I added my commission info and current prices to the commissions tab on my profile. We'll see if I get sick of trying to keep it updated, but it's nice to have examples to point to and such.

I'm so excited for art fight this year 'cause I've finally upgraded from a 12 year old bamboo fun to a fancy screen tablet and I'm gonna use art fight as practice to get used to new tablet and aaaaaaaaa.

Commissions are open again! Limit of 6 total right now 3 on the work queue and 3 on the wait list.
I won't be taking reference sheets or large telegram sticker orders currently.

On a related note, I'm thinking of recalculating my commission prices again because I feel like I've improved quite a bit since the last time I thought over my service costs. This is an early heads up for the coming price changes since I'm not sure how drastic they might be. (hopefully not too high since I don't wanna scare commissioners away, ahaha)

March 20th is the day I'm planning to roll out new prices, commissions accepted before then will be charged current prices so... yup.

Soooooo, heeeey. I've been really busy lately and slow at working on stuff.
I've got a lot of personal projects that I wanna try to work on this year including doing more animation stuff.

For the time being I think I'm going to put a hold on taking larger commission works like reference sheets and sketch pages and stick to just colored sketches and smaller things for a while. I might switch to opening commission types based on what I feel like doing at the time or doing experimental commissions where I try new styles and junk. But yeah, gotta take less big work for a while, might also need to go over my prices again and recalculate what I charge.

On another note, I started up a Pateron for my SFW art.
Every month I'll draw some stuff just for the patreon and people supporting it will get to see it 2-4 weeks before I post it publicly. No paywall blocking stuff to just patreon only forever. Support through patreon will allow me to to spend more time working on personal projects (sfw and nsfw) over doing commission stuff. Stuff like animations, learning new stuff like 3D rendering, and making art related videos.

I'm wanna try hard to push myself to making more out of my art without burning out as much as I have been.

I got kinda overzealous at the start and pumped out a bunch of attacks, but I gotta slow down now to rest my wrist and also work on some other stuff that really needs to be done.
Gonna still try to do some attacks and stuff when I get the chance though.

Gosh dang, something about the weather this past week is wrecking havoc on me.
My wrist has been aching something fierce for more than a few days and it's made drawing difficult.
So this is a heads up that i'm gonna be really slow working on stuff until my wrist feels a bit better.

Now is the time to release the beast inside or adopt a lovable monster for your own.

Monster Month is a time for special beast-y themed commissions opened through the month of October. I'm starting them a couple days early to make up for the few days that I'll take breaks from drawing during the month. (my birthday 19th and Halloween) The cutoff for this event may be within the last week of October, an exact date will announced later.

If you have any questions or concerns that are not answered in this journal, feel free to ask me about them.

How it works:
STEP 1 - PICK ONE (OR BOTH):
a) Choose a character of yours to become / be the base for a MONSTER!… OR
b) List some desired colors and/or traits, and let me design a creature for you!

STEP 2 - PICK ONE (OR BOTH):
a) Select up to 3 of the potions explained below… OR
b) List your own themes for the monster!

I will create a creature design based around your choices, and it will be yours to own!

The commissioned art can be SFW or NSFW. It's your choice.

Beast: Big and wild. Think werewolves and minotaurs.
Deep Sea: Mysterious and dark. Think sea serpents and tentacles.
Void: Creepy and unnatural. Think many eyes, teeth, and limbs.
Crystal: Sharp and strong. Think golems and elementals.
Kaiju: Large and destructive. Think monsters built to fight and glowing accents.
Demon: Tricky and malicious. Think devils and imps.
Mystery: A little bit of everything. Could end up with anything.
Create: List themes of your own choosing.

It was a fun three days. I walked so much it felt like my feet were made of fire by sunday and then I had to walk more to get home, but it was worth it.
I think I managed to avoid getting con crud too 'cause I wore cloth masks during the entire convention. =u= Feels nice to get home and not be sick.

Anyway, I hope everyone had a nice weekend.
I'm gonna spend the next day or so resting and maybe doodling a little, then I'll start prepping to open commissions again.
Also, I dunno how much interest there is in my imp designs, but I have a few more I've been drawing that I might offer up as adopts soon.

I'm going to be closing my commissions on July 30th and they will stay closed all the way until August 16th.
The reason for this is I'm going to be busy on the weekend of August 5th and then the very next weekend I'll be going to a big convention. I always get sick after a convention so I don't want to pile on any work and not have the time or energy to do stuff.

So yup, won't be able to do any commissions during that time.

Sorry 'bout that. I've been in kind of an art block I guess.
I've been able to draw commission stuff alright, but trying to draw stuff for myself has just been bleh so i haven't really had much to post lately.
I do have, like, a backlog of imp character designs i did over the past few months, but i'm not sure I want to post them or sell them as adoptables or what so i'm just kinda... holding on to them? I dunno.
Not sure what the point of this journal was. Life update? Personal babble? *shrug*

It's a fun concept and I'm enjoying it so far.

I've spent the last few days getting all my stuff in order for taking commissions again. As usual, I'll only be accepting three commissions at a time so I don't overload myself and I'll be trying to stream and record as much drawing as I can.

There's still a few things I need to finish before I can open for commissions, but it shouldn't take too long.

I made it a little more organized and added some new stuff on there.

Also I'll be handling invoices a little differently now. Since paypal allows partial payment on invoices I'm going to have that option set for all invoices so instead of asking for full payment before I start a commission I ask for at least half. Paypal also allows for tips on invoices now too, gonna leave that option on as well since I've had more than a couple people tip me after a commission was completed and giving that option in the invoice will hopefully be more convenient. :3

Anyway, yay commissions soon~
