Has been a while since I made a journal here!

Just thought I would give a couple updates about stuff (including the Boring Life Stuff ™)

Firstly: plush commissions are closed until I catch up on my list (and I rework how many I take per month and price). I will get all of them done, so I hope to not let anyone down there, which is what i'm gonna mostly focus on in the coming months. Sculpture commissions will still be opened tho!

I actually want to push those more than plushes, since I'm a sculptor at heart, not a plush maker ahah, and those are less tedious to work on (and I can stream those!)

As for the timegears/pmd plushes, I am also working on a big batch of those! Hopefully to give me a bit more income too for cushion while I play catchup!

Secondly: I've had some trouble lately mental-health wise. I have a big problem with anxiety and now have a doctor who is looking to help me out. So, I'm on some Zoloft now and so far it seems to be helping me, and I can focus on making things again! Also this year will be a lot of big changes for me, including a move maybe around summer.

So I loved MFF and really enjoyed the dealer's den. I'm thinking of bringing a buncha mini plushes and mini sculpts to sell (along with the SSP-Comics prints) and maybe other stuff.

But I'm not super sure how to do this since I'm Canadian. I don't wanna get denied entry. Anyone do these cons in america and are international know what you need to do to not piss off the border police? I honestly have no idea what applications I need and how much it will all cost.

Alright! So now that the comiccon has come and gone (and taken some time to recoup) let's get down to business!

Here's stuff I gotta do in the coming weeks.

1) Finish off and post the mini plushes (i have some leftover to make). I will finish that this week.
2) Stream some sculpture commission work, I have one I need to finish for the month's end, it's for a wedding!.
3) Get started on the plush commission list again, I put it off for the comiccon.

So you have probably noticed a lack of updates/streams from me (more than usual).

I've been busy prepping for my booth at comic con on July 8th-10th and thus literally everything else is on hold.

You may have noticed my twitter feed showing updates on it.

So far I have:
-some mini plushes I'm getting ready / designing / making
-time/sky/darkness gears
-a buncha prints I'll be selling for the SSP crew
-my business cards
-left over kyogre scarves
-left over kanto badges

What I need to do still:

-make more mini plushes (I'm aiming for 5 variations)
-try to make the 3ds mini messenger bags
-bunch of mini sculpts
-key chains (maybe)
-stickers
-the mega zard Y for the raffle (im vastly running out of time for this)
-find out if they provide the chairs and whether I can hang prints on the dividers behind me

Once the con is over, my schedule will return to normal and I can get back to commissions.

You might have noticed I ran out of clay during my last stream, so gonna have to put  toxiczangoose commission on hold for a lil bit. Plus that also means no sculpt streams til then!

I should be receiving more Super Sculpey by the 17th, according to Amazon. So, it's all good.

Plushes! Okay I fell behind on this, for lots of reasons that are both Boring Personal Life Problems™ related and also playing catch-up because of it. That being said I'm gonna try to knock out the next two ASAP. It's a shame I can't stream plush work, mostly because it will cause death-by-boredom to the viewers.

Lastly, I've tried to organize my page a bit clearer and also put info for commissions in the commissions tab. Apparently lots of people weren't even aware I had sculpture commissions!

So yeah, thats a thing I've been doing for a while now!

I've managed to order the fabric I need from an American company, but they still use UPS which sucks as I am Canadian. So to avoid this, I got it shipped to someone on the east coast (my side) in the States and they're shipping it to me via USPS (shipping within USA was free anyways).

So it should be coming very soon, since it's not far from where I live. Just to update anyone waiting.

Much thanks to  buyobutt for acting as middleman for me and saving me a huge headache.

I cannot seem to get a hold of my usual go to fabric supplier.

I'm getting a bit fed up having to rely on fabric suppliers who just up and stop communicating with you.

Anyone waiting on a plush right now, there is gonna be delay till I can scramble to find another supplier who won't be unreliable...

In the mean time to be able to fill in orders, I'm gonna see if I can find some fabric either locally or find something on etsy.

I have looked into the fabric abyss, and it stared back into me.

What the hell is a slot, Mr. Totodile?

Quite simply, 1 slot = 1 person. It's basically a place in the commission list for you, guaranteed.

6 slots available at a time.


So what are the Prices and Specifics?

Minimum size: 8 inches tall/long, I cannot go smaller than this.

Base Prices (these are just the base prices, depending your plush request, will increase, all in USD):
- 150$ for 8 inches
- 200$ for around 1 foot
- 300$ for 2 feet (anything bigger will depend, I'll give you a price)

These are only BASE prices, and are only meant to give a rough ballpark of what you will need. Complexities and other things/add-ons will increase the price!
(These base prices wouldn't be applicable though to something insanely simple, like say a Voltorb or Ditto, for that I'll give you a different price if applicable.)


There are a few other things I can do like armature so that it can be posed or like polymer clay embellishments, or a great number of other things too. Feel free to ask with your commission, I'll see what's doable!



Okay, so what do I need for a slot?

I'm glad you asked me this hypothetical buyer person!
To claim slot, you need to send the following in a note:
Provide a ref drawing/sketch of what the plush should look like (references of the character as is will not suffice, the ref should be what the PLUSH should look like!).

If you are like me and are not very, ahem, artistically inclined, you can commission one of these fine artists (just mention that you are commissioning a plush ref for this, so they know what to provide!):

Provide details if required, basically any little extras you want, this includes special fabrics/materials I might need for it.

The size (either height or length, which ever is bigger) of the plush and what kind of eyes you want for it (fabric paint or embroidered).

Where you live. I'd prefer getting the full address since I'll need to ship to you anyways, but if you want, you may just give a city AND country just so I can calculate the shipping costs.
Once I have this information, I'll get back to you with the cost. At which point, you'll provide me with your PayPal email address and I'll send the money request.

ONLY when the the FULL amount has been paid are you confirmed for the slot. (or half, but I will not ship out the plush until the rest is paid)

You cannot save slots in advance, it is first come first serve.


Anything else I need to know?

I have the right to refuse any commission. Just an fyi, I don't do NSFW, mlp ponies, sonic, humans (uncanny valley!) or remake existing plushes (be it ones I have made for others or other plushes, be it mass produced or custom from another artist)

Shipping can get very expensive if you live outside of Canada or USA, and if the plush is large as well.
While I more or less work on these in the order they appear on the list, I might move something up if it is time sensitive or if I have those available materials before I do another. But remember, I get my fabric most of the time from South Korea, which can take around 2 weeks to arrive.

I may come to you a few times if I have a question about how you might want something to look. I do aim to please after all~
Please make sure to send the money as payment for a service. Do NOT send as gift. I will be sending you an invoice, so this shouldn't be an issue.

You can ask for a private commission if need be, I won't post it up publicly. I will show that the slot(s) is filled, but it will just be "Private Commission".

PayPal ONLY (I think PayPal accepts credit cards too, I'd have to see).

I have no idea if these can survive the washing machine and dryer. So my advice is to not do that, just use a damp cloth to clean them.

These come from a smoke-free home. However, if you are deathly allergic to cats, please be warned I own a cat. I do keep her away from the plushes and keep them free of cat hair, but obviously 100% free is impossible, so yeah please do take that into consideration if you have severe reaction to cats.


Uh, tl;dr?

Okay might be a lot of info there, here's the main points:

-Send me a ref, size, details (kind of eyes, special fabrics, clothes, etc.), and a shipping location. When I respond with a price, send your PayPal email and I'll send a money request, once paid you are set! And remember, the more detail, the better!

-There are only 5 slots at a time, and each slot is max 1 plush (unless very big, might need 2 slots for it).

-Slots can't be reserved, first come first serve.

Pricing

I calculate prices like this: $35USD per inch of height (or length if longer than tall), plus the shipping. Now the price may go up or down, depending on the complexity of it (compare Ditto to say, something like Gyarados). I only use pokemon here as examples, I can do a lot of other stuff too!

For shipping, I just need your state, province or country if outside USA/CAN, I will only require a full address upon payment so I can ship it to you, but you can give it beforehand, not really much I'm gonna do with it haha!

I don't ship using the "Surface" method for overseas, since I have already lost a sculpture like that. And I try to get a tracking number, insurance and if I can signature, tho the last one can be pricey and I understand if you don't want it, but its safer~

I will offer you a couple viable shipping options you can choose from! (YAY)


I need this information to give you an estimate:

~Height (or length if longer) in Inches
(I don't go under 4 inches for most sculpts, unless it's something VERY simple)
~Shipping Address
~Description of Sculpture
(This is just to describe any details and such, go nuts)
~SCULPTURE REFERENCE (please make sure the artist is OK with this)
(This is important, this HAS to be a reference image of what the sculpture should look like, not just a reference of the character(s), I need this to make and quote your sculpture. All I need is at least a clean sketch with some flat colours, no shading required.)


*Note, if you are looking to buy the premade ones, I just need a location, since I still need to figure out shipping.



How to Pay?

I accept payments from PayPal only, it's safer this way! What I do is send you an invoice to your paypal email, which you provide to me when you accept the price quote. After that, you pay and I'll start the sculpture, unless you are behind someone else on a list. Do tell me if something is time sensitive though, I can bump it up for those reasons!



Restrictions:

There are a few things, ground rules, that you should know:

1) I have the right refuse to do any sculpture commission. Please do try to provide me SFW references, since I have to keep these opened when working on the sculpture, so it be kinda awkward to explain to anyone walking by my desk at home!

2) I WILL NOT make anything with the following:
-Sex/porn/suggestiveness
-MLP ponies, Sonic
-Humans (uncanny valley is brutal on me!)
-Gore or excess violence
-Anything hateful/prejudice/etc

3) Please do not try to argue my prices down. It takes me time for me to make these. These aren't toys, and aren't massed produced, but meant to be individual pieces for you guys to love!

4) Please pay for the sculpture first, I don't want to have to make the thing only to realize you don't want one anymore. At least this way, even if you suddenly disappear from the internet, I can still ship it to you when done. :3
