I recently started playing Ingress, an augmented reality game available on Android phones. I'm really enjoying the idea behind the game, the social aspect and the fact that I have a great motivator for getting more exercise via walking.

I was very happy to have fursuited at ConFuzzled this year. No less than 3 times in fact! I really should have gone out more but I found myself rather busy and the weather was particularly warm. Seemed folk responded well to when I did suit up, though some of the people who know me well made jokes like it being my annual fursuit considering I don't fursuit that often. Those who hadn't seen the suit before really liked to see it however :)

There were problems with the eyes of the suit from when it was originally made as the mesh was too fine and dense meaning that when I sweated (which I do a lot in suit!), the sweat would condense on the eyes making it very hard to see. Fortunately when I was almost ready to completely retire the suit, deezlberries offered to have a go at fixing it. He replaced the eye mesh and also removed some annoying foam from inside the head and it truely gave it a new lease of life.

The main reason I've not been happy with the suit is that ever since I first got it, the bodysuit has been ill fitting. From looking inside the suit, it just looks like it was made in a hurry, and it doesn't fit well vertically so it means I'm not as flexible in suit. Also the arm widths seem to be different, the white fur is poor quality and some of the stitching is now coming apart.

So, while I know that some friends would prefer me to get a new fursuit and a new character as I seem to have been revising my SlyCat fursuit for some years now (well since 2001 when I got my Sylvester suit technically!) I would like to get a new bodysuit for SlyCat. Therefore, I need to find someone who can make a new bodysuit for me. Preferably based in the UK and can make it before Eurofurence. Any suggestions?

I got back from my 5 day trip to France yesterday which included attending Timduru's Meerkat Manor Dance, seeing Paris and the headline event of attending the annual Disneyland Paris Halloween event where loads of fursuiters went into the park in suit!

I said I wouldn't get tied up in the nonsense of the first day registration for ConFuzzled. However, it opened today and I happened to have cash in my account from the return of my deposit from my previous tenancy so I've registered this evening and got my #numberwang reg number of 141 :D

So, who else is going? Would be great to see more of my American friends attend :)

I'm happy to announce that I have finally completed my EF16 video. I'm slightly ashamed that it's taken me 3/4 of a year to do it but I've got there in the end :)

The main reasons for the delay in me getting the video done were due to me being unhappy with the footage. I filmed 2 hours worth and still felt I didn't have what I needed to make a coherent video like I did with my Confuzzled 2010 video. Also, due to the generally poor light in the Eurofurence hotel, most of the footage is dark and noisy, and also has random vertical lines every now and then. Next time I'll certainly be using a purpose made camcorder rather than a camera (although that said, again my CF2010 video was filmed with the same camera and that came out fine).

I had a fantastic time at Confuzzled 2011. I had the chance to fursuit for the first time since RBW 2009 thanks to the awesome Deezlberries fixing the eyes of my head. Due to the heat, I only fursuited Sunday evening but if there is any chance people took some photos/video, please let me know :)
