Anyone Going To Scotiacon?
General | Posted a month ago My friend and I have been planning to go in February, and it would be my first furry convention :'3 So I'm excited yet nervous.
My [partial] fursuit is an old sona of mine who is a border collie mix named Roxie. Unfortunately I do not have paw gloves but maybe I'll find some at the con :'3 For now I'll just wear white Winter gloves

Ruffles is still one of my mains but Zoe has always been my main main, especially since Zoe was my first official fursona (can't believe it's been about 14 years)

I haven't written or uploaded anything in a while so I thought I'd write up a journal!
ART:
- I haven't been getting a lot of motivation lately and have barely been on my laptop, just mainly my phone. I've also been busy trying to work on my confidence in RL and trying to help my Dad around the house.
- I've been getting problems with SAI when it comes to saving things, even when I use a USB stick. Sometimes it does save but then other times it decides to fail. I did try seek free art programs and even tried Krita, but it was either too complex or wasn't the right one for me. If anyone has any art programs they recommend then please let me know (preferably free since I'm unable to pay fees and stuff)
PERSONAL:
(CONTENT WARNING= Deaths/Illnesses, Depression)
- As some of you may know, 2024 has been the worst year for me. Earlier in the year my Auntie (Mum's sister) passed away, then less than 2 months later my Mum passed away (both died from cancer), then my most affectionate guinea pig Lily passed away (which was expected as she was getting old but it felt like bad timing).
- My Mum's passing has been the biggest struggle and I'm honestly still grieving, even if it's been since April. Before she passed, my family and I had been looking after her at home since that was her personal request as she hated the thought of dying in a hospital. There was, of course, nurses that visited and had stayed over a couple of times. Seeing her deteriorate everyday had been heartbreaking yet at the same time I would've preferred being with her rather than visiting her. She also got her wish that she had her final moments with her family around her.
- My Dad and I have been keeping each other strong during these months, and have been trying to seek some help. People have been noticing a change in me in a good way. They've noticed I've gotten a little more confident (despite that I feel like it's barely) and have made friends with people (helps that Dad knows most of them xD). I'm still getting there and I'm hoping to get some more help soon, along with discovering more about myself.
I'm not sure what else to say but that's what's been happening.

General | Posted a year agoMy Mum passed away today at the age of 65 (would've been 66 next month).
I've been upset with previous family deaths but this particular passing has really hurt me, especially since it was someone who had raised me for 29 years 😢
I haven't just lost my mother, I have lost my best friend who had supported me and had made me laugh with her silly moments or times when she was brutally honest 😆
Life is going to feel extremely weird without her but I'm going to make sure I'll be there for my family, just like how they'll be for me.
Love you, Mum 💔 I'll miss you but at least you are no longer suffering.It's My Birthday 🎂

General | Posted 2 years agoI don't have too much to say but that's me fully moved into a new house :D
It's been MEGA stressful and I've dealt with a lot of body pains, but that's most of the stuff sorted now <3
We still need new furniture but that'll come in time, plus our family have been helping out which we really appreciate ;u;
Even though my bedroom isn't 100% complete, I've definitely noticed a change in my mood!
I seem to be more happier compared to my old house (of course, I've lived in the old house for 18 years) so I wonder how I'll feel once everything is complete :3
My art mood has been up and down but I think it's due to feeling physically exhausted and/or giving my parents a hand.
Thank you to those who have been patient with me with owed art <3
I'll write another update at a later date, I thought I'd give a small update before disappearing again xD

I'm still stressed out with moving house and we haven't fully moved in yet due to waiting to get keys, but I'm excited at the same time. I'm hoping this new house will improve my health more (physically and mentally) since it has a garden and that I'm planning on making my room nature themed since that would be calming for me <3
I haven't been chatty in social platforms due to anxiety kicking me in the ass, but I'm hoping to chat normally sometime to close friends once I'm better. I still need to catch up on a couple of drawings, however hopefully I'll complete those soon-- I just need motivation and inspiration, plus a clear head due with everything happening right now.
2. Family Health (spoiler for sensitivity)
Relating to the previous sentence, I've been getting a lot of bad news regarding health of a family member, which is making me worried and scared. My Mum was diagnosed with lung cancer a few years ago but had a couple of nodules removed, so she survived that. Unfortunately recently we've learnt that a 1cm nodule has returned in a new area of the lung, but we're not sure if it's cancerous or not. She'll be getting a breathing test first (note that my mother is underweight and suffers from COPD) then get a CAT scan. I'm really hoping everything will be fine and that it's non-cancerous.
On top of that, we've also learnt that she possibly has osteoporosis in the spine, so yay for more good news x-x I've been trying my best to help her lately and reminding her to take her calcium & vitamin tablets twice a day, plus taking our dog Sparky out instead of her doing it-- especially since we live in the top floor currently. Wish my Mum luck that she'll get better soon ;v;
3. Birthday Coming Up
There isn't really much to say that I can think of but my birthday is coming up on the 1st March (next Wednesday) so I'll be turning 28 :')
I'm not expecting anything in return but any gifts are very much appreciated whether art or tips <3

Small Hiatus
General | Posted 3 years agoI may not be online much due to mental health and being distracted with Dreamlight Valley (which honestly has improved my mood more).
Another reason is that my parents and I are going to be clearing out a LOT of stuff since we're going to be moving house at possibly the end of the month! So that'll be both exciting and stressful xwx;

and I forgot my tablet pen at her house, which I won't be able to get until next week due to my friend
staying at her Dad's until the 27th
Typical I remembered my drawing tablet but forgot my only tablet pen when I thought I had it xD

My meowscarada had a few kids (a couple I kept for the early and mid evolution)
