Over half a decade later....
General | Posted 2 months agoI'm still here! As any worker adult knows, once you enter the workforce it's hard to find time to create. Thankfully, I finally found a job that respects me and allows me to create during my downtime. You won't see me posting like back in my high school and college days, but it'll definitely be more than the past decade. I also got a tablet and have been creating more involved digital art as well as traditional! I have an additional fursona, Chakat Shade (full reference, partial reference), and you'll see my rat fursona updated soon with a beard and long braid for the undercut. I started testosterone and that's been going great. No time is too late to start, your gender journey is yours. Yes, you'll get different effects depending on when you start, and that doesn't mean you shouldn't bother if you missed your desired time. I'm trans and AuDHD in the USA, so my political life is pretty perilous. My personal life has never been better, my GAD and depression have been in remission since 2024 thanks to a combo of DBT, CBT, and ACT.
Hope to hear from you all soon!
Hope to hear from you all soon!
Sterilized!!
General | Posted 6 years agoI’ve been wanting to get sterilized since I was 16, and at 24 I finally did!! The pain is very minimal, can’t even feel it if I’m sitting still. Bye-bye oviducts!
Dragon Comic
General | Posted 6 years agoI'm trying to find a comic I read a while back (was ongoing at the time). It's on here, written by a dragon otherkin. It's about feral, European dragons who live underground. There's a royal family and the workers, and only one of them can breathe fire (can't remember which). Eventually the princess and a worker get out in the sun (and have scale textures) where others have also gotten out and there's some wyverns (which we only see a few times, as they're not very smart). They were planning an attack on the royals but it's heavily implied it doesn't go well, with maybe the rebellion being bad. The two main characters are striped and they're a shiny all-silver dragon as well.
Anyone know the comic I'm talking about? I can't find the artist in my list and I think they even watched me back, but it's not likely they'll see this journal.

Commission Emergency
General | Posted 7 years agoMy insurance decided it's not going to cover a very warranted $5k medical visit, so I need commissions now more than ever. I really appreciate your patronage if you chose to commission me!

Ups and Downs of Life
General | Posted 7 years agoSorry, it has been over a year.
In that time I got engaged! You can see the art I made about it here. You haven't seen art of Hootie yet because, quite frankly, feathers are time-consuming in illustrator! And so I haven't finished his reference sheet. He has penguin markings because he couldn't decide if he loved owls or penguins more, and penguin markings and much less complicated than owl markings. We do not yet have a wedding date because we were going to get married this past October, but in January a hiccup in my graduation route happened and it was pushed back a whole semester, so I am going to graduate this December. We currently can't afford to live together, so we don't see much point in getting legally married yet if we can't even do that. Once I have a job (he would help with income via his GI bill, it just isn't enough for him to live off on its own atm so he is working until I find a job) and we can afford to live together, we will get legally married. Hopefully, we will have our wedding in October/November of 2019. It's not going to be very traditional, as a lot of that is rooted in selling a virgin woman like a product, and I am not a woman nor product, so.... We're basically going to be exchanging vows and then eating/dancing - no aisle, no officiant, just vows, food, and dancing. We are wearing each other's favorite colors and everyone else can wear whatever they like - yes, even if that is white, and yes, even if that is pajamas, so long as they aren't legally indecent. We'll have pronoun pins and shut down any baby talk and it'll be grand! Hopefully!
My hope is to teach in underprivileged middle/high schools, the DJJ, and/or the adult prison. I want to give people the skills to better not only themselves, but also their communities, so that others do not get stuck in their position. And while yes, art doesn't seem like the most practical way to achieve this, science shows art participation improves ability in all the other subjects and has therapeutic effects. I want to help on the small scale, in the hopes that it ripples to a larger scale.
But yes, studies and work are why I haven't been active basically at all on here. To those who read this, how have things been for you?

I'm Not Dead!
General | Posted 9 years ago... school has just stolen my life.
I'm in my 4th and last full semester of my undergrad (sadly the program is a 5 year one, but fortunately the last two semesters are only a class per). As is such, I haven't had a lot of time for personal art, or art websites for that matter.
My 16 year old cat finally succumbed to her cancer and kidney failure, but they were a good 16 years. Life's been pretty good otherwise, I can go in to details if anyone is interested.

Family
General | Posted 10 years agoBeen a while
General | Posted 10 years agoI apologize for my absence, I just haven't been able to keep up with the internet since I transferred to a bigger university (did graduate from the technical school, though, got my Associate in Arts).
I have tumblrs, now, since that's where the art scene seems to be. You can see my non-art one here, and all of my art blogs are linked at the top.
Hope you're all doing well.

5 Months Now
General | Posted 10 years agoI found out how fun pleurisy isn't.
My mate lost is feelings for me... but I realized I didn't like him like that in the first place. Emotions are hard. We've stayed friends, though.
Got tested for STI's because it's something you should do. All clean!
Got these glasses in plum (I thought they were black when I got them, oops!). Favorite glasses so far.
My dog got his tumor removed - he did not appreciate the cone, but a shirt covered his wound fine.
I've gotten back into minecraft, woo!
I got tentatively accepted to a local 4-year college upon graduation from the technical college I currently attend.
Found out I was missing my Hep A and meningitis vaccines - got that fixed up right away.
Went to a thing aimed at people 11-21... no one told me you needed external gonads and dark skin, too. They didn't kick me out, but it was odd.
I got second place in my college's Drawing division for 'Masculine'.
I finally found an R&B and Hip-Hop station and the first day I'm playing it this black guy pulls up next to me, rolls down his window, and looks at me like, "Forreal lil white gurl?" I just shrugged with my hands up and said, "I like it, what can I say?"
I got a new mate - don't judge me. But he's what helped me realize I didn't like my former mate that way (met him after I broke up with my former mate) - I actually get butterflies when I'm with him.
I finally watched Breaking Bad - not sure if I hate Walter White.
I technically graduated, but I have one more class I'm taking in the summer. Walked across the stage, doh.
I cleaned my room and I'm actually able to use my desk again!
Trying to get a summer job. :S

OH SO IT'S A NEW YEAR
General | Posted 11 years agoI keep forgetting to do these. :D
My rat passed on - antibiotic-resistant bacteria.
Marriage equality came to my state!
I love being with my mate. We can make fun on the unrealistic aspects/film derps of a movie and still enjoy it, we make all the puns, neither of us want kids, he makes me feel like an adult and not just "so cute"... it's great. :3 He helped me realize that I was in an emotionally abusive relationship before, and I'm glad it's over.
Conversations with my mate:
Ty: That's brown!
Me: But it's not the SAME brown!
Ty: It still works!
Me: Which of us is the artist?
Ty: Which of us is actually brown?
I was writing a paper for school when I found out in my research that the idea I was basing my paper on didn't even exist when the story originated. I emailed my professor and she gave me an extension before I even asked. ;w;
I got kicked from my Astronomy class because my professor counted two of my tardys as absences. I had an A in the class, so it was just a withdrawl, not a withdrawl failing. I don't mind much, the teacher killed wonder and he didn't believe in global warming.
My 15-year-old cat has kidney failure, but we caught it early, so with this special food she should be okay.
While waiting on Rachel to get out of physical therapy, I took some pictures of this preying mantis. I relocated him to a tree where a lizard noticed him. The lizard pounced, but the preying mantis struck back, and they tumbled to the ground. The lizard released the mantis and ran off while the mantis spread its wings threateningly. Sadly, he broke his left pincer and leg in the tussle, but he can regrow them. NATURE, U SU CRAY.
I hosted a panel a panel at an anime convention on how to develop a realistic anime style (so that it looks like the person but is still anime), and I had 10-15 people come. Think it went well.
I was a tour guide at my school's haunted trail, got a lot of positive reviews.
If you don't understand the problem with calling a vulva a vagina, here: http://fav.me/d853xor
Heard a train stop, and it sounded like the wails of tormented souls from hell. I didn't open my eyes the entire time it happened. I've never been so superstitious since leaving theism. Fear is a powerful thing.
Looks like a monster, is actually harmless: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0NV3EK4YsP8
I gave a speech in my speech class about why you shouldn't cut your child's genitals, regardless of what those genitals look like. It's sad people don't see it this way.
I was the ghost of Christmas present in my not-church's pageant! Though I messed up a muscle doing the backdrop.
I finished my third semester with all A's. :)
When I went to pay for my classes this semester, I found out I was a day late paying for them and was kicked from all the classes. Fortunately, since I was only a day late, all my spots were still open - except one. The class had been canceled. I started freaking out when I remembered I have AP credits from high school from my 2D and 3D art classes. So I got to drop another class I didn't want to take. Then, I somehow had a debt on my fall account, but a credit on my spring well over it. Still, I can't change to an earlier class until that gets sorted out. Luckily, my professor doesn't care which class I attend.
My opinion of my classes so far:
American History Reconstruction-Now: Love the teacher, but he's hard. Already had some good discussions.
Anthropology: looks like it will be interesting, another discussion class
French: Turns out my french grammar sucks! But it has been a few years. Hopefully I can get that all worked out.
Astronomy (online): Not really sure yet, haven't had to discuss anything.

September Update
General | Posted 11 years agoI am in a new relationship. Sometimes I feel bad about how easily I seem to jump from one to the next, but maybe I'm just an amiable person? People seem to feel close to me way faster than I feel close to them. I just seem to attract people without meaning to. I hope that doesn't sound narcissistic, it's just an observation I've made. But I really enjoy this mate, he makes me feel loved and special and beautiful. We make horrible puns all the time and enjoy similar stuff. He insists he's not a furry, but would love a tail and finds fur and a tail on me hot. Denial, anyone? :p
Went to this year's Pride Parade and sat on my "church"s float. Apparently I looked very fancy wavin and stuffs. XD (I go to my local Unitarian Universalist congregation, we care more about what you do than what you believe, check it out here)
I turned 20! :D Doesn't feel much different from 19, but I get some more legal privileges. I had a rather mismoshed party due to other people's schedules, but I enjoyed myself. We played games for a while, then ate my birthday ice cream cake (which ended up being more of ice cream in the shape of cake. I got a tagua pendant from foxfeather, which you can see here, a Hyrule Hystroia, $25 worth of Riot points, a N64 pendant, zebra footie pajamas, a laptop desk, $50 to Amazon (was for a book set that ends up being over $50 :<), Goat Simulator, Wolf Among Us, aaaaand... I think that's it? But I'm not complaining, it's more about the people than the stuff. :)

August Updates
General | Posted 11 years agoMore forgetting, but not a whole month this time!
My classes:
Psychology 201 - Very peppy teacher, I know most of the stuff and feel like I'm back in high school. Though she uses the word "theory" a bit too liberally.
Public Speaking 205 - Know how to do this, just here for the credit. Understanding teacher, can't tell if my class likes me due to my first speech being about how my religious upbringing caused me to be passionate, even though I'm an atheist now. XD Got an A on it.
English - Early British lit (205) - Fun, tech-savy teacher with an open mind. She's pretty bad about getting back on emails, though....
Astronomy 101 - This teacher admits that he hasn't looked at the news in 20 years, and then says he does not think evidence points toward global warming. ._. He's so far had us answer about 2-3 questions factually wrong due to his outdated knowledge, and I'm afraid these student will go on to the next level and fail due to their inaccurate education.
Art - Renaissance and after art history (108) - I've had the teacher before and he's awesome. Also, people didn't know how to draw boobs back then either.
We had a scare with one of my dogs. He's a dachshund, so we're always on the look-out for back/hip problems due to their proclivity for them. He was yelping any time someone picked him up, and he was very lethargic. The vet put him on opium, and muscle relaxer, and something I forgot. He probably pulled a muscle, because a few days of bed rest he was all better!
Sexiest. Mating Display. EVAR.
I cleaned my room for the first time in maybe 6 months and I can actually use it again! Been keeping it clean for about three weeks now.
Drawing is essentially tracing from your mind parts of various images
I have three purely accessory belts now and three purses. Is this feeling... Feminine?
What have you guys been up to?

June and July Updates
General | Posted 11 years agoOops, forgot again.
Remember, titties are not pockets.
We found an even better Cube for a great deal.
My mate and I broke up due to differences in world views, but we're still friends.
I attempted to get a summer job, and many people wanted to hire me, but once they realized it was only for the summer they didn't.
Possible TMI warning I've been, ah, "meeting new people" lately, and I've enjoyed experiencing other people and how they go about "interactions." Don't worry, I've been safe about it! However.... End of TMI.
My art is on display at a local business!!
Possible TMI warning ... for a while I had thought my orgasms were just really intense physically, but rather "meh" mentally. Then one of my female partners warned me that I may not be experiencing orgams, but instead muscle spasms. I had suspected this due to previous Google searches. I went to my gyno about it, and I've been diagnosed with vaginismus. I have involuntary pelvic floor spasms that make penetrative sex (with a toy, finger, penis etc) impossible (entry not possible), painful for me and/or my partner, pushes my partner out, and/or cuts off their circulation. This has a high "cure" rate via counseling and physical therapy, but it could take years. It was caused by the rape, but it seems to be more physical than mental for me.End of TMI

OH, so, three months have passed.
General | Posted 11 years agoTime got away from me.
Barnabas decided not to stay with us. Turns out, his old owners abandoned him, so someone near there started feeding him. It's only a few blocks down, so we know where he's going now, but that's where he's decided to stay.
We got a new dog - a lab-pit mix. Before you gripe about pit bulls, the logic behind breedism is the same behind racism. He's about a year, black with brown eyes, and very loving. He chases his tail and sleeps with his eyes open.
My college had an art show, and I won an honorable mention in drawing for Ace Pride (which I was really disappointed about, having submitted many more and better pieces), second in 3-dimensional for Prom Box, and first in 3D for Battle Dance (however, there was only one other entry that wasn't mine, and it was bad). I got $25 for my 1st place.
I did some sketching at my local zoo. I'll post the results if anyone is interested.
For my final project in art this go around, I did a series of pictures of the entire male and female reproductive systems (one just a female, one just a male, one two females dancing, one two males dancing, one male and one female dancing). They have different builds and are exemplifying the sex they represent. It's also criticizing how people reduce each other to a person's reproductive system (vulva = woman and all those prejudices, penis = man and all those prejudices).
I finished my first year of college with a 3.8.
My hair, which has been down to my waist for quite some time, has been cut to just below my shoulders. Not sure if I'll update my fursona to reflect such.
I went to MagiQuest with my sisters and a friend. Unfortunately, driving 3 hours to, flicking a wand around, driving three hours back, and then doing several caricatures the next day did a number on my wrist. Fortunately, it's not carpal tunnel syndrome, because it was all of my fingers being affected (CTS does not affect the pinkie).
SPEAKING OF CARICATURES, I'm hoping to do them at my local zoo as a summer job. I need to save money up for college. D: So far I've signed up with two temp agencies and interviewed at a local place that does art classes for all ages. The art class place wanted to hire me as a person and for my skills, but they could not afford to take on a temp.
About 20 mommy bees have decided to make their nurseries in the earth of our front lawn. Luckily, if you don't poke them, they don't poke you.
My little sister turned 17!
My senile cat has an upper respiratory infection AND a receding gum line. Yaaaaaaay.
I was in a car wreck yesterday. I was turning left, saw no one coming from either direction (neither did my passenger on my right), but apparently someone was coming from the right, because we got t-boned at at least 45 mph (it's likely it was faster due to how far around we turned). We would have been much better off if I had hit the gas, but I unfortunately hit the breaks out of panic. I'm considered the "contributor" instead of at fault due to it being an accident. However, my poor baby is totaled. ;_; It was a good 5 months. I hope to get another Cube or similar car. I'm only bruised, as is my passenger that sat behind me (I had 2).
February Updates
General | Posted 12 years agoWe had another ice/snow storm (hardly). If you think this disproves global warming, you should research global warming, because its name is misleading. Both our gazebos feel through. :(
My mate and I went with my parents and a group of their friends to Longhorn. Wasn't too horribly awkward.
If you haven't been paying attention, my family has taken in a stray, Barnabas. Long story short, he has FiV (feline HiV), but we're still keeping him. Read the whole story here.
I have new glasses! They're kinda flappery. They're the brown type of these.
I've started watching Walking Dead. Always on the alert for jumpscares. It's also mildly sexist.
What is your opinion of Valentine's day?

CAT IN NEED (UPDATE 3)
General | Posted 12 years agoUPDATE 3: Unfortunately, Barnabas has tested positive for FiV (feline HiV). However, after much discussion, we are still keeping him. He'll be indoor-outdoor, due to not feeling the need to mate after being fixed, and not being a threat to unfixed toms. His strand of FiV is also particularly benign, so it should be okay.
Please don't hassle me about keeping a positive cat around our negative cats/being allowed to roam. The only other option is letting him roam entirely, without getting him medical care, until we can get him a home.
UPDATE 2: My parents decided we will be keeping him! However, we still appreciate donations, since this is a more expensive route than surrendering.
UPDATE: The fees were less than I thought, $350. Still a lot, still open for donations and work.
I recently found a stray with a horrible gash on his neck (proof). I took him to the vet, and without someone making sure he doesn't scratch it it won't heal. He is most likely a stray, being intact and not microchipped, but he is super friendly and social. I'll be giving him to a no-kill shelter tomorrow, but the vet and surrender fees total to almost $500. I am willing to do art to cover, and also accept donations. Please spread the word!
TL;DR:
-Cat injured (proof)
-Stray
-Will be surrendered to no-kill shelter
-Total fees near$500 $350
-Doing art/stories/etc to raise money
-Please spread

January Updates
General | Posted 12 years agoI am not commenting on the recent events on FA.
I have a new mate, one I actually met off OKCupid. We're on the same page on nearly everything and he's also a nerd. He's not a furry, but it doesn't freak him out.
My family did our first family portrait in at least 16 years. I had a cold sore break out (first in many years) days before, of course.
Evaluation of classes thus far:
Prob & Stat: will be mostly easy, professor is nice, slightly country accent (Shelbeh vs Shelby)
Art 2: Fun professor (had him last semester), fun class, will consume a lot of my free time, but that's art.
English 2: Professor reminds me of Mr. Keating from Dead Poets' Society. Probably will have more time spent on her homework then usual.
Biology 1: Nice teacher, most I already know, may be slightly challenging.
Biology Lab: Teacher helps when asked directly, gets FSM jokes, I'll probably be the only one who knows what they're doing at my table. Yay my high school!
Computers 1: Will probably finish well before the end of the semester, the teacher likes to share and I know most of the material.
I got a new dress!!
I bought a textbook that was the wrong one. Can't return it. :I
Chester has pneumonia, but I caught it early enough that it won't be a problem.
IT SNOWED AF JDKAFJAL. We rarely get snow in my part of the world. We got 3 inches!!
How did any of you celebrate the new year?

December Updates
General | Posted 12 years agoI signed up for OKCupid recently, and it's been interesting. Certainly helps getting through all the ones who don't work.
Turns out, my cat is claustrophobic. This means she prefers a leash when going to the vet's, which is actually pretty fun.
I GOT A NEW CAR! 8D My old car, a 1996 Buick Century, had a huge hood and a high dash. I'm 5'1", so I had issues driving it. My new car is a 2010 Cube, and it's PERFECT. x3
I was a narrator in my "church"'s Christmas pageant, "The Straw that Broke the Camel's back."
I managed to finish my first semester of college with a 4.0! :D
My rat, Billy, died of kidney failure. Third rat to die of such, I haven't had much luck with their kidneys it seems.
I carved a bust for a friend of mine's Christmas present who's obsessed with antiquity. http://slipping-star.deviantart.com.....pher-421548621
I spent Christmas with my immediate family, thank the gods. My extended is mostly ignorant and racist. We had fun and I got some good stuffs. :3
Did any of you celebrate holidays, and if so, how?

November Updates (F5 for secular Christmas icon)
General | Posted 12 years agoI get into the secular American Christmas aspects like nobody's business. YOU GAIZ HAVE NO IDEA.
But anyhow, what happened....
Since I never had been tested for dyslexia and dysgraphia, the school wanted someone to vouch that I indeed had it. Since I had discussed it with my high school psychologist in junior year, I went to see if he would vouch for my disability. He did, and I turned the paperwork he vouched on into my college. A week later they got me in an appointment and didn't force me to take any tests (which is good, because they're around $1,500!). I get 150% of the in-class writing time or I can do it on my laptop (which is what I really wanted). The disabilities head also gave me some good pointers, like using graphing paper for math (which has worked WONDERS) and using DragonSpeak when I start taking my foreign language (French if I don't place out). The paper (which I got a D on) will be dropped if it brings me down a letter grade.
I got a 98 on my research paper (only for a few grammar errors and not long enough conclusion). :D I argued in favor of comprehensive sexual education. If you want to debate it, note me.
We've been having a fire in our fireplace nearly every day, which has been nice.
I joined FurryMate- COMPLETE MONEY GAB.
I joined OKCupid, and it's been pretty interesting. I met someone too early (should have answered more questions, would have been obvious they weren't a good choice), so I've been more stringent. But it's always with people in a public setting. I've met someone nearly perfect, I'm just waiting for any attraction to develop. Nonsexual problems, yo. And they know what furries are and are okay that I am one! :D
My friend crocheted a Thanksgiving sweater for my dog with turkeys on it. x3 We had turkey and cranberry sauce and ham and stuffs and we'll have food forever it seems. XD Just my immediate family and my sister's mate came around.
I'll run the Ammit Vore YCH open until the end of the year, then I'll start drawing the person in. PLEASE tell your friends if they're into it!
If you celebrate Turkey day, how did you? If not, are you going to celebrate a winter holiday?

Attention Vore (hard and soft, macro and normal) lovers!
General | Posted 12 years agoI'm going to do both a soft macro and a normal-size hard vore piece in which someone has entered the Egyptian afterlife and their heart is heavier than a feather. Consequently, Ammit consumes them. I at first planned to do merely your typical Egyptian, but then I thought, "Why not open it up to furries?" These would be done in comics, and if there's enough interest I will post sketches before I chose the fallen soul. If there is more than one person interested in each role, then there shall be an auction! If you know people you think would be interested in this, please let them know about it! This is a chance to have your character in Egyptian garb, full color! If there's not much interest, I'll fill the role with a typical Egyptian.
TL;DRt:
-Hard vore, same size comic, concerning Ammit
-Soft, macro vore comic, concerning Ammit
-If more than one person is in each role, there will be an auction for it
-If there is not much interest, the role will be filled with a typical Egyptian

October Updates
General | Posted 12 years agoMy dyslexia and dysgraphia finally became a problem; we had an in-class essay, and I hardly got the third paragraph. With luck, I'll be able to get on disability and redo the assignment. But besides that my grades are good.
I went to my lady doctor (who happens to be a man) and I'm in tip-top shape (yay!). I also had my physical and got my chicken pox and tetanus boosters, as well as the second HPV shot (ow!).
My mate lost his attachment to me... :<
For Halloween I have dressed up as a stingy librarian and plan to go to a par-tay!

September Updates (F5 for Halloween Icon)
General | Posted 12 years agoLet's see, what did I do this September?
One of our resident spiders made an egg sack! She's a mommy!
I dressed up as a pirate to get free donuts from Krispy Kreme.
My rats had been fighting because one of these viciously hoard and protects his food. My vet suggested giving them separate, but adjoined cages. I don't have room for that, so I gave them excessive food. Not only did it stop their fighting, the submissive one is forcing the dominate one to cuddle AND helping him hoard.
For my birthday I put up decorations that fell down throughout the party. I had 5 friends over; we played Cards Against Humanity (which ended up being one of my presents, yay!) and watched the newest The Great Gatsby. I read the book, BUT IT WASN'T NEAR AS SAD AS THE MOVIE. ;_;

August Updates
General | Posted 12 years agoSo I started school. I like the teachers and I met a fellow furry, akelzeo. The way we met was kinda funny, we kept making nerdy comments during math and after we looked at each other and he's all, "So, exchange numbers?" Only found out he was a furry after he mentioned going to AnthroCon. SO JELLY.
My art/art historyteacherprofessor's intriguing, he gave us a paper on The Woman and Willendorf for our first assignment, and most of the people were like, "Holy crap, boobs and labia," and I was all, "lulz gaiz, eez juss fertility." But I think that was kinda his point, "This is art, grow the fuck up." He's somehow retained his British accent after being in the south for 22 years.
If on a scale of 1-10, 1 is horrible, 5 is neutral, and 10 is awesome, my english teacher's a 6. I could swear she said she'd post our homework on the website, but it was actually in the syllabus, so I missed my first homework and quiz. DX But she says it shouldn't hurt me that bad if I don't do it again.
My history teacher's interesting. He's agnostic due to odd happenings in his life, but he's tolerant and knowledgeable of other religions and accepts that we created them to make sense of our world. We talk a lot via e-mail and I gave him my Connected painting because I figured he'd appreciate it and it was gathering dust, anyhow.
My math teacher's a good teacher, but the way he states things will make people who have trouble with math feel stupid.
My birthday's coming up on the 27th! :D If you want to get me something, you may commission anyone from my favorites list to do art of my fursona and/or myself and my mate, as long as they follow my character use policy. Please make sure they see this tutorial in case they've never drawn rats before!

We are Survivors [Rape Content Warning]
General | Posted 12 years agoThere's a campaign starting where rape survivors are helping other rape survivors deal with the event. I've never posted a journal about it, because I'm not looking for sympathy on the event. I was 16, and I'd known the guy for a long time. He was convinced that a girl's first time had to hurt, and he wanted to help me get it overwith so I could enjoy sex. But he went about it all wrong. There was little foreplay, we didn't even get naked, and my body gave all the signs of "no"; dry, closed vagina and my lack of participation. I said "slow down" and "stop" several times, and he would comply for a little bit before trying again. He said he got in, but I certainly couldn't tell, being in too much pain and much too tight to register. Neither of us orgasmed, and on the whole it was stupid, forced, and awkward, and left me literally ripped. But I never reported him. And I won't. Because I've known him for a long time, and I know he was sincere in his desire to help me come to enjoy sex, I don't think he'll go about doing this again, nor do I think he went about what he did with the intention of raping me. It was a matter of miscommunication and ignorance.
But it has left me with some issues. As far as I'm aware, I cannot have vaginal sex. I have some theories as far as some physical issues that may be causing it, but I also have no doubt my body's memory of that rape also is affecting my ability to be heterosexually intimate. Even though the event does not enter my mind, I'm sure it's there unconsciously.
I'm sharing my story so that other non-violent rape victims can know that they are not alone, and what their perpetrator did was not right and indeed rape. If anyone wants to talk about an experience they had that they may think is rape, my notes are enabled.
For more information on the campaign, go here.

Request Journal!
General | Posted 12 years agoI realised I hadn't started one of these on FA yet.
I will sketch the first 10 people to comment on this journal WITH their reference. In return, I ask that you offer 10 free sketches in your own journal. It's fine if it's an old journal you haven't filled all the slots for yet. I just want a link.
