a slan shack/furry house.

So, I was given a quote of $2700 by a shop.

Fuck that, did it myself.

My car is back on the road after about 10 hours of work. I replaced my exhaust manifold, coil boots, water pump, thermostat, and thermostat housing.

We had to remove (other than the above,)the fuel rail, throttle body, alternator, fuel injectors, and quite a few brackets.

It was definitely a learning experience and overall cost me about $500 . . . and that was with an additional problem we found - that the coil boots were coming apart - as well as the purchase of some special sockets.

I call this a win. Thanks a lot to my friend Jax for helping me with this process! Could not have done it alone.

There I was, minding my own business, and my intake plenum cracked down the middle.

My poor, poor Lincoln Town Car! Coolant went everywhere . . . This cannot stand!

Got it towed to a shop, the estimate I got was ridiculous. $3k ridiculous.

Fuck that, I can fix this.

I ordered the parts I need, plus some specialty tools, which cost me a total of $380. I will be repairing my car tomorrow.

This is my first time attempting such a major repair, and my mechanic friend is going to be there to assist me.

I'm going to need to remove the alternator, throttle control, and entire intake manifold in order to repair this. I am also going to install a new thermostat and fuel pump while I'm at it.

Been a minute since I did one of the journal things. Does anyone even read them any more?

Be me, finally get settled in with the local furry community after a few years of living where I do, and things kinda came crashing down. Job laid everyone off. Brother almost died. That kind of fun stuff.

Now, I'm not sure if I'm staying in NY or not. Cali is calling my name. Los Angeles has a siren song that I can hear.


I'm not sure if I'm staying on the east coast. If I do, it will be to go to school again.

I'm not sure what's about to happen, but I am sure to make it an adventure.
