Opening My Discord Server (Also Bluesky)
Posted a year agoJust wanted to announce that I'm opening my discord server!
Long story short, I wanna chat with the lovely peeps who enjoy my art. I'm not too sure where me or my stuff will be in the future, but I can guarantee that everything will be in this server.
If you wanna chat or see my things that don't get posted, it's all there.
The server code/link: fA9FwhnaTk
It's an 18+ server so I manually verify everyone. Send me a note with your discord name, whether you're over 18 and, acknowledgement of the rules and I'll verify you as soon as I can.
I'll also be leaving the link on my profile, if you want to join in some time later!
In other news, I have a Bluesky!
You can find me here: https://bsky.app/profile/snappsu.bsky.social

Finally Opening Commissions
Posted a year agoLike the title says, I'm open for commissions!
You can read a tl;dr here: https://x.com/SnappsOwO/status/1843351082069831950
I dunno how many I'm going to pick, but I'll be closing submissions when October ends.
Commission form, TOS, samples, whatever, found here: https://snapps.dev/commissions/

Intermisson 2 (Technically 1)
Posted 5 years agoSorry for the radio silence! I've been waist-deep into coding a little something for a bigger project. I'm planning on uploading more art (as well as programming if people are interested) soon. For now, I'll let you in on what I've been doing.
For a while now, I've been trying to make an RPG game from the ground up but life and inexperience kept getting in the way, but I think I've finally set up a decent foundation.
I already have the blueprint of a few things, like combat, lore, and gameplay, but I know that a lot can happen between alpha and release.
Anyway, in my project, I want there to be characters that have their own color palette. The gif found here is what I came up with to satisfy my problem; a sprite that has its own palette and can change on the fly. Right now, it only uses random colors and little color math to create a palette but in the future, I plan on fine-tuning that process so it looks more believable. I know I could've just had an array of pre-colored sprites, but I love having variety.
I think I'm doing pretty fine for my first time using 2D graphics.
On a side note, even though I worked with Unity before, I—in a spectacular display of ineptitude—decided to write the first draft of the script in C++ only to later re-learn that Unity uses C#.
Always remember: measure twice, cut once.
