interesting times
General | Posted 13 years agoWell I don't usually do these journals as I can't usually think of anything to say, but i just had quite the interesting day so I figured I'd share it. I'll preface this with a short explanation that I work tech support for a local ISP and I was just offered and accepted a supervisory position.
Anyway I generally work second shift (3:30 - midnight) but one of the overnight (midnight - 8 AM) supervisors called in sick so I volunteered to fill in. So I ended up working until one of the day people came in at 5 AM and relieved me early and was headed back home when I decided I needed some gas, the tank being near empty.
I stopped at a quik trip i frequent in the town I work in as it is conveniently on the way home and I just finish pumping when I see an employee walk in to the store clutching a rag to the underside of his arm. Being that my other job is emt in the town I live in I immediately went in and offered aid.
It turned out that they had pretty much done what could be in a prehospital setting and one of the managers was on the phone saying they would take him to the local hospital so he could get to the E.R. With that being the case I offered to drive him myself. As I drive I ask a few general questions on his state and find it is only the arm that had been injured, I got him to the hospital and saw him in to an E.R. triage room then returned to the quik trip to inform the manager.
So yea, interesting day.
