Posted 10 years agoRecently as a guest on a stream I referred to myself as 'furry trash' in a careless manner, and several people in the stream, some of which hadn't even commented at all, chimed in all saying 'What do you mean furry trash? Every furry I've met has been a wonderful person!' and that's incredible. I mean when would a bunch of random internet people agree on something overwhelmingly positive?
But you know what they are completely right. I take back my statement about Furry 'Trash' forever. This community is wonderful and should be treasured as one of the last modern internet bastions where art is commissioned, traded, loved and truly still valued. And so are the artists that make it.It makes world of difference to me when my art is a little corner of the universe that others enjoy.

Just need to get some of those crazy animal feelings somewhere else. Considering making a separate furporn account, as my old stuff doesn't feel quite right here.
It's hard deciding what to do to gain notoriety and commissions versus what improves me as an artist... sometimes those experimental feels leak out so I'm giving an alias a shot.
Finally have a fixed tablet so commissions will be starting up again soon!

Broken Tablet and a short Wacom Rant
Posted 10 years agoSorry for the lack of updates as of late everyone! I try to upload at least once a week, but tragically, alas, my wacom tablet pen of 4 years has ended its journey. Poor thing died from overuse. I may be posting some old art, but besides that I should hopefully be getting new equipment with Christmas money once I return home.
Now speaking of wacom, despite loving their products I have a serious problem with the fact they dominate a niche market. Only just in the last years alternatives from china have begun to get competent enough to compete. This means digital artists are finally getting a chance at different product, but the high end just doesn't seem to be there yet.
Wacom seems to fall under the same umbrella as Adobe, where being the only provider means they can essentially charge what the consumer is just barely willing to pay. It's around $100 for a single pen, which hardware wise is essentially a tilt mechanism and cheap pcb attached to a nib in plastic casing. Zero moisture durability, designed to be impossible to sauter back together if a connection comes lose, and the casing can't be opened without cracking it.
I'd love a cintique but the pricepoint is just atrocious! They don't even have the glass fused LCD screens, so it's closer to a laptop LCD screen, so you feel the space between the nib and screen when you draw, unlike ipads. Sorry for teching out, I just wish the technology industry would progress past this being so expensive for the creative industry =3=

I'm excited to be going to the mountains, back home to visit my family and the snow. Hopefully it will be inspiring artistically to boot.
My family doesn't do presents in a traditional sense, we give draw names and give each individual person a special handmade gift, with more memories than values.
Though being a halloween geek there's definitely some magic to the winter season❆

Posted 10 years agoSo I just came up on my 6th move of this year, every time I settle it seems time to pick it all up and go again. It makes me glad I have a few close friends online, but constantly leaving my real life friends behind is getting hard.... I'm lucky to have a loving partner but he doesn't seem to need the tangible friendships I keep losing. Things will definitely improve as we settle again and where we are living is super nice. Guess I'm just a worry wart.
Some of our new housemates have the cutest kittens at least :3

Posted 10 years agofinally nice to feel a little back into the flow of things. For some reason when it comes to anatomy (lets be real that's all porn is) it's sometimes SO EASY to draw and other times its like animals and humans might as well be made out of floppy sausages for all my drawing abilities can manage. But practice is returning them to me! Or maybe it's just the late night inspiration....
I spend a lot of spare time making games, and I thought it might be fun to combine my two hobbies and make a VN dating porny type thing as a fun little project. I don't doubt it's been done a lot before, I've just never seen a good one yet! Perhaps more research is in order.
